But it is the cycling aspect of the business which is undeniably the strongest, as they sell a large selection of performance bikes, cycling shoes and clothing, mileometers and other gadgets, and bike repair parts. The selection in the store was okay, it wasn't really what you would expect from the main city centre though, in terms of size and selection, it reminded me a lot of a Sports Direct branch you'd see in a small town or their Manchester Market Street store which is earmarked for closure (the second branch they have in Manchester city centre) The staff didn't seem too outgoing or willing to help. This store seems to be in a different league to the Meadowhall branch nearby, which is much larger and more modern, it kind of feels like the divide in Sheffield at the moment, with the Meadowhall branch being Premier League side Sheffield United, and this branch being Sheffield Wednesday of the Championship (You're welcome blades). A selection of bats (from low end to high end), batting pads in all shapes, sizes and weights, and a similarly wide variety of gloves and the now essential helmets. I also remember that they were willing to advise me in terms of exactly what I was looking for and how much I was willing to pay, and I clearly remember that they knocked 10% off the total price because I told them which team I played for. So I went back in last week, and gladly, nothing seems to have changed. I'll remember this place if I ever take up cricket again.
