My wife lives in the second-floor Haven - advanced Alzheimer's - community. We have yet to meet a staff member who is not competent and courteous and caring. My wife has reached the point where she has become wheelchair bound. The staff quickly assembled the chair I bought for her. There were difficulties in doing so, but they persisted instead of letting responsibility fall back on me. I greatly appreciate what they did. I am not the least bit mechanically inclined; I have trouble setting my watch. More importantly, they trained her in wheelchair use and safety, always patient, encouraging, and friendly. In my own case, I was recently informed that a room will become available in early April that will be substantially less expensive than the one I now occupy, and I will move into it then. My point is that the Kensington realizes how expensive memory care and assisted living can be and strives to ease the financial burden on its residents whenever the opportunity presents itself. I am also compelled to mention the first-class medical monitoring and care that followed my return to the Kensington after two weeks in the hospital recovering from colon cancer surgery. The Kensington's quality is self-evident. I regularly meet new residents whose families had originally placed them in a different local facility and then later decided to move them here. If you have a loved one who needs residential care, I cannot strongly enough recommend the Kensington. Gary Hartzell

It is so beautiful and high-quality in what it offers in terms of restaurant options, beautiful gardens, lovely rooms with high ceilings, impeccable furnishings, and cleanliness. And the people are so attentive and kind that I'm assuming the care is excellent. Tiffany was kind enough to give us two full tours, and the second time sent me off with a sweet bottle of wine. In appearance and ambience, it compares to a five star hotel, which provides live music, art classes and a small library, to boot! If it does ever happen that one of us needs extended care, this place would be our top choice.

The agreement, scope, and pricing were clearly discussed and approved in advance. Unfortunately, before final payment was completed, the Director who hired me was let go. Since then, new management has refused to honor the original agreement in full. Despite providing documentation, proof of approval, and fulfillment of the work exactly as requested, I was only partially paid and am still owed $1,400. It's disappointing to complete a high-level, time-intensive project in good faith--especially for a major event--and then have a company refuse to take responsibility for the commitments made by their own leadership. This isn't just about payment--it's about integrity. Vendors should be able to trust that businesses will honor their agreements, regardless of internal staffing changes. I would strongly caution other artists and vendors to ensure full payment upfront before working with this organization.

This stuff you can see for yourself if you visit but I wanted to comment on the staff. All the staff at Cogir have been geniunely fantastic but I wanted to give a mention to Priscila Sellers. My mom was just starting the process of moving in and we hadn't even signed the paperwork, when she ended up falling and going to the hospital. Due to the situation, she was released directly to Cogir. Priscila was really a rockstar, everything was taken care of. She busted her butt to get movers the next day, elevated care taking that night, and even arranged for my mom to stay in a guest suite while we worked on moving her stuff. I'm sure she was doing other stuff I'm not even aware of. She is really hard working and very good at her job. Thank you to everyone at Cogir! I feel my mom is in good hands.

And they have no common sense. The house keeper[Marites] and one of her friend from the office who is in charge with the activity made up a story about me and these morons are actually the one who had the problems. No wonder why they have low and poor ratings. They had a covid outbreak from feb 10, 2024 and I was called to help but they don't have enough supply to work with. They don't know the protocol and they don't know how to conduct theirselves. I brought that up several times to Carmen both orally and through text and no action was being taken. Also a female resident from the first floor who had covid wandered around outside her room and she laid down on the floor and no action was taken. but instead my schedule was cancelled because I spoke up about these things and don't play their games. Some of the staff themselves are client materials and very niglectful.

But I truly had a terrific experience with Jennifer and the staff. Someone gave me some advice about choosing a place. Look at the residents. Do they seem cared for, content. Ultimately, we have to move on from Peninsula Pointe because the distance from our home and they want us near. Their price point was also surprisingly lower than other places we've been to. I didn't want to rush the decision and I was waiting for that feeling of certainty that we'd found the place. I'm so glad that Peninsula Point was on my list! From the start, Jennifer from the marketing department made the experience exceptional. She was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping us understand what life at Peninsula Point, and assisted living in general, would look like. Her kindness and transparency immediately put me at ease. I also had the chance to meet Julius, the Executive Director, and he was equally amazing. He took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly and honestly, and even shared his personal cell number so I could reach out anytime as I navigated the process. That level of accessibility and care is rare, and it meant a lot to me. It feels great knowing that Peninsula Point is the right place for my parents, and the best part is, they feel the same way. We're all excited for their move-in date, and I feel confident knowing they'll be in such a supportive, well-run community. Highly recommend Peninsula Point to anyone searching for a truly exceptional assisted living facility!
