Great selection and friendly staff. This is my go to place for Beer and malt liquor beverages. Parking can be a challenge, but there are 20 minute loading zone spots in front of the building on Washington so if you know what you want you can run in and grab it and go. If you want to shop a little longer you can find free 2-hour street parking on Ellsworth which is a block south of Washington. read more

Walked over here tonight because we were low on beer at home and we heard this place had a warehouse cat. This place is huge! We wandered around and realized there was some method to the madness -- there was a seltzer section to the right as you walk in, a cold section near the cashier, soda section in the back, etc. We saw a 12-pack of Yuengling Oktoberfest bottles that caught our eye, but didn't want to commit to that many beers in case we didn't like it so we kept looking for a 6-pack. And then we saw the cat! It's an old kitty with no teefers we thought. He climbed down from on top of some beers and went over to my husband, who happily pet him. Then the cat climbed up on some new beers and lo and behold -- there was a random 6-pack of Yuengling Oktoberfest right there! The cat is our beer spirit guide. We didn't particularly LOVE the Yuengling Oktoberfest though, but I mean the cat led us to what we wanted. Now we just have to get the cat to show us to what we NEED. One star docked because as with all beer distributors in the city, it just feels expensive. But that's all! We'll probably be back. read more

The IPA selection is extensive with some really excellent local brews represented. Cool, laid back with friendly service. Vast selection of bottled water from Poland Spring to exotic mineral water and the prices are very reasonable. It just an all around great place. read more

Massive selection and fairly easily accessible by car. I would recommend taking a look at the boxes or cans to see if there is a sell by date if applicable as some of the products may not turn over as quickly and may be overlooked. read more

A warehouse of treasures. So this place serves what it promises - libations galore, in a no frills warehouse stacked with varieties of beer (from micro and craft breweries to your national brands). There's also decent options of cider - heyoooo! The prices are great and the employees are solid workers. They know the inventory well and where the products lie within their aisles. I didn't have to look long to find what I was looking for, and I liked that they stored everything in a cool environment! The parking situation was great for street parking - easy to find and close to the site. The place also has kegs available so it can definitely be a place to go to make sure your party is on point! My go to for beer in Philly. The place is massive and there are tons of options at pretty good prices for Philly. Lots and lots of craft beer options too, I've been able to easily grab a few limited releases here. By far the best spot for stocking up on some beer (and seltzer) in the city. This is my happy place to go to during the pandemic. Firstly, because of the wide aisles that make it easy to stay 6 feet away. Secondly, so so many beers. And, they don't mind when I bring my doggy or a stroller. They even have a huge selection of seltzer and a decent amount of non alcoholic beers. Beer, beer, and MORE BEER! This place has it all! I think I saw every type of light beer here and a great selection of local and regional craft beer! Aside from the great selection they have amazingly low prices too; they could be considered the Costco of beer. I bought a 30 pack of National Bohemian for $19 including tax, that's only 0.63 cents per beer! That is easily 0.30 cents less per beer than I could find anywhere else. They have this really funny cat walking around the store too, I think it is their guard cat (see my pictures) and she is friendly. I would be surprised if you could find a beer store with more selection and lower prices anywhere on the east coast. read more

I'm a big fan of this place. I called them initially because I've recently purchase a kegerator (wee) and I wanted a place that I could get sixtels from. The phone call was very simple because they listened to me and gave me prices. I didn't have a hassle as with some other distributors and anything they didn't stock they were happy to look into ordering for me. The price was good and the keg was ready when I got there. Super simple and I will definitely be ordering from them again. read more

I have been going to this place for about a year now out of convenience. But I guess today I truly realized how much they markup their prices. I bought 2, 12-packs of crispin cider and my total was $49.63. As I walked out, I thought he must have charged me incorrectly. I checked the prices online for the same 12 pack and found it to be $16.99 everywhere. I then call the distributor to verify the price per 12-pack, and he confirmed $26.99 per 12 pack but her charged me $45.99 for a case since I got 2. Highway robbery! I liked the old Springfield beer distributor better - only because of the building. They've since moved, buy this place gets the job done nonetheless. Huge beer selection and pretty close by. No complaints, 5 stars from me. Also gives me a reason to grab some sweets at Kermit's, which is right next door. read more

Great local beer distributor. They have a wide variety and are very nice and helpful there. I recently got a keg from here. The ordering process was super easy and they gave all the prices of different beers to me. They even asked if I needed it delivered for $10 extra. This was a huge perk being in the city! (I think they only do that if you are close enough). The man that came and brought the keg was super helpful and tapped it for me. They showed up right at the time I asked. The returning process was easy as well. I just dropped it off and got my rental money back. I would recommend this place! I will definitely be getting more kegs from here in the future. read more

This lager gal loves wheeling a granny cart to SBD to pick up a case of Yuengling Lager. It's fun to roam the aisles, jam-packed with beer and soda, where it's hard to resist a twelve-pack of San Pellegrino Limonata plus some G&T friendly tonic water. read more

Went here for the first time and I'm disappointed I haven't checked it out sooner since I live down the road! Selection is awesome, so much to choose from! Their selection is unbeatable and prices are reasonable... Not Jersey-cheap, and not quite as cheap as Cicione at 20th & Moore (cases are a few bucks cheaper there from what I noticed), but the selection more than makes up for it - they had Yards Pynk, a seasonal sour that I love & no one else had it! They had a good selection of cases, including more variety packs than you see in most stores. We were able to pick up some small-batch Japanese beers as well as regional craft brews, and the prices were pretty good. Despite their barebones aesthetic, Springfield has fantastic prices (keep an eye for great deals on close-out stuff) and a fairly deep selection, from Narragansett to artisanal bombers. I was very pleased when they recently added refrigerated cases, and now they have a wide selection of chilled 12-packs of cans and bottles. The scuzzy, friendly cat is icing on the cake. Great selection if you don't mind waiting 2 plus hours for delivery- ( Springfield is only 5 minutes away) This has happened more than once- . A friend who was here said he would go and pick the beer a hour after dinner was delivered- he went to Society Hill Beverage by mistake and was back and still no delivery from Springfield - I called Springfield to cancel and was told it was " on the way" and should be here in 30-45 minutes- keep in mind they are less than 10 blocks from my house - I said never mind - cancel the order - they called back and said they could be here in less than 5 minutes - I told them not to bother- I won't be calling them again. read more
