Waste of money. We got the exterior wash and when we got to our next destination the car looked terrible. The back didn't look washed at all. There were rag wipe marks all over. I went in for a car wash and detail. The work done was great. The problem is a month later my card was charged. The attendant literally signed me up for a monthly service without my consent, without my signature and without me knowing. No account was created. Nothing to indicate I was now enrolled. I get text notifications for any credit card transaction and saw I was charged for another wash. I called the Southbury location and was told I needed to come in, they would refund me but I need to sign a cancellation form because I must be enrolled . I asked why I need to sign a cancellation - where is the paperwork for me signing up? There was no paperwork or documentation. The attendant literally just signed me up to be billed monthly. I was able to get a refund but having been signed up for a service unlawfully, and needing to take time out of my day to sign a cancellation document to get refunded is not great customer service. I also am concerned for someone who is elderly or not as attentive to their credit card transactions. Horrible experience. read more

Came in for an oil change at the Southbury location. Staff were friendly and helpful. The service was quick and included a vehicle wash. Wash came with a vacuum and wipe down of interior plus cleaning of windows. All went well! The staff from start to finish were very polite. read more

This is more of the review for their 5 Star Auto Detail service center. I got my R1T coated with the Simoniz Diamond plate. They did a fantastic job at a fantastic price. I had ceramic coating done to my other car at more than triple the price and atleast from my detail oriented eyes they are the same. Shawn the owner does the work and he does a fantastic job. My car is never cleaned when I go there, I've been several times and the same result. I go every 6 or 8 months out of convenience, and I always get reminded Not to go back. I always have to clean my car afterwards when I get home. I could hardly see out my windshield with the sun this time because it was left dirty. And this place is more expensive than other car washes. I paid for under-wash and never saw the light go on for it. (?) You might as well go to a gas station car wash, seriously! (Not that I would, just saying). I know it's cold out and it was somewhat busy, not terrible, and I tip appropriately. Car wash was fine and the people are friendly. The problem started a month later when I was unexpectedly charged for their monthly membership. (I had been in only the one time and specifically asked for the single car wash.) I called and asked them to reverse since I never signed up for this; I was told I had to come back in *in person* to complete paperwork. I returned, filled out the paperwork, and was told that an employee was signing people up for memberships without permission. I waited two weeks for a refund that never came. I called them back and was told to give it another week. Another week -- no refund. I called again and was given a direct customer service number. I called that and was told that I should have called the number *first* since that was the only way to get a refund. I gave them all of my information AGAIN and asked to have a manager call me given how awful the entire 2+ month experience was for one car wash. My refund came but a call never did. read more

Probably the worst experience ever with this car wash. Pay top dollar (over $40) for what is suppose to be their highest level for a wash. Window on the interior not cleaned, Vacuum in the interior was much less than expected, Rims still dirty. When I ask for someone to look at the job that was done I get a snotty women telling me she paid extra attention to the detail. When asked for the manager he just defended the the work performed and both were extremely unprofessional. I can kick myself for going there because every time it's the same thing. The first time I brought my car to the Southbury location the outside of the car was still dirty on the back of the car...and I mean dirty like it had never been washed. And the windows on the inside were all streaky and I had to redo the front windshield myself when I got home it was smudged so badly. Apparently they used a dirty rag or no window cleaner. Since they are the only game in town I decided to give them a second try. It was EXACTLY the same level of horrible quality. They have a promotion for new costumer for half the price but what they won't tell you is it'll automatically debit your acct for the full price after the promotion is over. They won't tell you that you need to cancel it before the end of the month if you don't want to continue the service. They do a good job with the cleaning but they need to be thorough with the information as we are the costumer! read more

They only vacuumed the front of my suv so I had to ask for them to vacuum the whole thing (thought that would be a given) and they still did a horrible job. One of the men asked me to take a survey before I even saw my car which I thought was very sketchy. When I got home it barely looked like they washed my car. I reached out to get a refund and they refused and said I needed to drive back so they could see. I guess the customers not right at this business establishment. I'm not going to be inconvenienced for their screw up. If you have subpar standards for customer service and you are ok with overspending to get a car wash that leaves your vehicle covered with soap residue, then this is the place for you. I paid for the works extra wash and for my interior to be wiped down, to include my all weather mats. I live only a mile and a half from the car wash and when I returned home and got out to look at the vehicle, I realized the entire right side was covered with soap residue that I've never been wiped off. The mats in the back of my car were never washed. I am mediately turned back to bring this to the car wash attendance attention. He informed me that I would have to get back in line, which at this point had about eight cars sitting in it. I would have to wait another half an hour or more to have my car properly cleaned, even though I already paid in full for the service that was not provided. The employee was incredibly rude and dismissive. I would recommend driving somewhere else to get your car washed even though this is the only one in Southbury. I guess when you're the only game in town it's easy to treat people however you want and expect them to return. Look at their overall Yelp rating and that tells the story. read more

Staff were sufficiently pleasant, however, I paid $70 for the works and a super interior and was greatly disappointed. I walked over when they were done with the interior and it didn't look like the outside was washed at all. They, somewhat begrudgingly, ran it back through the wash with the result being the same. On top of it they didn't dry it the second time or apply tire shine again. When I got in to drive away I noticed the interior barely looks like they touched it. After years of disappointment, today was the day I tried calling their corporate offices to ask what the deal was and was told I couldn't speak to anyone just a rude customer service agent who seemed overly happy knowing she provided absolutely no help whatsoever. If you're thinking about going to splash for a car wash you'll be better off waiting for it to rain and run up and down the highway a couple of times while taking out your frustration by yelling out the window at the raindrops. You'll get the same result. Negative 17 out of 5 stars. Everyone's expectations are different, so I f you've never been, give them a shot once. If you're happy, great but if you're dissatisfied know that's the norm not a bad day. read more

Watch your credit cards for unauthorized charges!! My husband and I have tried Splash Car Wash in Southbury on a few occasions, but every time we are disappointed. The work was substandard at best. So, we swore to never use them again a couple of years ago. Which is why we were so surprised to see recurring charges on a card of ours dating back to November 2021 totaling over $3,000! I called Splash and spoke to Emily (who was very nice and was as helpful as she could be) and was told that the charges were for a wash memberships, but there were no vehicles listed for those memberships and that they had never been used. I requested the membership paperwork for them and was told that she'd have to get her manager involved because she didn't have access to the actual paper files. She took my email and phone number and said to expect the paperwork in the next day or so. I followed up for over a week to no avail. No manager ever emailed me nor called me and each time I called I just got told that they were still working on it. I got the hint that there was no intent for Splash to email me membership paperwork because at no point did either of us sign up for a membership and contacted our credit card fraud department. Happy to say that within two weeks of opening the fraud case, we have ALL of our money returned and a block from any future charges from Splash. Not a sustainable way to do business. This is a "quick wash" car wash only. If you want a detailing service DO NOT go here. I paid $70 for interior detailing and a wash on the outside. when i got in my car it looked like every part of my interior was cleaned with the same product which is a big no no. the Plastic parts of the dash were foggy and streaky. The leather was GREASY. My steering wheel was slipping everywhere. Needed to go home and clean all my smooth surfaces with the correct product and then they shined. Also had to clean all the grease off my steering wheel. i waited an hour for all of this, cant make it up. By the time i got my car i was just grateful to be out of there. this place is fine for a quick wash but if you want your interior cleaned do not come here. read more

12/29/20 after a long trip to Miami Beach and back to Connecticut it was definitely time to wash and detail our SUV. Having our dog on the trip with us was great. So as you can imagine with the dog hair left behind on the seats, the sand and grit from our shoes, the French fries and Starbucks green cup stopper hiding between/under the seat (you know exactly what I'm talking about, LOL) it was time for a wash. This location really done a fantastic job getting our suv back to looking new inside and out. The $57.00 was so well worth it that we took our other suv up for the same service. I had two issues at this car wash within a few months. The last issue will now cause me to never go back to this car wash and I caution everyone else to go elsewhere. Within the past few months I had an interior detailing of my car. They did an ok job but the issue that really aggravated me was that I was told to come down to pick up my vehicle by 4:30 because they close at 5. I dropped my car off at noon. I came down at 4:30 and was told it would be done shortly. I ended up waiting way over an hour and had to cancel a work meeting. When the car was finally done, it was just ok. There was still dirt/dust on my steering column. I did not tip anyone because I was mad. The next time I took my vehicle there to be washed. One of the employees asked me if I tipped anyone for the detailing job I had done. This was unacceptable. I decided I would just be limiting my visits to the quick external drive thru washes Just recently, I brought one of our other vehicles there for a quick drive thru wash and one of the kids tried to forcibly fold my side mirrors before I could wave him off and tell him it was electronic and I needed to do it from inside the vehicle. Two days later when I was driving to LI, that mirror broke off. I just got a quote of $290 to have it fixed. Needless to say, I will not be back to this car wash ever. Not worth it.
