I no longer live in Texas, so I saw another provider locally. That provider was recommended by this office and uses the same lab. During that visit, I was shown a clear image of an unsealed margin on the tooth adjacent to the failed restoration. This area is now causing significant sensitivity and requires treatment. Despite this, I was told by Dr. Young that addressing it would be a personal choice and not necessary. I was also told that issues like this could be related to whether I was keeping up with cleanings. I have consistently attended my dental cleanings before and after the restoration. I have been trying to get help since April 11, when the crown failed. I was finally told on 4/30 that a night guard would be remade and sent. I provided my address and never received a response or update. My records state that a night guard was delivered to me after treatment completion. I never received a night guard. What I was given were retainers, which I believed were night guards all along. I raised concerns shortly after placement in 2023, including asymmetry and bite issues, and provided photos at the time. I relied on the guidance that things were addressed. I am now dealing with a failed restoration, another tooth requiring treatment, and no protective night guard despite documentation stating otherwise.

I thought it would be convenient, but unfortunately, that was not the case. My first visit was a regular exam and checkup, followed by a cleaning on a separate visit, which went completely fine. After that, I scheduled a wisdom tooth extraction but had to cancel the appointment. I was told I would receive a full refund (almost $1,000), so I went ahead and canceled. That same day, I also scheduled a new appointment for a filling. I called on Monday to cancel the wisdom tooth extraction and request the refund, then came in on Friday for my scheduled filling. When I arrived, the front desk told me my appointment was never scheduled. They claimed they didn't know who scheduled it, suggested I may have called the wrong office, or that I scheduled through an operating team that "doesn't always communicate with them." They even tried to say it was my responsibility to call and verify my appointment, which I find unreasonable since they were the ones who scheduled me. Thankfully, the clinical staff was able to squeeze me in, and I only waited about 30 minutes. I truly appreciated that. However, the front office has been an ongoing issue. I later found out that when I called on Monday to cancel my wisdom tooth extraction, no one ever submitted my refund. When I went in on Friday, they processed the refund right in front of me -- days after it should have already been done. Since then, I've continued to get the runaround. I'm now being told the refund is still "pending" and that there's no update until someone else approves it, which could apparently take months. This is extremely frustrating and unacceptable, especially for such a large amount of money. I will not be returning, which is unfortunate because the doctors, dental assistants, and hygienists were all amazing -- kind, professional, and attentive. I have absolutely no complaints about the back office. Unfortunately, the front desk is disorganized and unreliable, and I don't want to deal with that again.

Andrea spent a lot of time answering questions about insurance, telling me what questions I needed to ask my insurance company when I realized I needed to switch insurances, making phone calls to the insurance company for me when I needed to get paperwork from them, filing for pre treatment estimates with the insurance company so that I wouldn't be left with a surprise bill if the insurance company did not cover what I thought they would (which really helped because it did happen that one of the insurance companies I tried did not cover anywhere near what they were supposed to) and also helped me get on a payment plan through sunbit, with a very affordable down payment for what the insurance company wouod not cover so that I could hurry up and get the work done that I needed. Of course the dental appointment went great. They made the crown in the office and were able to finish everything that day, in less than two hours. His assistant was so sweet. They really do care about your comfort while you are in their office. They always provide you with a neck pillow, ask you what you want to watch on tv while your getting your teeth worked on, and they even offered me a blanket while I was waiting for the crown to be made. I will never go to another dentists office. Dr. Logan has been my dentist since I was old enough to get my teeth cleaned. His entire office staff is professional kind and treat you like family. Not only would I recommend Dr. Logan to a friend, I would honestly feel like they were making a mistake if they went anywhere else.
