But the highlight of my visit was the kindness of other customers (3 different men). One must have seen me looking a bit lost and tried his best to explain to me what to do next in French. Then a young man who spoke some English offered to let me use his detergent when he saw me about to purchase some. As I was folding my laundry, I had a pleasant conversation (in English) with a man who runs a local B&B. It was a delightful experience!
