Look at me, I'm a Sandra fiend! Bursting with customer loyalty! (....it was that or the John Travolta song....so, you're welcome.) And shame on me for not having updated my review sooner, because.... 1. Sandy is hooked up with a square now and she absolutely accepts credit cards. 2. I've been seeing her for three years and my perpetually colored locks have never been healthier. Not only did she bring my hair back from the brittle brink, she has again and again proven her prowess with color. The first time I sat in her chair, and told her the long, rainbow-bright history of my hair, she smirked and said, "Oh, you're one of those, huh? The ones who get bored. You're going to be trouble." Smart cookie, because I like to go red in the winter and blonde in the summer, and for three years Sandy has navigated me safely between either spectrum. And the color I get in between! My fave! As if that weren't enough, Sandy also administers the best haircuts I've ever had in my life. Probably due to the simple fact that she loves what she does. For having been in the industry for decades (like, when perms were all the rage decades), she never grew stagnant, never burnt out. She keeps learning. What's more, she's EXCITED to! She regularly attends teaching seminars - always telling me about some new technique she learned from one high end stylist guru or another - and she is downright giddy over new products (she could hardly wait for me to see/feel the magic of Olaplex)! Oh, and I almost forgot, she's affordable too! I know. It's like I'm making this up, but it's all truly true. Funny thing is, though, I'm not writing this to drum up her clientele. I chose to see Sari at Split Ends on the recommendation of a coworker's wife. I was specifically looking for blonde highlights, but Sari is a great colorist all around according to my coworker's wife. I brought in two pictures and together we decided what we were going to do. The highlights and the cut turned out exactly how I asked for them to. The whole experience was great. Clean place, good magazines, good conversation, comfortable. Here's the best part...together, the cut and color were $60! That's what really pushed this place to 5 stars for me. I couldn't believe it. They're more expensive separately (cut or color). I highly recommend this place sheerly for the quality of work for the price. One other note - they just started accepting credit cards. read more

All I can say is...Sari is an AMAZING hairdresser/sytlist! She definitely knows what she is doing. I didn't have anything specific in mind when I first went in, but only told her that I want layers and umbre done to my hair. She immediately set to work and my hair came out fantastic. I am very very very very..picky when it comes to who touches my hair! I've had many, many bad hair mess ups by other stylists in this town! A customer at work referred me to see Sari & so with much reluctance, I did. Right from the start I let her know the type & texture of my hair. I told her how I used to style it & what I wanted her to do now. Low & behold this woman is a hair magician!! I have gotten nothing but compliment after compliment after compliment etc...!! Can't speak for their ability to do hair BUT I can tell you they are horrible at answering their phone and retuning calls. I called during business hours and got the answering machine - left 2 messages. They did not call me back - maybe they just have too much business - they clearly do not need mine, nor will they get it. Typical Sierra Vista customer service. read more

I got a bad hair cut from Janice and paid $35 for it. My layers were completely uneven and she didn't check it before she sent me on my way. She was multitasking while she worked. If I had the guts, I'd go get my money back. I have an appt with Jessica at Hair Experience to fix the damage. Guess my hair won't be growing out as quickly as I'd hoped. :( read more

After a bad experience at another salon, I was a little worried about getting my hair colored again. But Sari did an amaaaazing job and both my color and cut! I only came in with a few pictures of what I wanted and she gave me exactly that, but even better. Atmosphere was very cute. Will definitely have to come back in soon! read more

I have been seeing Jeana for a little over two years. I have been to a few other people in town, and they were okay, but Jeana is AMAZING! This is the first time that I have been a loyal customer to anyone who does my hair. She is always willing to try new things, and give me a little input because I am often indecisive. I may have an idea, but she asks all the right questions to be sure I am getting exactly what I want. Aside from her amazing skill with hair, Jeana has a great personality. My last hair dresser was a little on the boring side, and sitting there for three hours with someone who doesn't have much of a personality is no fun! I have always had a great experience with Jeana, and many of my friends happily see her now as well. I recently started bringing my seven year old daughter to get her hair cut, and she loves Jeana, too. All of the ladies in the salon are friendly and personable.
