I can only speak on behalf of the bar side of house and not restaurant side. Order at bar, cash…read more(or card) for carry, and hipster culture clash ambience as there is a bar, restaurant, and basement for live music. Wanted to stop in a highly recommended place for a drink while in the Jewish District. The bartending skills didn't disappoint. Menu has some nice signature cocktails and they have a seasonal menu as well, such as Hot beer, Mulled wine, etc. Definitely worth the experience if you're in the area. Street market across the way with collector items and various things. Several restaurants surround the centre and building makes you feel like you're in Poland prior to 1987 .

This place acts as a pub at night, but a breakfast joint during the day. I was here for breakfast…read moreand this place was easily one of the best breakfast I've had in Europe so far! It is conveniently located near the main square and there is an outdoor market in the Jewish Quarter right outside. The decor is very rustic and retro, so totally fits the Polish mood. Their breakfast was very fresh, even their eggs tastes so much better than the ones I've had in the U.S. Some of the comments down below mentioned that the servers here are rude. I've had quite the opposite experience. Everyone here was very helpful and someone even swung by to check up on us. I honestly wish I found this place earlier, because I would have totally came back for seconds. Till next time Alchemia!

Pasaż has just opened, but it's already shaping up to be the hippest joint in town. The location is…read moreunbeatable, smack in the middle of the Old Town. The ambience is rather unique. The wall of windows give you a nice view of the goings-on in the pasaż. On the opposing side, you're greeted by colorful graphic prints, each of which offers an ironic message, Facebook-style. There's window-side seating with beanbags. There's outdoor seating. There's a spiral staircase. There're alarmingly few toilets. All the necessary ingredients for a mega-successful bar appear to be present. On a practical side, I really like electrical outlets beside the bench by the window. There's one on each end. Excellent spots for plugging in your laptop. The free Wifi is pretty speedy too.

This was a cool place in a very surprising location. Walk through an archway and you're suddenly in…read morean essentially open air courtyard (technically covered, but ceiling is so high and space is so open, you feel like you're outside). Even though there's an entrance from just off the main square, you feel like you're in a much less crowded part of the city and are surrounded groups of young, trendy Krakowians. The atmosphere here is the best part, a great outdoor area with tons of seating on benches made from palettes. And inside has lots of stools, chairs, and bean bag chairs, including some in more secluded areas if you're looking for a more intimate experience. Beers are similar in price to other bars in the area and for those in IPA withdrawal in pilsener-happy Poland, they have a Zywiec APA on draft which was pretty good. Decent liquor selection as well. Pasaz was great and I would definitely recommend it.
