I personally love the water features that they have available. The only problem with this store is that because it has so much stuff in it, it is very crowded with bits and pieces and you feel like you could knock something over at any minute. The prices of these items are good, and there are many things which would make a fantastic gift for someone. Definitely worth a look at.

Maxmix Home & Gifts is definitely the store to visit when you're looking for a gift for that special someone or you want to buy something that will brighten up your house. There's so much home decor to be found in-store (unintentional rhyme). I love the classic gift boxes with hollywood celebrities such as James Dean and Marilyn Monroe, and I absolutely adore the Buddha's! As Rachel has previously mentioned, it can be quite crowded and I'm a naturally clumsy person which makes me feel uneasy when I'm walking around incase I break something. That being said, the store is worth visiting. It would be hard not to find something that you like.

I love that the decorations and theming of the store change regularly, with Christmas being the best time of year to visit - but Valentines day is always another highlight! I'll admit to having purchased many things from the store - a beautiful resin deer head, lots of bling, many a glasshouse candle, some beautiful picture frames, bags, vases and pretty much anything you can thing of - the only thing that currently alludes me are cushions - I want ALL the cushions they currently have in stock, but I guess I'll have to narrow it down to one or two...sigh, life is tough! UPDATE: I went here just last week and - along with a store absolutely BURSTING with stock - so much of it! I was also delighted to see that the talented ladies are now offering fresh cut flower arrangements! Everything looked beautifully put together and the girls were able to custom make arrangements and include favourites in there - something that was GREATLY appreciated!

This makes House not only a one-stop-shop for kitchen necessities, but also a great place for gift ideas. The staff is very friendly and helpful when it comes to assisting in picking out gift ideas. They also exercise an incredible amount of patience - even when my girlfriend and I took up to half an hour deciding between two different kinds of vases! Though it was bought as a gift, we were very appreciative of the shop assistant's attempts to make an informed decision based on our home decor and preferences. He also gift-wrapped it as soon as we committed to buy - I commend that sort of enthusiasm!

For a reasonable price they have some gorgeous items which could be placed around the home or given to someone as a lovely gift. There are plenty of different types of things to choose from, some which will look great in the kids bedroom or some which will look great in the garden. There are some lovely candles which make the store smell divine, which is always an important factor to me when it comes to these stores. This store is on two different "levels" (in other words there are a couple steps in the middle of the store to get to the counter), so be careful of your step. It's easy to get distracted by all the items for sale and to miss your step! Even though I was in Eclat for a little while browsing, the lady at the counter never asked me if I was looking for anything in particular. This necessarily is not a bad thing in my mind because I like browsing to myself and if I need help, I'll ask for it. Though there may be some who think this irritating and rude. I didn't get that vibe.
