I received estimates from four different companies and I chose Shannon Vaden. Some of the moisture damage was worse than initially thought. Shannon and his crew repaired all the items on the WDO, in addition, damage done to a load bearing wall from water leaking by a improperly sealed window frame. The repair required work on inner and external sides of the wall. Not only is Shannon very affable but honest with a strong work ethic. Not to mention he was very reasonable in his pricing. Left a bag of trash and a razor blade on the floor knowing he wasn't coming back for several days. Outlets are crooked, drywall was patched uneven, gutters he hung all leak. They can't be returned because he drilled holes in them. I paid 1400.00 and spent 650. In materials. He walked off and never finished 1 job he was hired to do. Is the maintenance worker for Watson property management on 23rd street. Look at what he does to people's homes!

We got…read morea few different quotes for the work, including from Mike who came out to look at the space on a Saturday afternoon. Mike's wasn't the lowest bid, but it was the only one without contingencies, and the only one which stated up front that his crew would remove the old tile floor, repair any underlying issues with the subfloor, and level it before installing the new luxury vinyl planks. Plus we felt comfortable after meeting him about the plan and the quality of the materials/work. It took about two weeks after signing up to get the planks ordered/delivered, and then set a time to do the installation. A two-man crew showed up around 8:30 a.m., gave me some updates along the way to show what was happening (and ask some important questions I hadn't considered, like which way the new planks should run), and they finished installing the flooring and the quarterround by about 11:30 a.m. Everything looks great, and we are very happy.
