My wife and I had several visits with a bad one 4 years ago. A bad one can literally destroy your spine! My wife was very active and in good overall health when we went in for routine care. After a few visits she was clearly not responding well, so that Dr said that she simply needed more adjustments. After a few more visits I took her to Doctor Moss for a second opinion. Doctor Moss saw right away that there was a serious problem and said "You need to get some imaging, something isn't right.". The imaging showed several herniated disks with her C4,5 so badly damaged that it had to be replaced. She's been predominantly bedridden since then because of unbearable nerve pain. The other chiropractor would have continued "care" until my wife was paralyzed or dead. I say that because he saw the same symptoms and kept twisting her spine while Doctor Moss saw it once and recognized that there was a problem. My wife and I both accredit Doctor moss with literally saving her life that first visit. Doctor Moss is a rare find. He does not force everything to Crack and send you off. If you're considering hip replacement…read moresurgery by Dr. Cooper, I strongly suggest DON'T DO IT...until you've had a 2nd or even 3rd opinion by specialists who perform the (posterior) surgery. Dr. Cooper specializes in the (anterior) approach, boasting 6-week healing times on average. It has now been a YEAR since my hip replacement. To this day my thigh, from my knee upward to my hip, is numb and the tendon damage by the incision hinders my ability to get dressed or walk short distances or even sleep. I live on painkillers, which offer some relief, but overall I am much worse off than before the surgery and I may never recover. 7 weeks of physical therapy did absolutely nothing to aid with these issues. To literally add insult to injury, I later discovered that Summit was billing my insurance for my follow up visits which were necessitated by the nerve and tendon damage. At first Dr. Cooper and his PA-C assistant, Joel Whiting, boasted about 6-week healing times...then it was "give it a few more months" then during my last follow up 6 months ago I was told "well sometimes it can take a year to heal." I was totally blown-off at that point leaving me with zero suggestions and zero empathy. I am in my 50's, average height, not overweight and have a muscular build. My body was breaking down fast and all my doctors and specialists told me I would only get worse with time. I couldn't drive, I couldn't go in public without wearing a mask to prevent a severe reaction from laundry soap on other people's clothing, hairspray smells, whiffs of cleaners or perfume or any other chemical smell would send my body into shut down mode. He was able to address the problem I had in my spine, explained what it was he was going to do, and then fulfilled the operation. He also was able to explain in easy bite sized terms the issues I was having, and how to remedy them. I have been to many chiropractors for most of my 70 years. Also brought my 4 kids to them from time to time when needed From Massachusetts , to Albq. New Mexico, to San Jose Ca. to now Idaho Falls. And I have to say that he is the best one I have been to. He is up to date with all the new technique's and take his time with you. Usually I was rushed out by the Doc after a treatment to leave room for the next patient . But not so with DR Scoresby. He takes the time to listen to my complains and also if a person needs X-rays he takes his time to explain it all to you. Also during the time he was treating me I sprained my ankle. I just three weeks ago had a rotator cuff repairs with calcium deposit clean in the joint. Dr. Liljenquist is just a pleasure to work with. Both with my wife and myself he goes beyond what you would expect to keep you informed through the entire process. On my shoulder he even took pics taken during surgery so I could see exactly what was done. He is always happy and upbeat with just a great bedside manor. I could not recommend him any more!
