The piercing room was very clean, the cashier and piercer were both very friendly and informed, and it was fast and affordable! Hannah was my piercer and she was AMAZING. Very thorough with explaining the piercing and aftercare processes. Definitely recommend going on a day with Hannah in if you want an ear piercing!

If you walk past…read moreand the skulls in with window along with the dark clothing and other almost gothic objects strike your interest, its probably for you. The place is full of cool stuff, and I'd say take a look even if you dont think you want to. Everyones thought about changing their eye colour with contact lenses, haven't they? It's the unsual stuff that uou don't really see around with is worth the looking, and places like Off Ya tree are great to stock them. But then again, there are certain undercurrents in the store; the tattooed attendant stands over a glass cabinet full of tiny scales that weight tiny amounts, and they also sell bongs and other instruments. And theres a clothes compartment out back too, so the place has a few different things to sell. I think either it's something you'll revel in, or you'll hate it there. But then again, I suppose it can strike a passing fancy in anyone who would like a look around.

Best designer shop in Sydney. You honestly could be in any major design savvy city in the world,…read moreand this beautiful shop would still be hard to beat. I've had the most wonderful customer service, and the gifts through to the art and furniuture is first class, and really quite unique. They're always doing something different, so you can pop in regularly and still be suprised.

He was the most helpful man and even though he didn't see it in the shop he was going to contact the worker who was there the day before and call me back (all of this not even knowing if I left it in his store or not). I eventually found my camera and contacted the store manager thanking him for his efforts. The store itself is situated in the courtyard where patrons of Bills are dining. A sister store to there location in Potts Point, this store is much more compact, but has a great variety of beautiful items. I've purchased a couple of gifts here and there unique selection of items and beautiful gift wrapping make it such a great place to get one of a kind item gifts. The last time I was there I was looking at a selection of beautiful designed silk scarves. The store manager pulled out a number of designs for me to see and we had some fun trying different styles and colours. There is always such a great vibe about this store and the staff is helpful without being pushy or salesman-like. If you are on the look out for a sophisticated and unique gift for someone or just want to find something to pamper yourself, Becker Minty is a great place to look.

The Oxford St end of Crown St is a mecca for vintage clothing. Not all of it is great, and not all…read moreof it is cheap, but all of it is worth checking out and U Turn is a must on the second-hand scouting check-list. U Turn has a pretty wide selection, mostly colour coded and ranging from cute yellow sundresses to slime green sequined padded bras/tops with nipple tassles. Fact. The rack that hosted the mosted for me was lined with one piece swimsuits of all shapes and colours, from strapless leopard print to '90's padded checks, paisley flowing floral numbers and fluro striped black catsuits that I'm pretty sure I once owned. Most of these were priced around $25, and whilst the smell of chlorine that clung to them deterred me a little (on top of the facts that a) it's almost like buying second hand underwear and b) I daresay years of wear has led to severely see-through swimmers), I feel an imminent purchase in the not so distant future. I've found a few good buys from U Turn in the past and if you've got the time to look hard enough, you can often find something pretty nice for pretty cheap - the last dress I bought from here was only $30. They also have a small selection of slightly (read heavily) worn shoes and some stellar handbags. The staff here are occasionally willing to swing you a deal if you're spending a bit too. NB: Heaps cooler than the Rozelle U-Turn store.

I am not so sure about recycled fashion stores, I suppose if you are a uni student looking for a…read moreretro look I can understand. But as I look through the racks in U Turn, I think to myself that I could probably find most of these clothes in St Vinnies for a fraction of the price. However if you don't want to treasure hunt in charity shops, U turn is a good option as you know they have selected pre loved clothes of existing quality so you can fast track your way to a retro look. U Turn obviously carefully select their stock, providing a mixed selection of 70's and 80's fashion. Lots of old jumpers, leather jackets and loud shirts. Their focus seems to be more towards women than men. Although I did find a hat I liked, I don't think I have enough hipster in me for U Turn to entice me to purchase, but based on the crowd in many Sydney clubs, they could be a goldmine for twenty something's in Sydney,
