Comparing a business to a standard rather than between two alternatives in the same space. Which is why you may rate a Waffle House with 4 or 5 stars and a fancy brunch place with 2 or 3 stars. It depends on how well they hit their intended mark. Quality Foods is not trying to be the Fresh Market. They are more like a combination between Aldi (good prices and quality) and a Farmers Market like the Tomato Vine in Berea. They have a full selection of groceries at very reasonable prices, but also you will find cardboard Gaylord bins full of large bunches of beautiful, local grown, collard greens. And also the things you might cook along with them, such as a seasoning chunk of ham, hamhocks or even split pigs feet. I even found a drink that I had never heard of, Camaronazo - which is a tomato, shrimp drink similar to Clamato. This is a staple for a popular Mexican cocktail called a Chelazo (mixed with a cold beer). Today I was on the customer service line waiting to play the lottery. At the time the person behind…read morethe desk was involved with a couple that couldn't speak English. After not being acknowledged and no end in sight I left and spent my money somewhere else. On the way out I ran into the manager who was blowing leaves away from the store. He wished me a good day. I told him would be better at the customer service if people could speak English. I advised him his customers couldn't he told me that everyone gets treated the same. I highly disagree. In today's society if you don't have a bilingual behind your desk while their situation is figured out everyone else is waiting unnecessarily. At the very least someone should have come and waited on those of us that were waiting and not being acknowledged instead of allowing a situation that seemed to be going nowhere to affect those of us painfully waiting. This is a normal an excellent store with a great staff very welcoming and service oriented today but today was a failure. If you want "treat everyone the same". You have to know your audience and be able to help when a unique situation arises but when the store is outside doing entry level work someone could needing assistance inside they aren't going to get.

When I saw an elderly man sitting in one of the electric carts and it was beeping very loudly at him and not moving. I asked him if I needed to go get him another and he said yes please. So I went and got the only other one that was there. It had the sign on it that said ready. I unplugged it from the wall and rode it over to him. As I get there the battery on the second one goes from green to low yellow so I told him that one was going to die soon as well. He said that's okay honey I'm going to check out now. So he starts riding it to the check out. Gets about 10 feet from me and that one dies. The part that makes me so ill is there are people all around walking right by him, EVEN EMPLOYEES OF WALMART. So I don't notice that the second scooter dies until I come up the next aisle and he is sitting in the middle of the large walkway looking lost. So I ask him if I get you a regular buggy can you walk to check out and he says yes. At this time a Walmart employee is standing behind him PLAYING ON HER PHONE. Come on Walmart do better.

She demanded ID from three older Hispanic men even though only one of them was purchasing a beer. The other two were simply shopping. She claimed it was "store policy" to ID everyone in the group, but when another customer questioned her about it, she suddenly did not ask that person for ID. The men appeared well over 30-40 and looked like they had just gotten off work. Instead of completing their purchase, they quietly left the store. Watching them walk out because of how they were treated was upsetting. If this is the type of treatment customers receive at this location, I will not be returning.

As is usual for QT, lots of drink and snack options including their made-to-order kitchen and the Freezoni slushy drinks. Inexpensive fuel and an outside seating area to enjoy your food.
