I brought my gracing puppy to get her ears done and they did an amazing job. Also had to get eye surgery on her. Horrible customer service. Karen, who sits at the front desk is so rude, all the time. This morning, I attempted to bring my dog in for an allergy shot that he receives monthly. to schedule this appointment, we usually call and they let me bring him in the same day, as the shot is given in the lobby most times, because my dog doesn't do well at the vet for long. today, this visit is all of a sudden considered an emergency visit, which will be an additional $85. while trying to get clarification, Karen talked over me, arguing with me and giving a horrible attitude. we will be taking our dog elsewhere because of this. the doctors and techs here are amazing, and very patient and understanding with my dog. just a shame your front desk personnel does the opposite of helping families and their pets who are in need. read more

I'm super disappointed with this office, I am a Doberman breeder of 12 years... and I was looking for an office to send my personal clients to for ear cropping. This is the second time this office has sent my clients into a frenzy because of how "cautious they are" I quote that because everything they do is basically a scare tactic. I get being cautious, but this office is WAY over the top. This office refused a crop on one of our Doberman puppies that comes from clear/clear parents, the doctor did bloodwork on a patient whom had a higher white blood cell count, antibiotics were given which was amoxicillin based which causes a decrease in platelet function during and directly after treatment. They just previously did a crop on a littermate male from the same parents not even a few weeks ago! Not only that, but to even speak with this doctor you have to "book a consultation" and pay. Why do I need to pay you to speak with you? That's absolutely ridiculous. I do not recommend this place for ear cropping, and we will be going straight back to doctor Mendez at quality care in Miramar FL! He's the best in Florida! This office needs to stop fear mongering Doberman patients, VWD clinically affected is very rare... this office clearly needs to learn the difference between clinically affected, genetically affected, and a carrier.. which this puppy is none of the above! The receptionist is rude as hell as well, and the office is run down. I had high hopes for this place but paying high dollar for mediocre crops and extremely poor customer service has hindered me from ever recommending this place for a crop. read more

Dr. Goebel is a real pro and cares about animals. Our cat is not friendly and I was concerned about how she might be in the office but she was no problem at all. The staff was also great but I was wary of his male assistant; I'm just not sure how hard he was squeezing her by the fur when she didn't put up any struggle. read more

My family and I had a Scottie for 16 years, with 15 of those years seeing Dr. Goebel. Both he and his staff his always been beyond wonderful, treating all patients (and their people) like family. I certainly credit them for the longevity of my beloved (but now, sadly, late) canine sister. She received the best care available through Spring Run Veterinary Hospital. No dog or cat likes to go to the vet after that initial temperature check with a thermometer. But despite that, Dr. Goebel is most likely one of the kindest vets I've ever met. His voice is always calm, soothing and slightly hushed, his actions gentle. You can tell that he truly loves all animals, and treats them as if they were his own. In fact, you may meet some of his own as they often times come with him to work, playing in the fenced-in back yard, puddling around near reception, and occasionally coming out to greet visitors. During her active and happy life, Dr. Goebel never prescribed any medication unless it was absolutely necessary . There was no need to complicate things, risk side effects, and spend more money than was absolutely necessary. In a time when it's common for just about anyone to want to try and line their wallets with extra, this is a breath of fresh air. Upon the unfortunate event of our Scotia developing diabetes in the last year and a half of her life, Dr. Gobel gave us great advice, lots of hope and encouragement, and immediately put her on a prescription diet and insulin. I did a lot of research on my own, and was relieved that Dr. Goebel was comfortable with my level of involvement to find a way to regulate her blood glucose levels. I understand that it's best to have a certain level of involvement, but to remember that, ultimately, the vet is the expert. At the same time, I was also happy that ego never got in the way to discourage that involvement, asking questions, etc. (as it would in cases with other vets elsewhere from my experience) It's obvious he wants people to take an active interest in their pet's health, as which they should. In the last few months of her life, our Scotia developed a cancerous tumor, which ultimately led to the decision of having to put her down. This is never, ever an easy decision for any pet's family, and I had always prayed I would never have to make that call. Dr. Gobel went above and beyond speaking with colleagues and specialists in this particular area to give and discuss any realistic, alternate options. In the end, we knew that with trouble eating, breathing, and staying balanced on all four legs, we could not allow her to suffer any longer. Dr. Goebel and his staff displayed such kindness and heartfelt care in not just her final moments, but throughout her entire life. Her excellent quality health care at Spring Run helped her to live a very long and happy 16 years with us. I am, and always will be, eternally grateful for that. Yes, a veterinary hospital may be a business, but at Spring Run, they treat you - and your pet - like family. read more

Been going here with our little Doxie close to 5 years now. They have a great staff who treat our pet like family. Last visit, we got our pup chip'd in case he ever gets lost. The procedure literally took minutes and only cost around 45 bucks (not including activation fees). If your dog or cat needs their teeth cleanes, they run specials in the Spring and Fall. It's a little house of an establishment, so it feels quiant, not like a sterile office building. Really reccomend this vet clinic to anyone in the Altamonte Springs area. read more

Amazing service, very friendly and helpful. We were in town visiting a friend with our 2 labs and we had forgotten their medication. We only needed 2 pills, they gave them to us, NO CHARGE! We had our vet in Miami fax the prescription and the vet and his staff made it so easy and then didnt charge! We called another vet first and they said NO you have to have an exam with our vet. If we lived in the area we would be going to Spring Run. read more

Dr. Goebel truly cares about his patients and accomodates all requests for labs, radiographs, etc, as long as he feels they are warrented. For example, I often like to have yearly labs (CMP and CBC) done for our companion animals, and I sometimes request them more often if there is any change in behavior, clinical signs of illness, etc. Dr. Goebel always accomodates my wishes. I have even requested more specific tests (free T4 ), and as long as the clinical signs/symptoms fit the labs I'm requesting, Dr. Goebel accomodates my requests. (our companion animal for whom I requested the free T4, did, indeed, have a result indicative of hyperthyroidism, and she is now being treated for same) Dr. Goebel explains everything in great detail, answers any and all questions that I have in great detail, and I feel SO very fortunate to have him taking care of our girls. He has often said that pet parents are the best advocates for their companions as they are the first to notice subtle signs of illness or emergent condition. Dr. Goebel always takes your concerns about your companions seriously, is easy to talk to, and is not offended if you do research or ask questions. This is the mark of an excellent doctor....and I have found that this is true both in "human" medicine and veterinary medicine as well. Those doctors/veterinarians who are loathe to answer questions and are offended by well informed patients/clients, in my opinion, are the most inept at diagnosing and at recognizing the clinical signs that precede an emergent/ life threatening situation. In an era when it is growing increasingly difficult to trust, this vet is beyond reproach. His staff is wonderful as well, and it is very evident that each person in his employ truly loves animals. For example, they are always taking in homeless animals that are dropped off or found. They have a blind and deaf cat now as well as a tiny kitten who was dropped off at the home of one of the techs, both of which they are trying to find loving homes. I highly recommend Dr. Goebel. and his wonderful staff. It is clear that he is in his profession for the right reasons, and that he takes his responsibilities seriously. We have been bringing our two dogs to Dr. Goebel and his wonderful staff for a few years now. Dr. Goebel is as nice and caring as they come. His treatment of animals is really second to none. I've had my dogs here for anything from checkups and nail trimmings to a serious surgery. They've handled it all and have done a wonderful job. Dr. Goebl is amazing (when he IS there). Unfortunately he has had health issues in the last few years and doesn't go in as much. I saw the other two vets and wasn't impressed AT ALL. With that said, his staff is a completely different story. A few of them have no idea what they are doing while a couple of others have really bad attitudes, no patience to explain things etc. With no hesitation, the "office manager" will chase you to your car and confront you regarding previous bills with a very nasty attitude. They may seem nice at first (when you are a new patient, but eventually that goes out the window. It's pretty obvious that the staff has lost most of its patience with the public. I feel very bad for Dr. Goebl, I don't even think he realizes what's going on in his office. read more

He and his staff have always taken the time to help me thoroughly and always find the best course of action for treatment of my dogs. My 2 sharpei's are not easy , becoming particularly difficult when they get in the vet environment. His staff- ie Beth and Michelle most particularly are professional ,kind and thorough. We have been taking our 2 fur babies to Dr Goebel for quite a few yrs now. I can say without a doubt had it not been for him we would have lost one of our girls and in turn he has allowed us to have more time with her. He saved her life and saying thank you has never seemed like enough for all he and his staff have done for us. And our other baby has so many skin issues and health issues he's been so helpful in treating.You can tell he has a true love for animals and his kindness and compassion show. He is not one to rush through your appointment and will take the time to talk to you and listen to your concerns he always keeps in mind the cost of things and doesn't prescribe unnecessary things. As a word of advise do not is this vet. Dr. G isn't there much and the staff is not attentive. I took my very very sick dog to this place twice. The first time they ran all types of test, with no real diagnosis, the second time I basically carried my dog into the office, and again they took blood and said we'll run test and get back to you by 9 the next morning. Mind u my dog was not eating or drinking st this point. The doctor told us do not give him any meds because we don't wanna make this worse. Next morning came and gone no phone call. I called around 10am the women who answered said the doctor didn't have time to look at it??? What? She said if he doesn't call by 2 call us back.... again what??? At 2:15 I called very very upset because they were well aware of the condition of my dog and I haven't received a call. The doctor final gets on the phone and when I asked why and how come nobody called knowing how sick my dog was, his response was "I don't know what to tell you".... If I could have punched this ass through the phone I would have, but wait there is more. Then this "doctor" begins to read the same test they ran the month earlier. He read the same diagnosis!!!!! They took more blood and ran the same test!!!!!!!! So guess what after another $300 bill they gave me the same diagnosis, and couldn't tell me how to treat my dog at this point...the dog isn't able to walk, hasn't eaten, won't drink and this so called "doctor" isn't able to tell me what to do... just telling you please for your pets health and well being this is the last place to take your pet... dr g is basically half retired and the rest of his staff is also... read more
