I will be the first to admit CCS -USED TO BE- a fine college like over 15 years ago and now it is broken! Now it is different staff, different moral standards, unsafe security, and corrupt employees and instructors. CCS is so corrupt adjunct instructors don't have a prayer of a future at CCS; it's who you know not what you know. Like Spokane Washington it's what color you are not how smart you are! You get what you pay for! Save your money and pay for the university; it will be worth it. I learned nothing. You don't even have to un-wrap a book because most instructors help you cheat and they generate the test suitable for the class to pass. I know a doctor's office that will not hire people from the community colleges and I encourage others not to hire people from CCS by informing them of what I know how we are learning or not learning. A writing intensive class is suppose be like intense and long writing, but my instructor had us write one bloody paragraph every day and that was it. Then, she allowed students to insult and put each other down in class, everyday it was verbally abusive. She really enjoyed it! These colleges and their instructors are so pathetic that it is real easy for students to cheat. I witness students use their iPhones and take pictures of tests and exams then use them while testing right in front of instructors. In a few of my classes instructors literally leave the classes while testing is going on so that students can cheat...why else would they leave? If you report this, staff members like Chrissy Davis will make you out to be a problem student as she did to me - You have seen her on CCS commercials ("THIS IS MY COLLEGE!" She says...). The commercials are for desperation. In the last couple of years attendance has been very low in Spokane and area wide. Three years ago I had to fight to find a seat in the lounge and now I can't run fast enough to get away from this unsafe college. Stop treating students like crap, and remember that we are the reason you have a job; Karma! The community colleges in Spokane are trash. They have a huge problem with ADA law violations and discrimination, the security campus owned by Ken D. is this crazy harasser who used to be a state police officer. They ticket you like they need toilet paper bad and can't afford it. This college is anti-Israel; this campus security owner asked me to take off my Israel doggie tag off my neck while I was on campus. He harassed me and I had to have a friend with me in order to attend my class because that SOB would not leave me alone. I even had to record my surroundings because security, instructors, and the staff lies often to save themselves from destruction that they create on their own. This college will throw students under the bus for a job to stuff their faces. They only now put in a few visitor spots but they are only like a few minutes and that is long enough to trap you because anything you have to do at the college takes longer than that so you will get a ticket. The instructors have power control issues and are abusive. One instructor hit my desk and my book while speaking to me in a rude manner. The Dean told me that was not abusive. This college has a chancellor from Denver Co. who was fired for embezzlement...I encourage you to look her up on the Denver Post (Christine J.). She did everything to avoid me when I filed a complaint against instructors who were refusing to implement my disability accommodations. In one quarter alone it took the middle of the quarter for my accommodations to be setup. Then, she would refuse to see me when I filed a 7 page complaint against the security campus owner Ken D. and the dean Darin P. who destroyed the document to protect him at SFCC because they play golf together. Both SFCC and SCC are utterly corrupt. All I kept hearing from staff was how rude the students were and they kept badmouthing the running start students how they have no respect, they are punks, and where did their parents go wrong, and this is why staff is so rude in return and they put up with them for the grants. Like wow, really? The instructors were complaining of how sick and tired they were of generating their tests for the students to pass. Parents, your kids are not safe in the community colleges of Spokane they are bad mouthing you and your kids and your parenting I had to hear it for three years. Run until you can see no black top. Show CCS that you are good parents and take them to the universities where they won't bad mouth your kids and protect them from privacy act violations. Not to mention, the tuition is so high now at CCS it almost matches the university prices, which by the way they have not been going up at the universities. read more
