Our first project involved solving a major drainage problem for us where water from uphill was undermining our concrete patio (it has settled, was cracked and water had started to pass under it). Uphill of the patio they created a catch basin with clay, fabric and washed stone and a 6" PVC pipe ... problem solved. Two months later the second project created a 30' walkway along the side our garage inside our solid vinyl fence running from the bottom of our deck steps to exit gate, having to remove a lot of soil to create a grade for the pavers they installed; they also planted 4 Crepe Myrtle trees to improve our privacy. They were on time and the quality of the work repeatedly exceeded our expectations as they expertly solved a number of problems caused by soil pressure bowing out the bottom of our fence. They were also very responsive to questions and offered great solutions.

The house was built in 1952 and water had been penetrating down from the missing chimney cap. The freezer and thaw cycle had dislodged all 3 flues. He removed and replaced all. He turned a disaster into a success. It is not often that you can say 'exceeded expectations' but that's what he did.

The quote was $4826.00 which half was due as a deposit before the work began. She came out with one other person. The only equipment they had were basic grinders that we have in the garage. It took several days longer than she said but that was not the issue. After she got into the project, she said that she didn't realize how difficult some of the places were and we would benefit from a "special" product that she has to pickup from Charlotte. She ended up charging us an additional $1332.25. She didn't calculate the amount of product needed and the additional time, etc. She was paid in full upon finishing. Within a month of finishing, the concrete was chipping and cracking again. I reached out to her and she didn't respond. When she finally did, I explained and sent pictures to her. She didn't seem to understand why it was happening and offered to "paint" or "resurface" for the lack of a better word. I explained to her we had other companies come out since her and they all said what she had done was completely wrong and the area should never have been done the way she did. She actually made it worse by the steps by adding a large amount of concrete making it the area heavier to cause more sinking. When this was explained to her and asked how to rectify the situation because we already paid her over $6,000 she only said she needed to come see it. I told her any day after 4pm as we would be home from work. She has never responded. If I could post pictures, I would. Come to find out, this company was HER HUSBAND'S. They have divorced recently and she has KEPT the company and tried to run it. Clearly he was the one who ran the business and had the skill set. She knows how to talk the talk but clearly not how to do the work. What she did is completely illegal, shameful and she ought to have to pay everyone back that she has done this to. We are not the first and won't be the last.

Broke her contract with…read moreme, took my deposit and kept it and would not return my deposit of $5,500, even after I took her to Small Claims Court and won a judgement against her on January 22, 2023.
