Above and beyond…read more After a thunderstorm took our well off line, Water Dan was one of the  repairmen that we called.  He is a one man op and busy as he was he answered his phone right away.  He spoke to my husband, asked him a few questions, and based on his experience suggested it was likely the relay switch.  He said he thought the earliest he could come was the next day.  I told him we had someone coming this morning, but that we didn't think it was going to go well.       Though Water Dan didn't know he would get the business, he was in no hurry on the phone and helped us out as best he could. I was very impressed with his willing to help even over the phone.   As it turned out, the first person we called was a nightmare and we called Water Dan back.  Again he answered right away and said he "might" be able to get us in at the end of the day, no promises, but surely the next morning if not. Well, he did come at the end of the day and when he arrived he did some checks on the control box and was able to confirm his suspicions.  Now, the relay switch is inside the control box and the previous  person wanted to change the whole box, which costs a lot more than the relay switch. He changed out the relay switch and our water pump was working again in no time.  He very patiently explained everything he was doing as he was doing it and only fixed what needed fixing.  He cheerfully answered the ton of questions we had. In this day and age when everybody is in a hurry, it was refreshing to encounter someone who was not and gave us all the time we needed, and then some. He has excellent customer service and a very high work ethic.  Hopefully I won't have any further well issues, but if I do, he will be the first person I call. A+++++++++++++++++++++ Thank you Mr. Water Dan.

He also had to install a new jet pump and pressure tank. While our old jet pump was only 7 yrs old- the well had run out of prime several times without us realizing it over the last five years. I was not surprised when he said the ball bearings were going bad. Also, our well would become clogged every spring and need to be cleaned out. McLean cleaned it out and I could not believe the amount of water pressure we are now getting! My pump actually cycled off while the sprinklers were still going! I have never had that happen with my old well. Very pleased! As for the cost-I felt it was more than fair! I live in Hammock Bay- Freeport and we struggle To find skilled workers who are willing to come out and do the work. I have spoken to several laborers and come to find out- homeowners want to haggle and complain about the cost. Both the "sprinkler man" and McLean (they did not know one another) told me several times how much everything would cost for each of them to do the work I needed done on my lawn system. It blows my mind that homeowners want to give horrible ratings and haggle about price! Call someone else if your not happy about the cost BEFORE the work is done! Absolutely ridiculous!

He arrived, spent about 5 minutes and said you need a new switch (which I had suspected). He grabbed one from his truck, spent about 15 minutes and said that will be $350.00!!!!!!! I priced a 1.5HP box control and the highest price I could find was $70. That is $280 for less than half an hour.....even considering the 1/2 hr. drive, it is obscene. It was a week day during normal business hours. When my mouth dropped, he just filled out the invoice and threw it at me. Very unprofessional, surly and a rip off!!! DO NOT CALL them if you have any other choice. Sorry I did not get this posted earlier, but did not think of Yelp for service, had been trying to figure how to get it on Angie's list, but they are not listed.

    Malloys Well Service & Irrigation

This is literally one of the BEST companies that I've dealt with in not only this area but in any…read morearea that I've lived. I called pretty late the night before because my well pump stopped putting out water and left a message because there wasn't much that could be done at that time. I was called back early the next day and promised I'd have someone be at my house about lunchtime. That absolutely happened. What's crazy is that I also called another company that starts with a "C" and almost did an emergency call but instead was told they'd have someone come by the next morning.. well, that didn't happen so when Malloy's called me back, I was all over it. It's wild to me that the other company didn't show up before Malloy's, considering i had a full conversation right after the water went out. More so, Malloy's told me what they thought it could be over the phone and it was a fairly inexpensive fix compared to Culligan. They told me to take a picture of the pump before they even came out, which was a $1.2k job. Malloy's didn't do that but rather let me know the pump and the water tank was good and it seemed air was getting into the system...a wildly cheaper job and instead of probably having a new pump and some pipes re-run by the other company and probably paying out over $1.6k or maybe more. Malloy's worried about only charging me for what I should pay for and it's sad but it floored me because that's such a rarity today. We will eventually have them redo a well for us because I now don't trust any other well company. My only regret about them is that I wished they did plumbing as well because I need some work done in that area and need a company I know that I can trust and that I know is honest, works hard, and communicates...and also delivers on what they promise. To break it down into pros and cons: Pros: Great value concerning cost (cheaper parts and labor) On time Promises made, promises kept Diligent/hard workers Left yard in as good of shape as when they got there Let me be as involved or as hands-off in the job as I wanted (they didn't care if I watched them the whole time) Got the job done and weren't going to leave until it was fixed (thanks guys!) Cons: None... Overall, I wish a lot of other companies would be less greedy and be a lot more like Malloy's. They're a bit of a throwback concerning customer service and costs. Absolutely highly recommended!

We had several well-known water services come out, and Non offered a solution other than a Deepwater well. Malloy was the first one to come out and actually test the water, and was able to use our old existing well and install a new pump which saved us several thousand dollars. we couldn't have been happier with Jimbo and his entire crew. They were on time and even worked Saturday to get it up and running. One of the best service experiences we've ever had. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

This would've been the perfect opportunity for someone to take advantage of us as we had literally no idea what was going on since we were thousands of miles away. Stacy looked at our well and discovered the issue. We had a connection on a switch that needed some cleaning. He could've easily replaced the part and charged us more but instead he took the time to clean the connection and restore the water service. When we came back home at 2am, the last thing we would've wanted to deal with is not having water but thanks to Burkett and Sons Well Service, we were able to shower away the airport germs and rest without delay. Burkett and Sons also helped us previously to install an iron removing filter system which I would recommend for anyone who is dealing with high iron in their water. Stacy and his team are knowledgeable, efficient, and incredibly kind. I've spoken with his wife multiple times as well and she is amazing! Highly recommend them for all your well water needs!
