Great middle school in Rocklin. The staff is great to work with and the teachers that my child has had have all been fantastic!

i am a legal guardian of two students who recently graduated from this school, these two students…read moresaid that the yearbook club is very selfish. there was a section in the yearbook for students who have traveled over the summer and these two students travel to multiple countries over the summer and they never got featured in the yearbook but students who travel six hours away in the same state did get a spot in the yearbook. These two students are also citizens in two different countries other than the United States of America and they did not get nominated for most likely to travel the world they also did not feature a section specifically for people who are not citizens of this country. the yearbook club is very closed minded when it came to international students they only featured students who have traveled countries for vacation over summer break but there were almost little to none students who actually got featured in the yearbook who are citizens of multiple countries. I personally find it a bit wrong to not feature these people and take the time to know abt their special stories. The students bought a yearbook only to not be featured at all in the sections that they were almost guaranteed to win. another thing that I find wrong about the school, is specific teachers way of teaching. I also know of many students that have complained about a specific teachers way of teaching, as he or she mainly talked them through showing a sheet of notes. However, nobody took action in the complaints and as a result of this lots of students failed this class. I think this should be an example that some teaching at the school should be more hands-on than it is at the moment.

I loved all my teachers, shout out to Mr. Hicks. The moms are terrible at driving, so watch out in the parking lot. Also, this school kinda has a gossip problem; the moms even gossip about the kids, and the kids also gossip a lot. The Bayside blaster will always be amazing. I still crave it. The main church's theology was kinda interesting, a little evangelical. Also, the school makes you pledge to the bible, the Christian flag, and the American flag, which felt like it bordered on Christian nationalism since you do them all in order, but do with that as you will. The visual arts are kinda lackluster, and sports are very favored at that school. To be fair, a lot can change in nearly 3 years; this is just my experience. I was also a bit of a menace at this school. The Bathroom parties were exquisite.

The nurse however, was a bit strange in my opinion but besides her, this is a five star rated school! I have high hopes of my child return to GB high school his graduating year 2025! I attended the school about 18 years ago and boy or boy did I love it. Now just like your favorite…read morehidden coffee shop or sandwich shop - 'if you know you know' and that's probably why the school is so great - because there aren't tons of kids from outside areas trying to sneak in and instead it stays "local" and enjoyable with the same group of kids that reflects the benefits of a society focused on morals and integrity. Sure there's always a few of "those kids" with extra means and the fancy cars given to them by parents with no quality time to spend but the same can be found at any school the only difference here is that those kids tend not to cause trouble but rather are more interested in a "good time" and after all who isn't. Besides if you have integrity you won't be persuaded regardless of what school you attend. Thank your parents for that. Enough about all that, what's important is the positive attitude found with the staff and overall with the students. More so than most schools nearby. Front desk here is helpful , upper staff is helpful and kind. I came from another school to here at my junior year and I was very impressed with the abilities of the teachers to teach outside the standard outlines and expand our attention ie home Eco / fish and wildlife / English with siturude / video production!!! My favorite - all made you appreciate being in a seemingly top tier school. So I'd give this school experience an A+ coming from a shy kid to start and ending as a confident student at the end. Happy to take on the world. Ps if you're a parent of a kid like the review below mine - maybe stop having a victim mentality so your kids don't go around being a 1 star kind of person everywhere they go aka modern woke society - go woke go broke. Happy I didn't have that going on in my household growing up.

I think this overall school gets a bad wrap because of its location and age, but for me that character is what makes it unique. I honestly feel that this school is very kid/family oriented and I know several parents from other schools feel the same way. Just as an example sporting events and pretty much all but especially football and basketball you will find pretty much a packed house. In a lot of cases their kids don't even play the sport, but it's much more about supporting the event or a friend/family playing. I know this happens at other schools as well but nothing that I have felt. Another example is how many people travel all over the surrounding areas to attend these same sporting events. I have been at an away game where RHS has more people attending than the opponent. That to me shows awesome school spirit, support and Tiger Pride! Everyone always asks me about this school and what it's like and again because of its wrap. I always have the same answer. It's what you put into it. All of my kids have excelled from here with one just graduating Sac State and another still attending. All of them have gotten involved in various activities like soccer, cheer, Avid and yearbook. This is the key to me to your success not only here but in life. You have to add value and not just be a taker. At some point when you just take eventually the tank runs out and you blame other things or circumstances and not the person in the mirror. Last point...have every single teacher been 100% and do I agree with everything about their teaching methods? No and again this is also a part of life. You are not going to see eye to eye with everyone, but overall for the most part everyone working here is committed to your kids and the school counselors are terrific. So I can say for my kids and myself "Once a Tiger always a Tiger"....
