I told him one thing, the location of my pain, and he was able to tell me what else I was feeling (he was shockingly right!) and he explained the anatomy behind the pain and the cause of it. Dr. Thornton is extremely knowledgeable about the bones, muscles and nerves he is addressing and he takes as much time as the patient wants to explain, answer questions and address concerns. I did not feel rushed and it was very clear that he was trying to help me in as few appointments as possible and he did NOT drag out my treatment. So I tried this practice and I have been very pleased how my body likes the activator method to stay in alignment. Before I moved to this area from Kansas City area I went to a chiropractor who uses Blair method and the activator method is the closest I have found to the Blair method. Once my body got back into alignment I have only had to visit 2-4 times a month depending on what is going on in my life. The three doctors at Advanced Health are very good at what they do. I have my preferences of which doctor I like to use, but they are all good. One thing this practice does is to offer massage therapy at a very reasonable price. In the event of a muscular injury, which I'm dealing with currently, they are also set up to use ultrasound on the effected area. I have found these additional services have helped me stay in alignment. So even though my adjustments are covered by insurance after deductible I pay out of pocket for both the massage and ultrasound. This is a gentle chiropractic practice. I feel they truly care that the patient gets better.

Dr. Moss is truly among the best!!…read more Chiropractic care is an essential part of good health, but not all Chiropractors are the same. My wife and I had several visits with a bad one 4 years ago. A bad one can literally destroy your spine! My wife was very active and in good overall health when we went in for routine care. After a few visits she was clearly not responding well, so that Dr said that she simply needed more adjustments. After a few more visits I took her to Doctor Moss for a second opinion. Doctor Moss saw right away that there was a serious problem and said "You need to get some imaging, something isn't right.". The imaging showed several herniated disks with her C4,5 so badly damaged that it had to be replaced. She's been predominantly bedridden since then because of unbearable nerve pain. The other chiropractor would have continued "care" until my wife was paralyzed or dead. I say that because he saw the same symptoms and kept twisting her spine while Doctor Moss saw it once and recognized that there was a problem. My wife and I both accredit Doctor moss with literally saving her life that first visit. Doctor Moss is a rare find. He does not force everything to Crack and send you off. Doctor Moss only adjusts what needs to be adjusted and he does it with care. It's obvious that he truly cares about his patience Health and well-being. Stop risking your health, and your life, with bad care, and go see Doctor Moss!!

So I went about it the old fashion way, I picked up the phone and started interviewing the people answering the phone for these doctors. This office was by far the best! The lady who answered the phone was friendly, informative and inviting. I love that the doctor was in business over 25+ years. We were able to get in the same day. The rates were very comparable to every other office I called. The office visit: the place is clean and adequate for a chiropractors office. I'm a stickler for restrooms at any place I go to. The good news, the restroom was spotless. The pride in ownership was evident. The actual adjustment: my son was the patient. His back had been bothering him for weeks after a snowboarding crash. Dr Mayo was great at explaining everything to him and easing his mind as to the issues. We left after about 30 minutes including the stimulus treatment he recommended as well. He is on the way to recovery and will be seeing this office regularly. Thank you very much for the visit today. This review is for Dr. Logan Cooper and his PA-C assistant. If you're considering hip replacement…read moresurgery by Dr. Cooper, I strongly suggest DON'T DO IT...until you've had a 2nd or even 3rd opinion by specialists who perform the (posterior) surgery. Dr. Cooper specializes in the (anterior) approach, boasting 6-week healing times on average. It has now been a YEAR since my hip replacement. To this day my thigh, from my knee upward to my hip, is numb and the tendon damage by the incision hinders my ability to get dressed or walk short distances or even sleep. I live on painkillers, which offer some relief, but overall I am much worse off than before the surgery and I may never recover. 7 weeks of physical therapy did absolutely nothing to aid with these issues. To literally add insult to injury, I later discovered that Summit was billing my insurance for my follow up visits which were necessitated by the nerve and tendon damage. At first Dr. Cooper and his PA-C assistant, Joel Whiting, boasted about 6-week healing times...then it was "give it a few more months" then during my last follow up 6 months ago I was told "well sometimes it can take a year to heal." I was totally blown-off at that point leaving me with zero suggestions and zero empathy. I am in my 50's, average height, not overweight and have a muscular build. After multiple visits to another orthopedic surgeon outside of Summit, I was informed by that surgeon he does not do the anterior surgeries due to the increased chances of nerve and tendon damage. I highly recommend seeking multiple opinions and acquiring all the facts before making a decision!

I was very close to calling 911. I have never been to a chiropractor but my gut said to go. I didn't want to mask the injury with drugs I wanted to fix it! So I hopped on Yelp and Dr. Scores got me in within 30 minutes!!! Dr. Scoresby hooked me up into this chair/swing thing and holy moly instant relief. My pain walking in was a 10/10 and barley walking. I walked out with a 5/10!! I'm headed back for more tomorrow. When I got out of the chair I couldn't believe the difference. One of the other patients there said, "Isn't it the best?! I love that chair!" Me too girl, ME TOO! Dr. Scoresby said there are less than 100 of these in the US. I'm so glad I just happened across their info. They have a patient for life! Update: (The next day). I hung out for a while in the chair. He did some stretches on me while I was in the chair. Then adjusted my lower back. Mind you, I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO A CHIROPRACTOR. I'm legit sold. From how severe I hurt my back yesterday, there is NO WAY if I went to the ER and just got some muscle relaxers and pain meds that I would be better the next day. Today after my appointment I feel great! I have a minor pinch in my lower back. 1/10. Walked in with about a 5/10 today. I compressed my disc and Dr Scoresby worked his magic. I'm headed back in a couple days to work on it again. He is a preferred provider under my Cigna health coverage. So the money spent went to my deductible and the fee schedule is not an astronomical amount! Totally beats an ER visit billed!!!!! I dropped just a little over $100 over these two days. The ER would have need a few grand and zero relief. Seriously THANK YOU DR SCORESBY!!!!!!
