Sports Direct on High Street in Sheffield city centre was a fairly disappointing branch of the sportswear retailer on a recent visit, it is located fairly close to Halifax Bank under a slight tunnel.
This is one of the old-fashioned type stores, you have to enter through stairs or an old mobility lift.
The selection in the store was okay, it wasn't really what you would expect from the main city centre though, in terms of size and selection, it reminded me a lot of a Sports Direct branch you'd see in a small town or their Manchester Market Street store which is earmarked for closure (the second branch they have in Manchester city centre)
The staff didn't seem too outgoing or willing to help.
This store seems to be in a different league to the Meadowhall branch nearby, which is much larger and more modern, it kind of feels like the divide in Sheffield at the moment, with the Meadowhall branch being Premier League side Sheffield United, and this branch being Sheffield Wednesday of the Championship (You're welcome blades).
Much need for improvement in most factors.
