The pizza guy gave us some good intel on what to get and not get, and our pies were made perfectly and brought out hot to us. The bakery has a great selection of freshly made cookies, cakes and other fun items and they were all reasonably priced. I had a peanut butter explosion and the other ladies had some fun frosted sugar cookies. For me the cookies were too crumbly but they loved them. The reason for 3 stars was lack of customer service. I had to go to the front to get cups for soft drinks. The woman I approached didn't say 1 word to me when I told her what I needed. She just walked away to a register where she rang in my purchase. It would have been nice had she said, "follow me," or "I can help you with that." But i figured out what she was doing and paid at the register and then told her I had a problem. She said, "what?" with an irritated tone. I told her I needed the cups I had just paid for. Again, she walked away from me, apparently expecting me to follow her, and I did. Then she asked another employee to hand me the cups. The other woman did that and I thanked her. The cashier who rang up our few groceries was pleasant and the bagger actually joked with me, so at least I had that as I was leaving.

As the name says it is a Butcher & Bistro place. However, these are two different places. Yes,…read moresame owners and they are connected by a doorway. My experience was in the Butcher place. We walked in and it reminded me of a hometown butcher shop. They had a variety of meats, cheeses, condiments, wine & other food related items. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is a cozy place. You can get things to go or just eat there. We ate there I got the Reuben sandwich. Is it the best one in the area? I don't know as I have not been to every place in the area who offers a Reuben. However, it is the best one I have eaten. The sandwich was perfectly maid. The bread was a marble rye, not to thin and thick enough to hold together as you ate it. For the cheese you had a choice of Swiss or Gouda. I went with the Swiss. The sandwich was warmed up just enough to nicely melt the cheese. They make their own corn beef, which you can buy there as well. They had other things that they make themselves, like stuff mushrooms, which looked really good. The corn beef was excellent. With all that said, be prepared to pay $20 for that sandwich. Expensive, but I would say worth it. We also got one of their lunch specials. It was a 4" sub, chips and a soda for $10. As my wife said, it was just okay. However, we are biased towards one local sandwich shop which has great sub bread. This sandwich was good, however the bread was just okay.

He gave the KC strip a 7 out 10. I loved the potato gratin that he ordered. Here's what I didn't like...the service was super slow even though the restaurant wasn't busy and the server didn't apologize for the delays. The ambiance is lacking. It definitely gives "I was formally a sports bar that was hap hazardly put together to try to pass off as an upscale restaurant." It feels cold and unwelcoming in a way. The music over head was barely audible adding to the sterile feel of the space. So bottom line for me, I liked the food well enough, but with the ambiance and service lacking, I won't return.
