Will not recommend this business to anyone. Scott seems to have power wash my vehicle at full blast... interior still dirty... mats wet for days later. Window had waxx on them. Pieces of my interior was either lose or damaged... car lighter and caps for door, found on street the next day. Personal items damaged. Engine wash caused more damaged... it was washed so hard that paper /label.of radiator cap was gone. And Crack to radiator neck and some parts were lose as per mechanic. I keep coming back to this place since I live right down the road, but I can't justify it anymore. Staff is friendly and they're for the most part pretty fast, but the quality is consistently unacceptable. I received the Works wash just 20 minutes ago, and here are some of the photos of the exterior. I just can't go back anymore. Stealing "rewards" back from loyal customers! I am a local, and I go to Splash on Hope St. every couple of days because I belong to the member club. So they have been using a generic rewards app called "Thanx" with a system that provides a $15/month "reward" back to the user in the form of a coupon in the app. I keep putting quotes around "reward" because the club is expensive, so we are being "rewarded" for paying a lot of money. I guess you could say it was supposed to be a reward for loyalty. At the beginning, my rewards would stack up and I could take my 3rd car for a wash and use (for example) 3 rewards to get my car washed for no money out of pocket.... but I would be over-paying with rewards. For example, the wash would be $38, and I would use $45 in rewards to pay for it. Fine. I was happy with that. So last week I received an excited email from Splash stating that they are MOVING TO A NEW APP!! YAY! So you need to "spend" all of your rewards in the next 4 days or lose them all. Thanks for being a loyal customer! -Your Friends at Splash! What??? Ugh. So I take my car to Splash and they ask me if I want a Super Polish add-on for $25. I say "Sure", because I was intending to use up the rewards that THEY ASKED ME TO USE. At checkout, they tell me that I can only use 1 ($15 reward) at a time. I have 10 rewards in the app... $150 worth, and they won't let me use them, even though they ASKED ME TO USE THEM. So I end up paying an additional $10 for a service that I didn't really need anyway. So now I have 9 rewards ($135) that they are taking away from me for being a loyal customer. Today is the last day to use my rewards, apparently. And I can only use them if I pay more money for services I don't currently need. They can transfer existing rewards to the new app, but they are, I believe, choosing not to. I work in IT as a data integrations specialist, and I know how trivial it should be to export current customers, transform the data, and import them into the new system. They appear to be using this as an excuse to wipe out "reward debt" and clean the slate. This provides instant revenue for them by (in my opinion) picking the pockets of their "loyal" customers. (Dear Splash, I will handle this data import/export for you for as a 1099 contracted job for 25% of the total reward amount as payment. Your data will get transferred to the new system and you will keep a lot of happy customers, so your ROI will be extensive and lengthy.) Well, that about wraps it up for Splash. We will be cancelling our membership and figuring out some other way to solve the First World problem of (gasp!) keeping our cars clean. I would like to add that I am going to miss the people at Splash on Hope St. They have always been very kind and friendly. I want to make it clear that I do not dislike the people, only the practice of wiping out everyone's loyalty rewards. read more

Just when I thought there was a reliable local car wash I can trust... Been here a few times. Fairly acceptable job of cleaning the exterior of my car with only one negative. They always miss the complete back hatch. How does a total hand wash miss anything?? Well this time I told the guy at the drive up that his people missed the back hatch and that I had to go home and do it myself. After spending 24.00 for five minutes worth of work. This time ,however, they cleaned the hatch and totally missed the rims, as seen in the picture. Maybe training their workers to be more thorough is the answer. They get most of the dirt off some of the time but almost every time I go to this location they short me on what I was supposed to get.. Like today, they shorted me on a tire wash and tire bright..see photo.. And if its not something like skipping the tires its leaving a dirty dashboard or something else you don't notice right away when you drive off but notice when you get home.. The other thing is the menu of services are very confusing.. When you read it you eventually realize as the price goes up they're reducing certain services you'd think will be included in the next level up package, but its not.. I know I'm getting old when I say shit like this but I guess its like everything else...we're paying more for less of something and car wahes are like any other business trying to increase profit without increasing cost or value. I hate telling people how to do their jobs but I still had to point out a bunch of stains on the windows.. the door handles outside still had fingerprint that didn't get wiped, and The inside of the car was barely wiped down still had scuff marks on the door and they didn't even vacuum my trunk. When I left it felt it felt like getting out Of the shower and realizing I hadn't washed my rear and having to go back in. I saw mixed reviews and a mom recommended this place. So I tried it. There is only one way to drive in and you can't turn around. Once u get in there is a menu board. Look at it carefully and ask lots of questions...seems like there are some services that don't include exterior wash. I got the works and interior detail that is $60. It maybe $70? Got $10 off while the guy tried to sell me on the service then additional $5 for downloading app. They said it would take 20 mins or so...took longer. They did a good job. I also requested that they don't wash my weather mats since I saw them just throw it back in wet. I'll be back 6 pm - 8 pm for the $9.99 wash and free vacuum. I really needed the detailing today. I always try to give this place a try. The woman who works at the register is always SO nice but the people who "wash" the car seem to get really lazy. I paid $100 last time I was there and it's the 5th time they have done a horrible job. First of all, the guy when I first drove in promised to tape up a hole in one of my tail lights so that water wouldn't get in. Didn't. I didn't even mention this but it was broken from the last time I went there. A brush or something must've pulled a piece off. Left crumbs on the floor, inside of doors were dirty, rims dirty, and it was still filthy under the windshield wipers. I was standing outside watching them dry off my truck and saw one person tell another to wipe off the trunk door. She laughed, wiped off the smallest spot and went on to another car as if we don't pay money we don't have to get our cars washed properly. I regretted putting a tip in the box at that point. I called and the nice woman at the desk said I could come back and they would fix it but it was the end of the day, I had other obligations and it rained the next day anyway. This was my first visit to this car wash l, and I won't go back. The first employee I interacted with did not take the time to speak with me even when I told him it was my first time. It was poor customer service. The cheapest car wash is 25 dollars with tax included, which was not worth the money, and is expensive compared to other car washes. When I got my car back, the sunroof was sprayed, but not wiped down, the cup holders and console were not wiped down. I had a 2 items on my back seat, but the staff didn't take the time to move them slightly to vacuum the seats. The passenger chair was left in a random position. The front windshield was dirty. This place get two stars because even though there were several people in front of me, the wait wasn't that long and the second star is because my car did get washed. read more

I should have trusted the reviews of this place but I came here anyway. It seemed like a high tech car wash so I had high hopes. It was ridiculously expensive (about twice what I pay at other car washes in Stamford) and did a subpar job. Someone got some food on my back seat which is the main reason I went to get a car wash. My car came back to me with the food still on it. When I pointed it out, the guy wiped my seat down with the window spray he was using!! This is a brand new car that now needs some leather conditioner to get the residue off my seats. Lots of bugs on the windshield still and other debris on the car. This place needs to teach their workers how to clean and dry your car. They don't clean the front or the rear of the car well. Nor do they clean the side edges. And forget about your tires or rims. Unless you ask them they will not do it. On top of what they don't clean, I have to grab a rag and finish drying the car where ever they didn't. They do a bad job vacuuming, the windows aren't cleaned properly and they don't dry your car throughly so right after you pull out of their driveway the car is full of water spots. can I do less than 1 star? spent $200 here for a full detail and came home with more costs. They left the keys in my car and drained my battery. I didn't want to make a fuss so I waited patiently for them to jump the car (which I stood around for for 10 mins, no sense of urgency) and said nothing. Drove home and got back into my car and it wouldn't start again. They completely drained it. I called them back hoping to be compensated or receive some kind of customer service... nope. Greater than $20 for a car wash seems a bit like highway robbery to me. But, once we pulled in, there really was no turning back. I thought they were going to clean the inside, but they did not even wipe down the winter mats. I guess they windexed the windows, though. The actual washing part was fast- and they missed some areas of the roof. I was thankful for the towel dry, but they did miss some spots which left some spotting/streaks. They offered a 72 hour guarantee, so I went back. Two major complaints after going back: (1) the roof is still dirty - how is it possible that after two car washes they still did not clean the roof? (2) they almost did not honor the 72 guarantee because I had not stuck my 'Splash' bar code on my car. Apparently them scanning it is not sufficient, it has to actually be on the car. Since I do not expect to frequent this place, I was not about to stick a permanent bar code on my window. Too expensive. I was a customer there for a long time paid a monthly for $60 and tipped 5 $5 in the front and $5 in the back every time. I only kept my account because its close to my home. Not any more. They did not vacuum my entire car, did not clean the dashboard, did not DRY THE CAR, and did not clean the windows. Because of water spots, my car looks worse than it did when I got there.
