Good ole Sporty's of Langdon ND, oh how I love thee! While on contract I simply couldn't get enough of eating the Buffalo wings, Philly sandwiches, and chicken Alfredo calzones; all made fresh to order. I can't count on one hand how many times I've ordered delivery to the job from this place, or sat at the bar and drunk a tropical tea after a long day of work. Sporty's will remain my favorite part of visiting ND and reason I'd consider coming back to Langdon despite the weather. I've tried just about every menu item within my 30 days of being here and I haven't experience one bad dish! If for some reason you oddly find yourself passing through the small city of Langdon North Dakota do yourself a favor and stop by Sporty's!

Food is always delicious, So is the appetizers. BUT.... I think Sporty's can use some Host, Keep the Bartender's at the bar and have actual Host for tending to people who are ordering food and drinks. Takes kinda long to get someone to actually come to our table, and sometimes I feel like non the bartender's are ever happy . Other than that. It's coo. Shout out to whoever is in the back cooking lol

Average bar, average food, nice decor. The menu is nice because they have half orders which is a nice amount for lunch. The burger was good, the quesadilla was crispy. It was a good lunch spot and the ice cream shop across the street make Langdon an interesting downtown.

Great food! Everything has been just as ordered. Friendly customer service. All the employees have been great. Clean environment. Family atmosphere. Quick with to-go orders.

3 strips of bacon that equaled 1/2 of a strip of regular bacon.

Been here twice. First time it was ok, 2nd time little worse. I'm from a big city, here in this small town if you're not a regular or make friends with the staff your shit out of luck. 1st time (didn't take a picture) i ordered the spaghetti. You can't screw up spaghetti, but some how they did. Don't expect homemade sauce, expect ragu or prego. Noodles were over cooked and when you get "garlic bread" expect 1 piece of toast with butter and garlic salt on it. 2nd visit was kind of insulting. I ordered the BLT, and well I got everything expect the B. I served 13 years in the Army. The bacon we got in the field for our morning hot chow was thicker then what was served, and that was out of a can. The bLT was flavorless, the bacon seemed microwave bacon. The fries were alright not enough seasoning a few under cooked. As i said before, if you make friends or are a regular you'll be served. I had 3 beers, that evening had less then half a full bar/restaurant. So after my 3rd beer i had to wait until after the regulars were served before i got my check. The bartender she seemed nice but other then a greeting, a request for a menu, my order and a "how's the food" very little interaction.

Read the earlier reviews and had a different experience…read more Staying next door so tried it out. 830pm on a Friday night. Sat instantly, by very welcoming and helpful staff. The place seems ideal for larger groups watching sports tbh, screens everywhere, lively open room, etc. Listen, is this some romantic dinner or high end steakhouse? Not in my opinion. But it does deliver on the classics with an unassuming vibe.

The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I couldn't decide between the hamburger and the chicken club. I really love the clubhouse sandwiches at Garwood Grill and Roxies and was hoping for some of the same here. Unfortunately, their version of a chicken club is just a regular chicken sandwich with bacon and tomato added. On top of that, my chicken was burned and the burned parts were quite tough. I did not want to complain and have to wait for another chicken sandwich though. The fries were OK but as we got close to the bottom, they seem to get tough and grainy. It is a little difficult to explain. Their onion rings as an appetizer were absolutely fantastic. The buffalo chicken sandwich was OK. The hamburger was decent. This is kind of like a sports bar feel and they had large TV setups. It is a very open restaurant so there was a relatively loud background noise, but otherwise OK. While the service was very good , the food was basically average for the main meals. Overall, not really worth the cost for me.

The Club Bar is a staple in Park River, ND. If you're in town, you need to stop here. Their motto…read moreis 'No Bad Days' & I promise you won't have one after you enter their front door. Their service is quick & my favorite drink to order is their Caesar. It's a North Dakota twist on the Blood Mary (think Clamato instead of thick Bloody Mar mix) & this bar makes it best. Most weeks, they are open Thursday-Saturday unless something else is going on (ex: 4th of July which is one of Park River North Dakota's biggest days of the year). They have a black jack dealer (most Fridays/Saturdays) if you'd like to partake in some games and digital pull tubs and poker machines. One of my favorite aspects is their juke box. It has EVERY song you could imagine. Yep, every one. You can play some abstract old R. Kelly song or you could play something top 40. They have it all & it's a blast to get the place hopping with some fun, unexpected songs to see how the bar patrons react. Play some Soulja Boy and while some small towns turn on you in a heartbeat, you'll probably find the elderly farmer stopping in for a cold Budweiser dancing and smiling right along with the young people. This place has that affect on people, it brings them together. They are a big Vikings bar & host Vikings parties each Sunday. A must-visit during football season because there's probably going to be great food, a great turnout, cowbells a plenty & a great atmosphere for the game. The bottom line: This is the perfect not-so-divey dive bar in Park River, ND. Locally owned, locally loved & they'll always make you feel like one of them when you visit.

If you've ever flown into Winnipeg, and looked out the right window of the plane at exactly the…read moreright time, then maybe you've caught a glimpse of Park River, ND... which is your loss, because this is one of those little towns on the high plains with the familiarity of a thousand others and a unique charm all its own. Nestled amidst the shops and cafes along the main drag through town, right across the street from the post office where the gal behind the counter knows everyone's name, is the Top Hat Bar. You'll recognize the sign by the larger Budweiser sign just below it, hanging out over the hundred year old sidewalk. Not sure if this was the same guys who ran the Top Hat Bar in neighboring Pisek, but I didn't ask. Inside, it's what you would expect of a small bar in a North Dakota town: quaint, comfortable, a mix old signs and pictures on the walls, probably a photo of someone holding a walleye in here. The usual offerings are served up here with hospitality to slake your thirst. Cold beer, a full bar, and a friendly sort of vibe, even if you're from Kale-ifoornya, dontchaknow. On July 4, the parade heads right through town in front of the bar, and it seems local law enforcement (most of them are in the parade) are lax about stepping outside with your Bloody Mary in a plastic cup. Uff'dah, you betcha. Great place to stop in if you're out exploring the high prairie, and need to wash the dust outta your throat.
