Awesome food truck concept! I've had spring rolls from them before but on this particular occasion (2017 Maple Bacon Coffee Porter Day at Funky Buddha) I wanted something more sandwich-ey. They had the pork and lemongrass chicken option for their Banh Mi sandwiches that day. I asked what the chefs' favorite was and he of course had a hard time deciding. I chose the pork which I asked for it to be spicy. Unfortunately, it wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be but it did have really great flavor. The side of the sandwich was a fairly good size, just enough to be filling but not over stuffed and really greet quality! Definitely a return customer at future events! read more

The first time I tried their food was during the Funky Buddha birthday party 2016 at Jacorious Park. I love the food truck concept and the food truck itself was really cute. I think their name is very catchy and unique. My brother ordered the spring rolls to share and it was amazing! It was deep fried with all the goodies inside. They provided us with a sweet chili dipping sauce. The meal was gone in 3 seconds. Another time, I had their banh mi, again really delicious. Their food was outstanding and I need to find where they're stationed so I could get some more quick Vietnamese food. The employees were nice and the food came out quick. I hope to see them soon so I could indulge on some more fried spring rolls. They usually are at the Funky Buddha events. We have different food trucks come to our office every Tuesday, this one was in the top 2 for me! I ordered the rice noodles with chicken (sauce on the side) and my co-worker ordered the spring rolls...we shared. That's how we....yeah...roll....Anyhow, both were very good. It was fresh, cooked to order and very delicious. Sorry to begin this review with another business, but my love saga with this truck begins at a brewery. Funky Buddha in Oakland Park (Fort Lauderdale) has food trucks parked out front every night of the week. I have yet to experience a subpar nibble from these nomadic food-bringers, and the fact that they rotate is a stroke of genius. No one that goes to Funky Buddha needing some nosh to go with their brew ever need go hungry (at least after 5pm), the Brewery itself doesn't worry about a kitchen, permits, or shrink and they get to make connections with awesome local businesses. They are legit growing an entire community around their beer, and they're doing it one food truck at a time. Schwing. That being said, Spring in Roll Out is not one to be missed. I don't care what kind of quadruple-sauce fat-ass mayhem is parked next to it. You're already drinking beer. You live in Florida--the land of eternal beach season. Why add insult to thunder-thigh injury? Get something green, fresh, good for you. Order their summer rolls with pork and shrimp and the very. best. peanut sauce I've ever had. Pair it with a light and refreshing Floridian from Funky Buddha and chillax on the patio. Prepare to be refreshed. You will regret absolutely nothing--and probably still be eating a completely acceptable amount of calories, despite your food-bliss. Or do what my husband did. Deliciousness!!! For my wedding, I decided that I wanted to hire a few food trucks to cater rather than a traditional plated meal. My husband and I love Asian food so we knew that we definitely wanted that genre at our wedding. I had heard of Spring and Roll Out and saw that they were going to be at Copperpoint Brewery, so we decided to go check them out! Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, because we tasted the entire menu, was fantastic. The Bahn Mi, the Spring Rolls, the Noodle Bowl, EVERYTHING! I went back out to the truck and met Maky, the owner, and told him about my idea of the 3 trucks and he was all about it. Over the next couple of weeks we put together a menu for the wedding. We had to figure out an ordering process for the guests and Maky was super helpful and go with the flow throughout the planning process! When the day finally came and it was time to party, Spring in Roll Out delivered! We didn't end up serving the Bahn Mi at the wedding because we had another truck serving sandwiches, but Maky new how much we loved it and made us one special so that we could enjoy it after the wedding. Parked outside of Funky Buddha Brewery on a Saturday afternoon, Spring In Roll Out was just what I needed to satisfy my grumbling stomach. The line was a decent size, but not outrageously long. I ordered the lemongrass chicken banh mi, made spicy, and we had a wait time of about 10-15 minutes. The banh mi was worth the wait, though. The baguette was perfectly crisp without being hard, the chicken tender and flavorful, and the toppings packed a nice punch of tanginess and spice. The sandwich was a good size, enough to fill me up but not leave me feeling overstuffed. It was so good that I wanted to go back for another one! The only reason this is 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the price - each sandwich is $10. I'll still probably eat here again if I'm ever in the area, and I'd like to try some of their summer rolls as well as have another delicious lemongrass chicken banh mi. read more

Fabulous banh mi!!! I've tried both pork and chicke n variety, pork is better. Even more amazing cold the next morning for breakfast, as the flavors soak into the bread...whoa... Yums. Spring In Roll Out was invited to park at our office building today and I'm so glad they did. First of all, I bring my lunch to the office every day. Today was no exception and I really wasn't interested in walking outside to go grab something from the food truck...until... ...my co-workers started walking into the building with the sweet scent of Vietnamese food! At first, I shunned the idea of eating again after I'd already eaten my homemade Phad Thai. But then, after about an hour or so of sniffing the food, seeing people walk around with it, and hearing the gobs of kabitzing about how great it was, well, I had to venture outside. Glad I did. My mind went from spring roll to summer roll to the rice noodle bowl, which is what I ultimately landed on. For only 9 bucks I got a huge takeaway of Vietnamese rice noodles with tofu grilled in a wonderful, authentic sauce, and then sprinkled with nuts. Service was super friendly, and they made my tofu to my specifications of not keeping it on the grill too long. You gotta love a good food truck - and Spring in Roll out is UH-mazing. They come to our favorite brewery (Funky Buddha) at least once or twice a month and we are THERE without fail. I believe most of their "appearances" are in the Palm Beach area so when they come down to Broward, it's a can't miss event for us. I was a bahn mi virgin until Spring In Roll Out entered my life - and after eating theirs, I never need to eat another. The ingredients are fresh, the staff UBER friendly and the food is delicious.
