House of Frames was such a cool shop to walk around in for a few minutes, and my only complaint is…read morethat I didn't come in sooner! I always thought that it was just a frame shop (yes, I know, I', an idiot,) but when I walked in, I was shocked when I saw so many pieces of beautiful artwork! I was shocked to see so many pieces of high-quality art sitting in a shop in Columbia, SC! Whether you're Christian or not, they had a lot of art pieces featuring Mary and Baby Jesus, which I found to be amazing! They also had a lot of really cool beach landscapes, which I didn't expect to see! The customer service was also amazing, where the employee on shift explained what the shop was all about, offered to answer any questions, and made himself available throughout my entire trip! My best piece of advice: don't be an idiot like me and think that this shop just sells picture frames; please stop in and see all of the amazing pieces of artwork! I promise you won't regret it!

They are conveniently located right on Forest Drive in Columbia, SC and inside of a small shopping plaza. So there is no issues with parking and they can accommodate small and large groups. We had 3 people in our group and the young lady that was working was very professional. I can't remember the staff employees name (I think it was Lucie) but she was very friendly and helpful during our entire experience. We had 2 different types of wood decorated projects for our homes, and was there for about 3-4 hours. The staff employee was very knowledgeable and took the time to educate us throughout both small projects. He explained to us that he was in a hurry as he had things to do and was closing early. My husband asked if we could still look at what we had and he said yes. You could tell from his demeanor that he was annoyed. When the offer came in, it seemed a bit low from the research we had done. When we questioned, the remark was snarky and short. I am completely aware that some of this business is subjective to opinions but not explaining and making rude comments when asked to explain is unacceptable. It felt like we were being low balled and the having rude customer service on top of this was not a place that I would like to do business with. I would seek other shops for your rare and collectible coins.

Before leaving, I called at 9:00 a.m. to let the store know I was on my way to pick up my order. When I arrived around 10:40 a.m., the experience immediately went downhill. I stood at the customer service desk while three employees were present, yet no one acknowledged me or asked if I needed assistance. Everyone appeared frustrated and completely uninterested in helping customers. After waiting, I finally got someone to assist me. Unfortunately, it only got worse. By the time my order was being loaded around 11:15 a.m., the two employees handling the pickup were rude, short, and abrasive. There was no greeting, no communication, and no appreciation for the fact that I was picking up a significant order. I work in Greenville and rarely shop the Columbia location, and this experience reminded me why. The difference in customer service between the two stores is night and day. Greenville has consistently been professional, friendly, and helpful. Columbia, on the other hand, made what should have been a simple pickup stressful and frustrating. When customers spend thousands of dollars and plan their day around picking up materials, they deserve to be treated with courtesy and respect. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend the Columbia location. If you have the option, I would strongly suggest driving to the Greenville store instead.
