The menu was diverse and so we all ordered various dishes which were pretty good. The service was excellent. Our group was pleased with our meals and cocktails. We brought lots of snacks and sandwiches also. Although there are only 10 seats, there are plenty of extra seating areas on the cozy boat. We had 19 guests with us. Captain Dave and first Mate Michelle were great hosts. We hooked up our phone to their Bluetooth speaker to play all our favorite songs. We went on the Sunday afternoon Cruise, which took us out along the shoreline out to the Island area and back. It was a lot of fun, laughs, and an overall enjoyable afternoon.

Don't let Mark and Karl give you the warm fuzzy feeling that they will stand behind their products as they certainly won't. We purchased a used trailer from them and was told by Mark that it was a VERY reliable trailer. We therefore made the 2 1/2 hour trip from NJ to CT to purchase it and 4 weeks later, when our boat came out of storage and the marina put our boat on it, the whole front axle snapped in half from rust rot that Diamond had covered up. My husband, who is disabled, was not able to crawl under the trailer to inspect it when he arrived. I spoke with Mark extensively on the phone and my husband asked him about the trailer prior to the purchase and he assured us both it is free from defects and is a very sound trailer. What a load of bull. I guess they LOVE taking advantage of handicap people. When my husband signed the bill of sale, the owner Karl said verbally, "we stand behind everything we sell...if you have a problem with anything, I will take care of it". We called Mark and Karl immediately and not only did they try to charge us $600 for transportation back to them as the trailer wasn't safe to drive but only offered $3000 of the $3,700 sale price AND they said they would only apply it in credit toward a new trailer which would cost $4500. Meanwhile, I was accumulating extra storage fees from the marina which wound up costing me $447 . What a nightmare. So we would have been out almost $2K if they would have "helped us out and stood behind their name" as they put it. Yeah, thanks but no thanks. Since we needed to purchase another trailer immediately to avoid more storage fees, we got one locally for $500 less than what he was quoting us for a brand new Venture trailer. A TOTAL nightmare dealing with this company and they didn't even have the decency to offer to reimburse us for any of this!!! I would NEVER EVER recommend this place.

They also didn't have the mast with the boat, so he luckily realized this asked them to hunt it down. My hauler of course charged me $50 for his time waiting. I approached Port Milford about offsetting this expense, which I feel was the obvious right thing to do, given that the extra charge was 100% due to them going back on what they promised me. They declined to make it right. This place charges a lot of money for their services. They have a reputation in the community for being just about the most expensive place one can store a boat in the area. And I don't mean I heard one time from one guy. I mean I know a lot of Milford boaters, and I know only one willing to pay their rates. This would be fine, if they didn't also have a reputation for being flaky on things like this. With my brief experience, they confirmed what I had heard around town. UPDATE: Employee Bill Wolf made the following unprofessional comment on my Facebook review: "I saw your "Boat",and its no wonder you post bad reviews over a $50 bill." Maybe I'm not wealthy enough to be entitled to good service from Port Milford?

He takes just as good of care with his boat as he does with his clients, and is super accommodating. *The boat was very clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. Had a microwave and stove! Lots of space on the table and seating around it. *Location of the boat was VERY CONVENIENT!! Had a parking lot with lots of space and the marina also had ice (great when you have a cooler/in need of ice for drinks). TIP: Captain Steve was really kind in offering to help us with our cooler, and offered to bring a cart/wagon to put the cooler on to make it easier to bring on the walk to where the boat is docked. *Captain Steve: Not only was he informative about the areas, but he was also a pleasure to have a conversation with. My friends and I had a fantastic experience and enjoyed our time sailing and relaxing , and will definitely sail with captain Steve again this summer!

Despite my best efforts in the past to do Fall train rides, which turned out to be disappointing only because there was never any good colors on trees, this by far is the very best fall foliage experience I've ever had in my life. You get great views of the tree color transitions and just great photo opportunities. It does get cold on the water so bring a jacket. Experience is as excellent as last time with beverages and snacks for purchase. If you enjoy fall colors, great scenery and boats then you have to do this at least once.
