So, we've been going here for quite a while. The owner (I think?) has been consistently rude to us every time that we've been there, chastising us for the potential of leaving too late (which we have never done). This time around, she was even ruder when I brought my service dog in for the first time. This is incredibly ableist, especially considering that he literally just laid under the table, didn't move, didn't make a sound. Absolutely no reason for her to be acting this way. He is not a pet, he is working and I don't appreciate the snide looks to imply otherwise.
She also continuously acts like everyone in the establishment is somehow in her way. The amount of times that she has almost shoved brooms into people or just passive aggressively stares at folks because they're in her way when she could use her big girl words is so very high.
On top of this, there's so many passive aggressive signs everywhere. They literally multiple like rabbits, and I swear that there's at least 3 new ones when we get there. This is to the point that my partner and I consistently joke that something we do will somehow become a sign. If it requires that many, make a board with all of the rules. We don't need 15 pieces of paper taped to one window.
Their prices have also skyrocketed the longer that we've used them, almost doubling in price. And for machines that have a lot of issues, I think that's really problematic. They literally have a sign on their dryers that's essentially "our dryers are finicky but that's okay :)". It's not. Your dryers shutting off randomly while people use them? You're stealing money. If I put in 12 minutes and the machine runs for 3-6, I'm going to have a problem.
Half the time, they also have out of order signs on like a third of their dryers too, so when they're super busy, maybe you won't even get a dryer! Who knows? It's like a really terrible roulette experience.
Overall, this place used to be fine. I enjoy the industrial washers and dryers but tbh, it's absolutely not worth it. Being treated negatively for several things completely out of my control--and sometimes for no reason--is entirely uncalled for. Machines shutting off mid cycle, so you're only kind of getting the time that you paid for, but maybe not is unacceptable.
TLDR; this place is overpriced with machines that often don't work right with no refunds, the owner is incredibly rude, and there are passive aggressive signs on every square inch of the place. Even if she doesn't think something in particular is wrong with you, she'll find a reason for you to be in her way. read more
