a half eaten sandwich on a plate
Kelly D.

Vegetariano. This has a eggplant , mozzarella cheese, basil pesto. This is the worst I've ever had from this truck. Burnt, minimal pesto and basil was wilted. No longer be dining here. Too much cutting corners in quality NOT worth the price.

We've hired Speedy Panini a couple of times for our office lunches and have never experienced anything less than awesome hospitality and service. The owner goes above and beyond to make sure our needs and expectations are met. Today he arrived one hour prior to the event and was ready to serve our office 30 mins before lunch. If you're looking for a good panini with reliable, clean, and friendly service, look no further.

They often are at the SJ earthquakes games. Honestly used to be my favorite. But they just aren't as good. What wrong guys? Why aren't the sandwiches even warm? Cheese not melted? I even asked for "extra crispy" tonight hoping to get it hot. But alas. No deal. The minute it was ready I stood there and took a bite. Inside was cold. Sorry but you've lost me

Italian sausage sandwich and fries. $10
Tim Y.

Ordered an Italian sausage sandwich when their truck visited my work. It was served fresh on delicious bread. The French fries were great too! They cook them as ordered so they come out piping hot. Friendly service from the staff! $10 for a sandwich and fries may be on the high side but I think it's worth it! I'll try some of their other sandwiches next time they come around. Definitely one of the better food trucks out there!

Just when you think you won't see another new food truck in good ole Brisbane Marina, along comes Speedy Panini. And speedy they were. During their first few days, you could tell they were still trying to get their system down, but even when they seemed to get backed up, they were on it, getting those sandwiches and lasagnas out their window. I have to say the polpette (meatball) panini was good and Grandma's lasagna was an pretty generous portion. The cannoli tasted good, but a bit small if you ask me. These guys have a lot of potential. Can't wait to try another panini soon.

3.5 stars. My review is only for the cannoli! Very yummy but also very small!! :( I was expecting something more than a 2 bite delight! I would come back for more if they were priced at $1.25... I have to admit it was very crunchy and all the flavors were there!

i was @ edgewood eats last night, and so was the panini truck with their friendly italian staff and big smiles. in addition to paninis, they also sell lasagna, salad, and cannolis. note that this truck accepts credit cards, huge plus! here's what i ordered: pollo panini ($7) this sandwich was a nice, hearty size, and very filling. the chicken was seasoned/marinated/cooked very well, it was so tasty and juicy, absolutely delicious! they added mushrooms, some italian herbs, and provolone cheese to this panini which really enhanced the taste. my only complaint is that the bread was a little soggy, probably from the chicken juices flowing down as i was holding the sandwich vertically. also, it would have been nice to have some herbs/spices baked into the italian ciabatta bread. sicilian cannoli ($2) a sweet mix of pistachio nuts and chocolate chips blended into ricotta cheese. to this, i say, "la dolce vita!" it was delicious, i could have eaten more! food was great, and i'd definitely be back to try one of their other paninis and have more cannolis. $9 for a full dinner is pretty good.

Amazing, food and great customer service!! I got their signature sandwich with Italian sausage and peppers. YUM!! The cannoli was delicious too. Ingredients were fresh, and the bread had the perfect crunch.

Speedy Panini at Moveable Feast 11/26/11

Speedy Panini made its Moveable Feast debut today (11/26/11). I'm not sure if it was Graziano or Vittorio who was working in the truck, but he was very friendly. Too bad he didn't have any lasagne, but I tried the Pollo Panini, which was served on a nice crispy roll. The menu said my $7 sandwich was a marinated chicken breast, Portobello mushrooms, Italian herbs & Provolone cheese, tomato & pesto spread. The mushrooms looked more like button mushrooms, but I suppose they could've been Crimini (baby Portobello). Everything tasted good, and I liked the crunch from the bread. The only downfall was the cheese was cold and solid. It would've been better if the sandwich was warmed through with melted, gooey cheese. Friendly service and a tasty sandwich earns this new truck 4 stars.

Salsiccia Panini & Cannoli
Jason S.

The name is misleading. It is definitely not a 'speedy' truck. This is a pretty 'authentic' Italian food truck (or so I imagine). They play italian music, and have Italian paninis & pastas. Apparently, Renzo of 'Cafe Renzo' in Palo Alto is a cousin of the 'Speedy Panini' guy. I had a salsiccia panini & a cannoli. The salsiccia panini tasted very Italian. But other that that, I didn't really enjoy it too much. However, I suspect that their pastas are pretty good. The cannoli was a small one, but actually good. Not as fresh as Romolo's, but the shell had a nice crunch to it, and the filling was pretty flavorful.

I was in the mood for some street tacos and this was the highest rated place around. And now I know…read morewhy! It is a truck, but has a consistent set up in this parking lot. There was no one else there when I arrived around 8pm on a weeknight. They have the typical mexican fare on the menu and I got a burrito and some carne asada tacos. The food was ready pretty quicky and even though they had some tables set up there, it was too cold so I took it back to my hotel 10 minutes away. The food was still piping hot and the meat was amazing! You could really taste the smoke and that's what did it for me. The size of the burrito was huge and I couldn't finish it, shifting my focus on the tacos as those were better. They come with cilantro and onions and packed with limes, but you need to grab your own salsa before you go from their salsa bar. I highly recommend this place!

We found this place since it was near the Costco we were headed to while visiting my nephew…read more Literally in the parking lot. The reviews looked good so we decided to make a stop. Pleasantly surprised by what we would find. My nephew asked if the beef tongue was good but they weren't understanding so we just ordered one. He also got a carne asada taco and I got a mulita. They have a sala bar with cucumbers/radish, pickled onion and salsas. I had to try them all. They call you when it's ready. The beef tongue looked very interesting so we were skeptical about it. But after trying it, we were pleasantly surprised and he enjoyed it the most of the 2 tacos he got. The multia was only grilled on 1 side and the other tortilla was just slapped on top. All the other places we go to they grill both sides. It did have a nice cheese layer on it though. Good but would have preferred both sides grilled. Salas were good as well. I didn't get my receipt though but oh well. SYOY!
