There was no real sense of the wines being part of the experience, and several of our pours appeared to come from the bottoms of nearly empty, previously opened bottles. The wine itself wasn't particularly good, and it was served in plastic cups. The bartender we encountered was also rather surly. Dinner was served in the upstairs barn space. The food was okay, but nothing particularly memorable. Dancing was in the covered outdoor pavilion. It's a nice space, but it was extremely hot with very little air movement. Even a couple large outdoor fans would have made a huge difference. Most surprising, after dinner there was no complimentary water available. Guests who wanted water had to purchase a plastic bottle inside, where alcohol was still being served. With a hot outdoor pavilion, dancing, and alcohol being served, readily available drinking water seems like a pretty basic hospitality consideration. The setting is lovely and has plenty of rustic charm. Unfortunately, the service and some relatively simple details kept the experience from living up to the location.
