Fantastic! Great original Thai, they have some dishes that I haven't tried before and the staff are very friendly.

The service is impeccable and the staff, some of the best in town. Never has there been a time where I've gone to Thai At Grovely and felt I was being rushed out or thought that the food was not as good as the last time I visited. When I go here, I make sure I invite some friends so they too can spread the word. For me nothing beats, for starters, the chicken satays skewers. The chicken is so moist and plump and the sauce is so viscous and chock full of peanut. For mains I always order the green chicken Curry. Its served with fresh vegetables and the meat is always tender and never overcooked. Love this place and you will too.

The place itself is modern and comfortable, not busy at all when I visited (a Saturday night). The menu was divided into soups, salads, chef specials, curries, stir-fries, noodles and rice as well as vegetarian options. New to Thai dishes and not keen on spicy dishes, I opted for pork pad thai with chicken skewers for entree. The food didn't take long at all which was great. The chicken skewers were accompanied with a delicious peanut sauce; I definitely recommend it. The pad thai was large, with a side of salad, sprinkled with nuts and a generous amount of pork. It was full of flavour and quite filling however a tad salty for my personal taste. In saying that, I left satisfied and couldn't finish my plate due to the portion size.

Brilliant, whoever came up with those names, I love it. So when I was puttling around the northside of Brisbane, didn't even know that there was a suburb called Gaythorne by the way, and when my boyfriend now husband at the time told me, I actually asked him if he was joking. True story. So being fans of the Thai cuisine, I was out to search for a mean Pad Thai, my weakness. Always with chicken. Amazing Thai sits perfectly on the corner of Samford and Gaythorne road. The owner is this cute little Thai lady who really does do everything. There are a few wait staff sometimes, but the shop isn't that big and they can get away with just 1 or 2 extras on busy nights. The Money Bags in this place was my first experience. The water chestnuts, the minced chicken meat, the crunchy fresh ingredients wow. Then we had the Pad Thai, a Green Curry with Chicken and a Beef Stirfry. There is a difference between throwing things into a mess together and frying them at a high heat to throwing the ingredients at the right times to make the perfect flavour and combination. Amazing Thai do serve amazing food. The food tastes fresh, tastes quality and tastes like Thailand. You can usually get a table here, but on a busy night, try making a booking first as the restaurant only seats a small amount of people. True to their name, gold star all the way.

I like a restaurant where the menu kept simple and you don't have to second-guess your choices because there are a lot of similar meals. Little Thai does this and what they deliver is bang on. My favourites to order from here are the Satay Chicken skewers that have a thick sauce full of spice and not light on the peanuts and the MUSTsaman curry with its rich coconut sauce that is heavy on the meat and potatoes. Sometimes I'll fork out for the Spicy Fried Rice that is a winner. On the occasions I've dined in the staff are attentive and courteous and do all they can to make your experience enjoyable. Past the makeshift counter, you can see directly into the kitchen where the cooks prepare meals with a relaxed and carefree smile. Don't worry, its all good. If there's one thing that I've learned about Thai restaurants and takeaways, it's never judge the establishment by the way it appears. When I first arrived, my initial though was, I knew it was too good to be true. It was only that afternoon when my wife and I oow'd and ahh'd over a new thai menu found in our letterbox. We'd tried everything around the area and were happy to find a new place to indulge in. We ordered and were told our pick up would be ready in twenty minutes. This was great. When served at the counter, I was told that our food would be another five minutes. This was forgivable. When the plastic containers came out, steam building in the transparent containers, I took notice of the vibrant colours of the curries and warm beef salad we had ordered. That was reassuring. Arriving at home and opening our dinner, we were surprised that there was a genuine fresh look to the meals. The aromas themselves indicated that our meals hadn't been taken from some big pot of premade food. Compared to similar takeaways Chinpala Kitchen, doesn't serve as much, but makes it up in pure contentment through oral satisfaction.

I am constantly trying out new Thai restaurants hoping to get this holy grail of combinations. When I spotted Siri Thai on my local shopping strip I figured I'd give it a crack. We ordered take away from the very reasonably priced menu. The entree of coconut prawns was spectacular which was a great start. Unfortunately it all got a little standard from that point on. The red curry my partner ordered lacked depth of flavour, and my Thai beef salad was too strong on shallot and too weak on herbs. The beef rump had also been cut with the grain of the meat, not against it, so it was extremely tough - I was actually unable to eat a few pieces due to this. The serves were generous, and with an extra addition of herbs from my garden the second night of eating was better. This is a good local Thai restaurant, but I think I'll keep searching for the ultimate Thai culinary experience.

From our experience the dine in meals are far superior, with generous serves and authentic flavours. Whilst it would be nice to take the same meal home, sitting in a room painted royal purple with Thai embroidery and photographs of the King on the wall only serve to encourage your senses to entertain the idea that they might be on holiday. The friendly service of the family owned business only adds to the atmosphere and makes you feel welcome whenever you choose to be there. My absolute favourite are the curry puffs. Beautiful fluffy melt in the mouth pastry that is reminiscent of spring onion puffs from the Flower Drum in Melbourne (yes it's that impressive), I could quite possibly stop at these. But add in the best plate of what we describe as dirty pad thai (aka real flavours from a well seasoned wok) and our taste buds are in heaven. Our other meals of curries, prawns, Singapore noodles and moneybags have all come up trumps for whomever we take here to dine with us. So my wife was keen to have a Thai meal for her birthday recently but there were a range of factors making it difficult for us to travel closer to town for one of the well knowns: soccer practice, me working late etc etc. But our neighbors had tried a Thai less than a mile (and walking distance) from home. What could go wrong? (Remembering my most recent experience gave me chills) Turns out, a young Thai couple have set up in the ruins of an old coffee shop nearby and the night was a great experience! Luckily we had phoned to see if they would be open after training as she said we needed to book. On arrival at 7:30, only one of the eight tables was set with cutlery... But over the next hour or so the tables filled and people arrived to collect their take away. One chef, great fresh, timely delivered food and a free dish for my wife's birthday! Not only that, the hostess then brought out a complimentary deep fried ice cream with sparkler to celebrate! If you've read my reviews, I'm pretty reluctant to give out five stars, but I'm making an exception this time for a new family run business, out in the Brisbane 'burbs who are doing it right.
