The Park is located at the far eastern end of Harrison, with Harrison Lake access and views on one side, and apartments lining the other side. Walking access to the Park is via a small entranceway at the end of Esplanade Avenue, or another entranceway at the opposite end of the Park, off Rockwell Drive. The Park is a day use area, with a number of picnic tables, and an area of the Lake is 'fenced off' (w/floats) for swimming. The walk though, and around provided our first up-close look at this area of Harrison since the nearby cottage/cabin type hotel had been removed, and other apartments, and such built on nearby properties. For us, it was good to see the park area had been spared from any further construction, and left as a park.

It can be busy because it's hyped up so best to go on a weekday. The metal slide is pretty fast and not suitable for little ones in the rain.

A beautiful area in Harrison Hot Springs located at and about the confluence of Harrison Lake and…read moreMiami River. It is an area we walk to, about and through, on usually every day, of every one of our Harrison stays. And this recent 4-night stay in Harrison was no exception. A stop there first, to absorb the wonderful sights and sounds in the immediate area (under the various seasons and weather conditions), and then further west along Harrison Lake (to the hot spring source) and/or into the forested trail of Miami River. In the early-morning hours especially, these walks for us are wonderful, natural treats to the senses, and such great ways to 'truly awake and join each day' of our stays. Our recent trip provided a late-spring stay and look at the area. Wow! the weather for our stay was fresh, clear, and warm, and enabled seeing some beautiful sights and sounds.

There were three boys from a family who decided to walk off path and waited for them to correct their behavior. When they didn't I told them to get back on the trail- don't be one of those humans who thinks nature is there just for them. Leave it better than you found it!

Daughter and I walked this forested trail after breakfast each morning of our recent, early-March…read morestay at the Harrison Resort. The trail runs near / alongside the Miami River, by, and across from the Resort's property. It is very easily accessible at upstream and downstream ends of the trail, with entrances / exits -- upstream via a small, walking bridge over the River, at the far end of the Resort's parking lot -- downstream via a small, opening to the path located near the Miami River 'dike pump replacement building' near the Lake. It is a fine example of a west coast rainforest, and for our walks on the trail (and adjacent areas alongside the Lake, and to the source of the hot spring water) during this stay, it truly lived up to its name -- our early-morning walks were conducted via some rather heavy rain showers!! But once inside the forest, and on the trail, it was lovely, and so naturally quiet and peaceful - any wet stuff falling from above, was soon ignored, and became an integral part of the wonderful scenery. Two new-to-me sights observed during our walks this time -- a park sign (Qwolts Park. Harrison Hot Springs) erected just off the walkway / road near the downstream end of the Miami River, and two photo posters (The Sts'ailes People and The Sa:sq'ets), placed on the wall of the downstream end of the dike replacement building (on each side of the Sasquatch sculpture). As usual, the 'Miami River Bridges Trail Walk' offered a fun, lovely, and easily-walkable forested trail for us to enjoy a walk each morning. An early breakfast, followed by a walk in a close by wonderful piece of forest ecosystem -- hard to beat!!

A pleasant little park in a tiny Pacific Northwest city. Took my daughter here during some downtime…read morerecently and was pleasantly surprised by how well-kept and overall safe the playground was. She's almost 3 but absolutely loved the "big kids" portion of the playground - so much to explore and scamper upon. The little kids playground is a bit lackluster and blasé. The playgrounds have a small fence running around the perimeter so that kids don't wander off too easily. Nearby walking paths, a large bridge, relatively clean and functional bathrooms, a large gravel parking lot, and of course a small forest complete the park. FYI the big kids' playground has a bizarrely slippery and sleek steep bridge on it - would consider refiguring or resurfacing this bridge. There were also a decent amount of cigarette butts on the edge of the parking lot.

Other reviews suggest bringing a flashlight, which we did, but it really wasn't all that necessary. There were 4 distinct tunnels through which to walk; one was very short. Only one was long enough to make the darkness of the tunnel feel a bit spooky. But the feeling passed as we continued walking. There's a large parking lot, with more than enough free parking for when we arrived on Thursday around noon. There are 4 toilets just adjacent to the parking lots, which is great because the location of the park is a bit remote. Would definitely recommend everyone making a trip!

There are three trails options within the park, all are probably no more than a mile and lead to neighborhoods. However its is a nice place to enjoy a lil walk through the woods, and possibly see some wildlife. The park has a few benches along the trail and a few picnic tables as well. Its a nice place to enjoy nature without actually leaving the city.
