I rarely post reviews but today was strange to say the least. As posted everywhere Spring Lake Jewelers advertises a 4 o'clock closure on Sundays. I stopped there today (Sunday) at 3:30 to look for a Xmas gift for my wife. As I approached the entrance I noticed the front window displays were empty. There were customers and employees inside. I tried to open the door but it was already locked. They opened the door for me but as I approached the interior displays the employees began to empty those as well, I continued to try to look at what was left but the employees just kept removing everything from the cases. I couldn't believe it! It was like I wasn't even there. Xmas season they're removing everything a 1/2 hour before the advertised closing time! I found it rude and also unproductive from a business viewpoint. They should decide what the actual closing time is and not waste peoples time. read more

I've lived in this town, year round, all my life. I've been to many jewelers over the years. This was my third visit to Spring Lake Jewelers. The first time, Boris designed a beautiful ring for my dear friend. The price was exactly what I'd expect. The second time, I had several pieces of jewelry to be either fixed or polished. They did a nice job on the polishing; in fact, one piece was an antique and they said it was hard to polish yet it shone beautifully. The price for all was very good. The third time, something went wrong. I went twice to see if the jewelry to be polished was ready. I was told "We'll call you." No call. Finally a month later, I insisted it had to be ready at this point. Two people searched for the packet of jewelry, both in the front room and the back. Finally Boris found it. The pieces were nicely polished but between the month-long wait, no phone call, and the cost (which was far higher than the last time), was very different. Hopefully this was a one -time slip-up. read more

I've bought several pieces from this shop. From watches to jewelry. As gifts (watch one time) the person doesn't like it no problem bringing it back. Jewelry people love!! Being new to the area, I was trying to find a jewelry store that would help me fix the watchband that came with a watch that I was gifted recently. I had no luck until I walked into the Spring Lake jewelry store and met Oyuna and Boris. They were both so kind and helpful, and removed the links from my watch and had it back to me the same day. I would've gladly paid for the service but Boris said "No charge"! I ordered custom made sapphire earrings and they are my favorites, precise job, attention to detail, perfect proportions. I also had diamond studs done by Boris- very sturdy closure, stay put and no sharp corners, simply elegant. I also buy silver items for small gifts during holidays, all of my girlfriends ask me where I got the ring or earrings as the selection in the store is always just right, no drowning amount of jewelry, only tasteful pieces that make choosing a fun process. This is a wonderful family-owned and operated jewelry store in downtown Spring Lake. The owner, Boris, is an extremely nice and generous man. I've brought in numerous watches to have links removed so the band properly fits. He is always more than willing to help. Great little store. Definitely worth stopping in! read more
