When I entered his office and he shook my hand he indicated his intern (? ) and introduced him as his son though the young man was clearly not his son and was very uncomfortable by that reference. Can you say "awkward moment". Now I had arrived having just come from cleaning out my garage so I was wearing the most well used clothes I had After all its a dirty job so why would I wreck perfectly good clothes. He took one look at me and then took me across the hall to the exam room. He checked out the reason I was there then left the room with his intern and RIGHT OUTSIDE THE DOOR he explained to him that the issue is common in "people like that who wear dirty clothes or don't bathe often enough" WTF? He returns from around the door and asks me "did you hear all that? " I simply nodded. I was at a complete loss for words! What kind of doctor would treat a patient in such an extremely condescending manner based on a presumption that that person is unclean? Disgraceful. If he had bothered to ask me any questions he would have found out I am a Project Manager for a large software company bringing home 6 figures. If you find yourself recommended to this doctor beg to be referred to another one, or, you better stop whatever you are doing, take the time to shower and put on your Sunday best, or you too could be filed under undesirables.

I opted for the invasive type of surgery (not the keyhole type) as the percentage of success was more important to me than a slight scar. Now the scars are almost invisible. Recently, my right ring finger developed what is called "trigger finger", where gripping causes the joint to snap shut but not open without help, and is very painful. Dr Patel suggested a cortisone shot first, to loosen the tendon in its sheath, then maybe surgery later. So far, so good. Hand and finger are behaving normally and I hope this will continue. The wait times are very, VERY long; I have had to wait to see someone for more than three hours. However, they will see both myself and my babies at the same time if I need them to. Also, they will let me bring up more than one concern at a time, i.e., a complaint like an illness or injury and an unrelated prescription refill. Some clinics make you come back another time for the second concern. Also, both Dr. Demian and Dr. Rezazeda are attentive and thorough. I have never felt dismissed or overlooked by either of them. So long wait times mean you also aren't rushed through your visit! I'm taking a star off for the cramped, overheated and dingy exam rooms.

The wait times are atrocious, even when you have an appointment. The clinic closes at 2pm, and even earlier when they have filled the patient quota for the day. And the women behind the counter are indifferent at best. Dr. Rezazeda has requested that the ladies up front book appointments for me at specialists on several occasions, but they almost never get it done. I waited months before finally going back and requesting tests for my wrist again.
