Henry Has so many steps; I thought wow I'm going to have great looking nails. But pays no attention to detail. I was so looking forward to getting my nails and pedicure done; while on a business trip with my husband. Now I'm disappointed by how nails look. He left hang nails underneath my nails; and left black spots on my nails; as well as I have lines in the pink part of my nails! Use to be a regular customer. Over the past year or so, the place is getting dirtier and dirtier. The area to wash your hands is fullof trash and not clean. The bathroom is filthy and inside the bathroom is a closet type area with a dirty small matress and toys where their small Children nap and play. The parents work on your nails and watch the kids at the same time. The kids puck up and play with the polis and tools used to do your nails. This nail salon is located inside a mall where the kids often run out into the mall area unsupervised. Not a sanitary place, and too many distractions. read more

Cue the creepy, horror movie music. There were no customers so I walked in. I was promptly asked for what I needed. "An upper lip wax," I whispered. I was quickly offered a seat at a nail station. I was just getting comfy when I realized there was a wax pot right next to me. Before I could protest, my stach was being waxed in full view of the mall. NOOOOOOO! Now all the mall walkers know I get my stach waxed. My skin was dabbed with baby oil. Then I was handed a mirror. My stach was gone but very red. Almost as red as my cheeks. Cost was $6 before tip. I came here because someone recommended this place. We came to get our nails done for a wedding. They advertised on Facebook that they had this new powder that didn't have the chemicals so I jumped on it and when I made the reservation I told them that's what I wanted done. I even mentioned it when I sat down. I got a pedicure first and it was the worse one ever. The so called massage was lame and didn't relax me at all. When it was time for my nails she did the pink and white acrylic. I was so mad and wanted to cry. I was also exhausted after a long day of work so I paid and left. Fast forward two weeks later and my nails itch non stop. I don't know what kind of chemicals they used by my hands has. Ren itching for over a week now. My daughter nails broke off after little over a week. Save your money and go elsewhere. We went to kings nails to get the fills done. Never going back to one in the mall. King nails won my business. I wished I went to them from the beginning. While we were there two other people walked in for fills. They were quoted a price. It was high so they said they were leaving. Owner came by and lowered the price so they stayed. They do not have set prices and pull numbers out of their head. My daughter wanted ombré and he raised the price up twice. I'm like no you aren't getting ombré here. Here's an update. I got a message from the manager. The first one was an apology which I appreciated. Then I got a second one saying he didn't understand why I gave a negative review. I responded back with why. Then I got a third one putting the blame on me. I'm sorry, but this place is very unprofessional for reaching out more than once. See below for his third and final response. 1. I never showed him a picture. He showed it to me and brought his wife over to show me a picture of the pink and white. Never once did they mention it was acrylic. I told them from the get go I wanted powder. How was I to know by looking at the picture they showed me it was acrylic? 2. Two of us heard the conversation with the other customer 3. We didn't do anything to cause the nail to pop off. My daughter lost 2 of them. 4. Holographic nails does not have to be done only on gel. We know many people who had it done on acrylic. 5. It was the sides of the French that went all the way up to the cuticles Hi Teresa, thanks for your response! I will explain to your every point that you have just listed: 1. Before you come to us i know that you want to do dipping powder and when you show us a picture from our facebook that we use Pink and White acrylic. I came and talk to you about that and you agreed to let us do acrylic on your nails ( if without your permission how can we finish your nails). moreover if your get itched you should call us so we can take off nails because i know that you get allergy with acrylic and you do not suffer from itching. and then we can replace your nails by dipping or something else. you said that "you paid way too much for the nails to fall off a week later": we are always responsible and guaranteed for what we did, if your nails fall of by itself or you accidentally to break some of your nails we are always happy to fix or replace without charging any money just give us a call. If you do not have time to come we are willing to wait to redo it when you have time. 2. about the the prices. When you were there there are two customers come and about to leave because the price was too expensive. I did not come to lower the price I come to tell them another choice that if they agree to do regular acrylic in stead of the Natural Pink One of course the quality of the product is different from the Natural pink. I do not know if you pay attention to the whole conversation that i talked to them before you draw a concluding for yourself and you write it publicly on face book and yelp that hurt our reputation. It is my fault when i see the holographic but i though i was gel color. Because with the holographic it has to be done on the gel color base that is the reason why to come to $60 here is the detail: fullset + gel color= $50 Fullset + gel color + holographic = 60 3. To the point when the lady did your nails and put the white too far to your nails base that you did not like it: When we do nails we always put customers opinion first if you do not like it just tell her that you do not want like that. sometimes we do it a little farther down because we know that with the white further down, customer can wait a little longer before the nails show the line under the real nails and that way help customers save money and time to get their nails filled. I hope that my explanation help you understand more about us. we do not do nails carelessly but we do with care and very responsible for what we did. I love this shop. While in Sierra Vista, I tried only 1 other shop, but ended up at City Nails. IMG_1112.jpg My tech was Henry. I loved him to pieces. Although he's the only who did my hands, there were others who did my pedicures and his wife usually did my eye brows. Henry was always accommodating, whether it was coming in early or coming in on his days off just to do my nails. I am truly going to miss the staff and the shop. It's hard to find a great nail shop. As I am VERY picky about my pedicures I need to remember that this is not my regular nail person. With that in mind, I needed a pedicure and this place was recommended as a good place. The woman doing my pedicure was very young and probably hadn't been doing them very long because I asked her to NOT cut them too short. She then proceded to cut them to short. I also have a toe that gets a horrible hang nail that actually grows under the nail at the top. Instead of removing it she pushed it farther under the nail, VERY uncomfortable!! The guy sitting next to her said he would fix it, but I didn't trust him and said I would fix it at home. She finished the pedicure, but wound up painting the top of my nail, another reason I don't keep them too short. She did try to get the polish off, but was not successful. All in all it was just an ok experience. read more

I have been using City Nails for at least 10 years. I have always been very satisfied with their services. I get many compliments on my nails and they last for between 2-3 weeks before they grow out to the point that I can't type. I use the acrylic with gel on top. Recently I have started getting pedicures, too. The pedicures are wonderful! They do wonderful massages on the legs and feet that are just heavenly! They have massage chairs, too. So relaxing! They use plastic liners for the water. When they drain the water, they put a new fresh clean liner in before the next client, so that there is no chance of spreading toenail fungus through the water tub. Great acrylic nails. i have had acrylic nails done here in two separate occasions and they do a great job. regular acrylics and gitter powder. They last and dont peel away after just a cpl weeks like most places in sv. Also they are very careful not to tare up your cuticles and make them look dry and crack. Thats a huge pet peeve of mine... Everything is smooth and clean looking. They are not very chatty people i have noticed, kind of quiet, but ill take quality over socializing when it comes to my nails. A good amount of people I work with go here so I figured I'd give it a try because I couldn't make it to the place I usually go. I got a full set of coffin shape acrylics and gel polish. This is what I usually get at my regular place for $40-$45 depending on if I get any designs or anything extra. Here it cost me $50 plus tip. I got these done on a weekday afternoon when only one other person was in the shop. The lady that called me back never really spoke to me except to ask how long I wanted my nails and what shape. She was very short with me the whole time which made me kind of uncomfortable. The nails themselves didn't turn out the best some are crooked and the tips are slanted on a couple one shoots out at a weird angle. Polish was okay but the lady kept poking my hand instead of telling me to put them under the light which was kind of rude. When I took them out of the lamp she told me to wash my hands and just said done. All in all I will be getting these taken off and redone at my usual place ASAP. read more
