As a dog owner, I am only partially happy with the Theo van Gogh park on IJburg (named after the…read moreDutch film maker). There are no dog parks on IJburg, so a bit jealous of this one, as I can only circle around it. No dogs allowed! (This is probably a good thing). This park is really a large playground, where kids can play football, basketball and other sports. There are several play areas, with different activities, suitable for kids of different ages. When the weather allows it, the many schools around the park use it as playground too. It's nice to have this available in this neighborhood, with so many children.
