Located conveniently across the street from the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca Cola, and the Human rights museum, this hotel is great if you visiting these places. It has a free breakfast that offers a similar menu every day (sausage, eggs, bagels, homemade waffles). The cleaning routine is inconsistent. They literally put new towels on our unmade bed and emptied out the trash cans. Front desk staff is friendly and prompt. read more

Great hotel, centrally located in downtown Atlanta, right next to The Atlanta Aquarium, The Coca Cola factory and Centennial Park, five minute walk. The room was clean and modern, so was the bathroom and even though the hallways had rug, it always smelled clean not musty. They have complimentary breakfast till 10 AM which the basic things, like scramble eggs, yogurt, cereal, baked goods, juice and coffee. Even though it was basic, it is always nice to have a free breakfast if on the go. There's a bar inside but I did not go. I did see some people there at night watching a sports game. The best part about this place were the front desk staff. The three ladies were so nice the entire time we encountered them. Big shout out to to Marie, I think that's her name, but she's been in the front desk for a while. She was really nice to mom specifically and her hospitality was A+. The hotel has good prices and deals but the parking was steep with mandatory valet at $55 a night. There really is no other parking outside so you kind of have to give in to paying that for parking. This hotel is right across the street from the Georgia Aquarium- which is the number one reason to stay here. This was so close to a 5 star stay except for a few things. The rooms (not the corner suites), but the average rooms, are small. Like -example-for-a-time-share-pitch small! But the rooms were mostly nice- the headboards have got to go- the fake leather, vinal material is worn from the oils from guests hair. This wasn't just in our room- but the kids got one of those corner suites and their headboard was more disgusting than my room. Please- replace those. Next up, I had to step into the shower to turn it on, one glass side is stationary (the side close to the knob to turn the water on. Great big shower- slippery as all FCK- seriously, I noted that the first time and threw a towel down on the floor (a hack from previous hotels with slippery bath floors). It didn't help me when I went to carry my grandson into the shower and ended up doing a split- one leg out of the shower stall and one leg in, a twisted pile of parts and somehow managed to cocoon my grandson and protect him from getting hurt. A week later, the bruises are spectacular. I did let the front desk know, because I asked if they had bath mats for inside the shower. They do not, but noted the room number- 1010. The kids room- 802, did not have as slippery a shower floor. Breakfast- not enough room for everyone! This place is packed and there simply isn't room for everyone to "dine". And coffee was out for 30 minutes at 8:30am. No, no no- you're doing it wrong. I also don't love the valet only- you can't park your car yourself. I prefer to drive when traveling to have access to my car & have jackets, rain gear, baby gear and so easy to get to. Except- if your car is valet parked... no access unless you are retrieving your car. I will say that the valet app is junk, but the valet staff were very nice. Also- since the app doesn't work (it will tell you no one is available to valet and to try again in 10 minutes)- don't bother going to the valet stand unless you have the card. Which John and Connor had on our last day- so giving name and room number did nothing, like they didn't even tell us- we need the card to even look up your car. My daughter and I landed in the garage ahead of the men. Loaded with gear that needed to be packed back into the cars. Traveling with babies... But no retrieval until the men came down with the valet cards. Parking is also mad expensive- but*** if you are going to the aquarium- you pay for parking there too, so you save that, but you pay a premium at the hotel. John just said he's surprised it wasn't a 3 star review. Reason- ladies at the front desk and the one lady working valet! Those women boosted this up a star! read more

Do not stay here if you are in town for business. Sitting up in my room trying to sleep with the club next door pumping the bass. It's literally right outside my window, and they refuse to move me to the other side of the building. Said the music might go until 2am on a Monday night. Offered ear plugs and said they are sold out, even though there are plenty of rooms available online. So much for caring about their Marriott Bonvoy status holders. This hotel was great! When me and my husband had to cancel our VRBO we were able to book this at 8:00pm and check in when we arrived at 8:30pm. The staff was soo nice! Our room was very clean and provided with fresh towels each day. We were right next to the aquarium. Which was just perfect. The bar was very clean and nice. They had games for us to play and relax. We were located near some nice restaurants that were not too far of a walk. The complementary breaking was great each morning. They always had something new so you didn't get bored. I personally liked each thing they served each morning. The valet parking was totally worth the extra money each day for a couple reasons. One because you are going to have to pay for parking anyway so why not make it safe and have someone do it for you? Two you really can't find parking anywhere so to have one less thing to worry about when we arrive back is just great. Third they are very fast and efficient!! I will say the traffic noise in the morning and night is not good. You hear ambulances and car horns and loud vehicles. It's not consistent but it is there. BUT this is not the hotels fault it's just how Atlanta is. I recommend get white noise on your phone and it cancels out the loud traffic. My last complaint is the bathroom door. I hate that it is a sliding door with no lock or any real privacy. Overall I loved this hotel. I would stay here again even though I don't think I want to come to Atlanta. read more

We had a pretty suite with a panoramic view with 5 huge windows looking out onto the city. That was where the quality ended. It was NOT designed by a knowledgeable human. There was insufficient storage, no furniture with drawers for clothing or underwear. No hooks to hang towels or clothing. The microwave had small print and was at a level one had to stoop to operate. The bathroom area was huge but wasted much space, a huge empty wall with no hooks or towel rods to hang anything!! The TV was a small 48", and the sofa was very far from the tiny screen. Tiny bed tables. The fitness room Nautilus was lacking a way to adjust one side of the machine, and other side has no access to certain weights; needs servicing badly. So much potential. It was as poorly designed as any hotel I have ever been in during my 40+ years of traveling. read more

We were in town for a quick stay. Arriving at 7 pm, Zimika at the front desk was a pleasant helpful welcome to SpringHill. We enjoyed having the coffee available to help get the day started. The suite was exceptionally clean and roomy. The bathroom was spotless, but I wish the SpringHill brand provided shower caps and a better bath rug. We didn't partake in the breakfast bar since we always look forward to breakfast at the Atlanta Breakfast Club which was literally 100 feet next door. We will consider a stay here when returning to Atlanta. read more

We loved staying at this hotel for memorial day weekend. It was a clean, cozy, friendly environment that was in very close proximity to everything we wanted to do. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The free breakfast was plentiful. I loved the extra security of valet parking and the front doors being key-card access only. We visited the bar while there too. The drinks were a bit pricey but good and there were plenty of tv's and games to enjoy. When we come back to ATL, we will stay here again. read more

I have been staying at Springhills Suites for many years on countless trips & have always had a pleasant experience. This is the first time I was disappointed with the condition of our room & glad we were only spending one night here. I'll start with the pros: it was located directly across the entrance from the Georgia Aquarium and Coca Cola Museum, which was a super easy walk! The front desk staff was lovely and helpful- the lobby is presentable and the morning breakfast did the job. Cons: No self parking (valet only). The room was not up to my standards on cleanliness. As mentioned in the pictures, the bed rails of our bed was filthy & covered in dust. We used the pullout couch for the kids and when I opened it, it had hair clumps in several spots from whoever used it last. The shower comes equipped with shampoo & body wash bottles - our body wash was 100% empty (which is something that should be checked and refilled before every new check in, right?) I called the desk to ask if they had more & they said only the cleaners have access to that in the morning ...and the shower itself also had some hair strands on the floor that were left behind from the previous family. The headboard (shown in pics) was scratched up and peeling. It was a Monday afternoon when we checked in - and I suppose there should've of been plenty of open rooms that maybe could've been in better conditions than the one that was given to us. (*And no, moving rooms really wasn't an option for us after a 10 hour drive, 2 tired kids and a bunch of bags to carry.) So for over $200/night (including your parked car) - would I say this hotel is worth it ? No, I would say it's not. read more

We stayed at this hotel so we could go to the Peach Bowl. You cannot beat the location. It is within a 1 mile walk to the stadium and right across the street from the World of Coca-Cola, the aquarium and the Civil rights museum. We thought the hotel was just about perfect with a few issues that could be improved upon. There are only two elevators for the entire 12 floor hotel that the housekeeping and the maintenance staff are forced to use as well. Therefore we sometimes would have to wait five minutes before getting into the elevator, especially during check-in, check-out and breakfast times. Also the gym could use a cleaning and maintenance on some of the equipment. The hotel offers complimentary hot breakfast which we always appreciate but the area is so small that it was awkward to get food with so many people milling around. All in all we recommend this hotel and will stay again when in Atlanta. read more

Stayed from January 6th to the 8th. Used their VERY expensive valet service ($50 a night). No damage on my car on the 6th or 7th, when I picked up my car on checkout date (8th), there was a big dent in my front bumper. Contacted their Valet manager and he claimed the damage was there upon arrival (I have a photo of my vehicle to prove otherwise from the date of check in [6th]) he also promised to send me the video surveillance and did not. Hate that I had to report it to corporate but don't damage my vehicle, not tell me, and then lie about it. read more

Checked in online however on arrival our room wasn't available! The front desk rep, I wish I could recall her name because she was AMAZING!! She was very kind and was able to turn what could have been a really negative situation. The rooms we ended up with were very clean and modern. The lighting in the bathroom is wonderful! For some reason there was only one washcloth in the bathroom but we called for more and they arrived within minutes! Same when we realized the remote wasn't working, they brought a new one within minutes. They have a complimentary breakfast buffet that ends at 10am, but for some reason they extended it to 1030am on the day of my visit. On the day of my visit they served waffles, fresh fruit, oatmeal, grits, scrambled eggs, ham, potatoes with sausage, cereal, yogurt and more. Overnight parking is $29 which includes valet. All in all it's a nice hotel for the price point. Would definitely stay here again! read more

Spent 5 nights at this hotel. We found it to be an ideal location for our stay. It is within easy walking distance to the Aquarium, Coca-Cola World, Olympic Park, and many restaurants. The staff were always friendly and helpful, especially Shorda and Shameka in the breakfast area and the nighttime person who always addressed me by my name. We were in Atlanta for a concert at the State Farm Arena and wanted a hotel within walking distance. SpringHill Suites (Atlanta Downtown) is in a great location for that (10-13 minute walk) as well as steps away from Centennial Olympic Park, the Coca-Cola Museum, CNN Center, and many restaurants. For the price, it was hard to beat on location. The woman who checked us in when we arrived was literally one of the friendly and most helpful concierge/hotel staff persons I have ever engaged with. She was funny, kind, and gave us excellent suggestions on food, activities, and directions for walking. The price to park your car here (valet) is $40 a night---somewhat stiff but comparable to downtown rates for this and most cities. Beats shuffling it around to different parking garages in an attempt to save a few bucks. Bed was comfortable with great pillows, good AC, great shower/water pressure, in-room fridge, quiet room other than unavoidable street noise on occasion. Fair price/rate. Good view of the city from the window. No complaints. read more

After having a death in the family resulting in the need to travel to Atlanta for the funeral, I called around to area hotels to see if any of them offered bereavement rates. I was transferred around to so many people and received conflicting reports, which, when compounded with the reason for our visit, was a frustrating experience to say the least. My cousin also called ahead and spoke with someone at the Springhill Suites and let them know there was a small group of us (12 total) traveling into the city at various times due to work schedules from Louisville, Ky. She explained that some of us wouldn't arrive until the wee hours of the morning (we got there after 4 am). At first we received pushback since our arrival time was after 3am which is when they stop check-ins. It was later decided that we could book our room and check in via the app, and just stop by and get our key upon arrival. She then asked if they charge for parking and the rep told her no, at which point she booked her room and we followed suit. It was later discovered that parking was actually $35 a day, which was a bit frustrating to our party since not only did we have to pay for an extra night to be about to check in before we arrived, but we also had to pay for the 2 nights of parking as an unexpected expense. Upon arrival we had some cleanliness issues with the room (there was a ball of hair found in the corner, hair in two out of the three "clean" towels in the room, and a pair of socks that did not belong to any of us. We also didn't have a remote to our TV and couldn't watch TV for most of the first day we were there. The staff was very apologetic for the state of the room and our frustrations about parking, and they did provide us a discount for the inconvenience. We actually decided to extend our stay and stayed an extra night. Our interactions with the valet attendants were always pleasant. We never had a long wait for our car. The front desk staff was very friendly as well, especially Marcus who assisted us with a couple of issues as well as created as a late check-out. We enjoyed the cookies and flavored fruit water in the beautifully decorated lobby and the complimentary breakfast in the morning (which was very filling and well run). The location was also very convenient. I did not detract any stars due to our minor setbacks in the beginning, because in my mind the staff handled it very satisfactorily. The only staff member during the entire visit that we encountered without a smile and friendly attitude was the lady coming around to each room that I presume was the head of housekeeping. I did not get her name but I would advise her to be a little more pleasant to guests and to make sure the rooms are being properly cleaned before others are allowed to check in. With this being a newer hotel, I believe they are having a few growing pains, but they should hit their stride in no time. We would definitely stay here again. read more

Not too bad of a hotel, but apparently you get some jerk offs that think that on a Monday night it's cool to bump music 9 pm until 3 AM and even a bit after? I guess it shows the priorities of some Atlantaites business owners. You can hear EVERYTHING the "nice" third shifter at the front desk told me "well, sir it's a club and you know how it goes" music goes a little later than usual" and we've had only one complaint ( guess int that's me, ) yeah right, but again I ask, on a Monday night? And I mean the club music sounds like karaoke style club music people screaming into a microphone, not even tasteful. ‍ Another reviewer also said cop cars everywhere, no doubt about it... I'd avoid this area if you were smart, I leaned the hard way... business travelers beware on Monday nights... thank god this hotel and sushi club (lol hot garbage) will be a distant memory sooner than later. read more

I know this not truly a five star hotel in the way that the Ritz Carlton or Conrad hotel is but it has everything I need at a price I can well afford with very fine accommodations by my standard in a desirable location. It's located reasonably close to the airport, under 30 minutes drive without traffic. It's directly across the street from the aquarium and additional 5 minutes walk to the Civil Rights Museum and Coca Cola museum. It's also a 15 minutes walk through a safe neighborhood to the professional basketball and football stadiums. As an aside, I had the chance to see the Hawks home opener and it's definitely worth a repeat visit. The lobby is very nice. Cool interactive art near the hotel lobby desk. There is a bar that actually serves top shelf Scotch and Japanese whisky. I arrived on Thursday afternoon a little early for my check in but they allowed me to leave my bags with the valet. It did get congested on Friday evening and I had to wait for the elevator but that was a brief episode. The room was definitely on point. The view was meager but I didn't mind at all. Comfortable bedding and placid environment. Felt rested and the black out curtain worked perfectly. Finally, did I mention that my favorite diner is next door? I hate to put it out there but I have a responsibility to pay it forward for my fellow Yelpers. read more

Front desk lady was super friendly. Breakfast was good. We didn't have an issue with valet parking but I can see how it could be a nightmare with one ramp for both directions of traffic. The room seemed smaller than others we've stayed in but it worked for us. It's perfect location for the Aquarium and that we can keep the car in valet until 2pm so we didn't have to pay for parking twice. The only complaint we had was that several times in the middle of the night it sounded like someone would drop a bowling ball several times in a row and then it wouldn't happen again for a couple hours. I don't know if it was the duct work or if someone was playing with a bowling ball in the room above us throughout the night. read more

Avoid this location if you are human and need sleep at night. Its loud even with windows closed. After a tiring conference at Congress center, its past midnight and there is a night club blasting music (without roof). I called front desk and their response is come down and get earplugs or we can find you another hotel. If you stay at this hotel, dont expect to get sleep unless this club can put a roof! Super nice and cozy place to stay and great tourist places nearby. I'm giving it all 5 stars, the hospitality was great, didn't have to ask for anything. The staff is super friendly and the bar tender knows how to make great drinks.The rooms are spacious and if you luck up you might get a great view. I love the fact they have a mini fridge and microwave in the rooms, reduces the chances of letting food go bad. Super spacious showers in the bathroom was a plus for me. Let's just say i'm in love and will definitely return to this hotel next time i'm in Atlanta, Oh and you must try the restuarant next door ( Atlanta Breakfast Club) you will not be disappointed. Stayed here for a weekend trip this past weekend. The rooms were really nice and spacious and the hotel staff was very accommodating. I loved the breakfast in the morning and the snack area where guests could purchase snacks. It was nice that the rooms have microwaves and refrigerators. The hotel is in a great location, right across from the aquarium! My only con was that the water pressure in the shower was super weak and the shower looked to have a little mold issue. This is the first time I have stayed in the downtown area of Atlanta. If you take the train to Civi Center station you will have a hill to climb and she is a beast. The hotel is about 5 to 6 blocks from the station. There is a homeless shelter about 3 blocks from the hotel, so if you want to avoid it, you just need to cross the street and come up on the aquarium side. The hotel sits in a perfect location right across from the GA aquarium, Coca-Cola musume, and the cival Rights musume. You can walk right across the street and be in front of it all, plus you can walk a little further and be in Olympic park. The front desk staff greet you with souther hospitality and are very welcoming. Ruby checked me in, and it was easy and warm. I later had full conversations with a few staff members, all were super friendly, and "Hotlanta Eats" coming soon.. wink wink. I got to my room, and while it was kinda small and there was a wooden piece that was covering up the wiring under the desk, it was clean and had a direct view of the aquarium. The AC worked great, and my fav part was the pull-down blackout blinds. I had some issues working the master switch because it turned on the light above the bed and I turned it off before I went to bed and plugged in my phone but woke up to a almost dead phone because in order for the power outlets to work the master has to stay on and there is a switch to turn off the overhead bed light. My tv had been unplugged, and I had to plug it in, but to me, all just learning curves. so if your tv doesn't work, check the power and remember to use any outlet the master switch needs to be on at this hotel. Breakfast was pretty good. I had the sandwiches and cerial, but they did not have any fruit. I was told they just didn't get any. I rented some lime bikes and was able to go just about everywhere I wanted Atlanta, which is very bike friendly. Great location, near all of the great attractions of Downtown Atlanta. Across the street is the great Georgia Aquarium. The aquarium is a part of the grand lawn that also has Coca-Cola World. And just across from that is Centennial Park. On the Other side is the College football hall of fame and so much more. They offer complimentary breakfast from 7- 10. The staff was very friendly until about 15 minutes to 10, then they were in just straight get out of my way I need to clean up mode. My wife tried to get hot water and the lady almost took her hand off trying to take the container away. This is a very busy location. Every time I came to the lobby at least 3 people were waiting in line to speak with the front desk associate. They state that there is a city view, but it is not much to be desired. A couple of the buildings light up but even from the 10th floor, you aren't seeing a lot of the city. They also have Valet parking that was $40 per night, I chose not to rent a car for that reason. I don't care if I have 24 access to my car, That price is steep. I would still come back to this location as it was clean and convenient. There was a great lounge across the street called the SUITE lounge and next door was the Atlanta Breakfast Lounge which has some great eats. read more

I should've checked Yelp reviews prior to booking this Marriot, but it's Marriot, it's supposedly great! Covid 19 is merely an excuse for nonsense and mediocrity, wearing a mask does nothing; cleanliness however can do wonders and the cleanliness of the room and common areas was sorely lacking. It was so gross, and if I was going to get sick it would be from the nasty bathroom, floors, bed and dining areas of this hotel. And did I voice this while staying there? Definitely not, everyone knows it will only make everything that much more uncomfortable and awkward. Additionally, I have no faith that management will actually do anything; if you care, you care all the time not just because someone complains about it. And let's talk about location, location was ok... we stayed here on a Saturday night, we worked in ATL on Sunday afternoon. As you walk out at night there is a club, just to the right, that has cars and people lined up all night and there is trash everywhere. During the day, there is a popular breakfast spot and the club is still bumping but it's a restaurant and not a club... I'm actually unsure... I am totally assuming but there is so much congestion in the street, on the sidewalk and there is trash everywhere. There's no super close restaurants, you have to walk a few blocks, which is not a huge deal but did I mention the trash? The streets are full of trash, it's like the 80's prior to the war on trash to clean up the streets. It's really too bad that people treat their city like this. This Marriot is about a 10-15 min walk to the Mercedes stadium and ballparks. $250 is too much to stay in a room for less than 24 hours where the floors are dirty, there is left over grime on the bar area from someone partying, the wall was messed up from other guests partying, the bed I slept in had a terrible stench and I woke up with bug bites on my right leg and the bathroom was disgusting. I wore my flip flops in the shower. I have reservations to try out the Hilton next month I'm in ATL. read more

We stayed at this SpringHill Suites August 31st - September 4th for Dragoncon weekend and had a great time. Check in with Allison was quick and easy, and since we didn't need a pullout sofa, she upgraded us to a room on the 12th floor, which had great views! We didn't have any issues with the club that others have mentioned keeping us awake (it's a club and restaurant if you're looking on Google). The room was definitely smaller than other hotels, and there's not much privacy for the bathroom, but for us, those were such minor things I didn't want to take off a star for. The absolute best thing was the gentleman who was cleaning the 12th floor rooms during checkout on the 4th. I left artwork that I'd purchased either in our room or by the elevator and didn't notice for almost 20 minutes while we were waiting for the valet. When I did realize it wasn't with our stuff, I panicked and went back upstairs where I saw him cleaning another room and asked if he'd seen it. He did find my art and had it locked safely in the storage room on that floor! I didn't get his name, but thank you again for saving my things! I would absolutely recommend this SpringHill Suites location, and we might stay again next Dragoncon :) read more

We recently stayed at Springhill. My daughter was swimming with the whales at Georgia aquarium. Excellent location. Parking is VERY limited. They charge 40$ for valet, which is all they could offer. Let me tell you the gentleman that does that job is a magical. The area he had to "jockey" the cars was tight! But he did a wonderful job. The hotel was very clean and had pretty decor. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Could use more pillows but two doubles/queens were very nice. Pull out sofa worked wonderful. We had a decent view of the city. Bathroom was perfect. Nice big shower. Had shampoo, conditioner and body wash in shower. I felt the shampoo was watered down but served a purpose. While someone taking a shower the bathroom mirror didn't dog. Unless you took a steaming bath. Nice sliding door on the bathroom entrance. Nice lighting. Bedside reading light. Plenty of plugs. Decent tv. Great morning breakfast. Many choices. Good coffee. Plenty of sitting. Would go back but pricey. The convenance of being right next to Aquarium is perfect but parking is tough. read more

I had a very bad experience at this hotel, I drove in their garage and wanted to quickly drop off my family for registration, my wife was holding our baby and I was going to take our luggage to the lobby, there was no one to help, and the valet said that I either hand the keys or that I would get a ticket immediately. Really? Let a stranger drive my car in a Pandemic situation? That was outrageous. Much worse was the valet attitude. This was definitely the worst experience I have ever had in any hotel. Zero care for Health, and zero hospitality. read more
