The equipment is clean and in good repair and whether my 2.5yr old son is there or my 8 year old nephew - there is something for both of them! Peppered around the room are numerous coin slot type rides (which generally the kids play on without them moving!), some fake tattoo machines, bouncy ball machines and a teddy grabber. All extra expense but I've heard a thousand times Mums & Dads tell their little ones that it's broken Darling so most of us get away with not handing over the pennies! The food is impressive - everything from chips and chicken nuggets, veggie chilli and rice, hot panini's fish fingers - HUGE baguettes, salads, home made soups and a large choice of drinks, icecreams and sweet cakes etc. They do have some gluten free items available too. The food is somewhat on the pricey side but of a high quality and very decent portions. There are three toilets, one being a disabled / baby changing room and these are kept clean and tidy. Funky Farm also caters for themed parties and although I've never attended one I have been there when they have been on and they seem well organised and a lot of fun! Opening times are 10am - 6pm Tuesday - Sunday. There is plenty of private parking for patrons.

Your eating time is included in the time you're limited to so you can't have a nice relaxed meal as the kids want to be off and play and you're concious of the time you're taking away from their play. The facilities themselves are good and the kids always have a good time. Probably not worth it for crawling kids. I have very active toddler and he still has problems with accessing some of the equipment for under 5s.

This is one of the biggest play Centres i been to and it can be quite easy to get lost in it. It ranges from rope walls, rope bridges, sponges bridges, to slides (3 in total with one being a near vertical drop which even made me a little apprehensive to go on). Go Karts (£1 a go). The location and the stuff on the menu does kinda show you who the clientele is lets just say not many play centres i go to have Iced Mocha Choca on the drinks menu. Also we got there pretty early but when we left mid afternoon the car park looked like a Range Rover forecourt. But don't let this despair you as the price was still very reasonable and the menu was very reasonable. There was also a big area for toddlers but we didn't venture on to that. Will defo go back

Tired of the typical bowling alley/ laser quest combos for kids, I had done laser games many many times before (remember £7 unlimited laser and bowling back in the 90's?), but had never played it outdoors. After speaking to Nick the event organiser, I was assured this wasn't just for children, and promptly booked for 20 adults in middle of February. Obviously a bit weary of potential bad weather, Nick told me he had never cancelled a party due to the weather before. The lead up was very well done. You have ample time to pay your deposit, and are given access to the members area where you can enter the names of the children (or adults), and read health and safety information in preparation for the day. Easy to find, it is situated at Parrs Wood Highschool behind the Entertainment Complex. In 90 minutes we played 6 games, using realistic guns with optical scopes. The marshalls were helpful and the games were varied and very entertaining. The weather did hold out in the end, but don't not be afraid to get muddy as you can shower and change in the school gym afterwards. As always, never wear your best clothes to these events! Several of my friends had never done this before, and including myself would gladly do this again! One gripe which came from this- the equipment could do with a makeover, but much better than the indoors stuff.

It is great to take the children for a couple of hours to run about and let of some steam. It only cost £3.75 for admission and under ones go free. They have ample car parking spaces and also there is a cafe inside so the adult can relax with a coffee and a bite to eat while the children play. There is an excellent indoor play area, some outdoor play areas with go karts and ride on trikes..., and of course a huge selection of farm animals for your little ones to learn about. There is a cafe serving lunches and refreshments, and a party area upstairs. It cost us £24 for two adults and my three year old to access the playbarn and go on the farm tour, and my one year old went free. You can pay less just to access the playbarn, without going on the farm tour. This seems to be a great spot for parent and toddler meet ups. The farm tour was really excellent - lasting around an hour, with the opportunity to hold/pet mice, rats, Guinea pigs, and hedgehogs in the indoor small animal section. We then moved outside and saw goats, llama, pigs, donkeys, Shetland Ponies, sheep, chickens and ducks. There was lots of opportunities for the little ones to interact with the animals such as brushing the pig, sitting on the Shetland pony and feeding the hungry lambs. We all had a great day out at Big Sheep Little Cow and my three year old in particular got to try out new things through interacting with the farm animals. Special mention to all the lovely staff we came across - everyone was so friendly, and we all left smiling!

You can also pay a little more and use their indoor play barn (adults can go on the equipment too!) with a death slide etc. They have a decent cafe and at peak times the tractor ride and go-karts are open. A great day out - or party destination. Dry or wet weather.
