Solid spot for gas, it usually has competitive prices and there are a good amount of pumps, plus it's in a plaza with some decent restaurant choices. There are pumps on both sides of the building and it does tend to get crowded during peak hours. There are also entrances into the store area from both pump areas. If you're heading west on El Camino you'll want to do a U turn or turn left onto Gateway Oaks to enter. Usually, with traffic the U turn is better. It's also easiest to exit the gas station onto Gateway Oaks unless you're trying to jump right onto 5 South. There is also a Starbucks, Jamba Juice, Carl's Jr., Pizza, Sandwiches, Chinese, Indian and Brazilian options all in the same plaza and the Residence inn is tucked behind the plaza. read more

We went here for gas and all we got was HORRIBLE customer service. The pumps were not working. We were told that they needed to reboot the system. It would take five minutes according to the staff. They never did reboot. They just kept collecting money from customers who had to stand around waiting. After fifteen minutes of waiting, we were getting annoyed and inquired what was going on. The staff had the audacity to become arrogant and ask if we wanted our money back. We said yes. The staff told me to go wait by the pump. As I was walking back to the pump, one of the staff came out to hand me my refund. I said that this was unacceptable. The staff was very rude and mumbled some negative comments. DO NOT GO HERE. It is a dangerous place. Staff is trying to hoodwink customers. This place should be shut down. read more

Welcome to the newly opened speedway, for gas, diesel and convenience store items, not a spot for racing. Easy access to the pumps and they do have the cash price and then the credit/debit price. The prices seem pretty good for a location off the highway. They do have regular gas and diesel fuel at the pumps. At times you might get someone drifting by asking for this or that. The location has plenty of lighting. Have 4 bats with plenty of pumps and easy access right back on to highway 5 south only at this exit. If need 5 north head left on W. El Camino till you get to highway 80 take east an then highway 5 north will be a mile or so down the road. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. There's a "Karen" in this gas station. I pulled up next to the curb because my son was getting a soda. Karen asked me to move the car that I couldn't park there. I even had my handicapped plate in the front. I politely said I'm just waiting for my son he is line to pay for a soda. Clearly she didn't care. My son was about to pay but Karen intervened saying he wasn't going to be rung up unless I moved the car. I told my son grab his money and let's go somewhere else that someone was having a bad day. Karen started yelling!! She kept arguing and I just kept saying have a good day! You have a good day! Don't bother with this station. Save yourself a bad moment. Not worth it. read more

It is what it is. Gas stations these days are just getting the worse rep. Like all other gas stations, gas here is expensive. This location is all that RiverOaks neighborhood has besides the Arco on the other end of W. El Camino by the 80 freeway entrance. This place is gone all the way down with this latest group of employees and so called manager. Employees and manager are on their personal phones while customers are waiting. The manger is rude and argumentative. This used to be my go to gas station but I'm done. They need to fire the whole crew and start new. I won't be back until they do. If you're in need of a receipt be sure to remember the amount. Knowing the pump number isn't enough. It's a 50/50 chance the receipt will print at the pump. Also if you get gas from pumps 1-6 and your receipt doesn't print, be prepared to walk around the store to enter through the door that works. I recommend finding a station that maintains their equipment better. It's really a shame as this station is in a very convenient location. read more

This rating is entirely based on my experiences with two employees: Joseph and Angel. These outstanding employees are always friendly, polite, efficient and professional no matter how busy it gets. And they greet everyone who enters the store. They're a great team, helping each other without complaint. Like today, Angel was busy stocking the freezer, but stopped to get ice for a customer as soon as Joseph asked. All with a smile, and no complaints. Today, Joseph was faced with a very intoxicated man who wanted to buy more alcohol. Joseph was polite, kind and firm, respectfully insisting that he couldn't sell alcohol to him bc the man was so intoxicated that he could hurt himself. This was clearly the correct decision, but not an easy one to implement as the man was so altered that he couldn't comprehend what Joseph was saying. He refused to step aside, continuing to insist on buying the beer. Joseph handled the situation quickly and professionally. He skillfully de-escalated the incident - so well in fact that the gentleman was not upset when he left the store! If Joseph is not a manager, he should be promoted. Because of Angel and Joseph, I'm not posting a separate 1 star review, but I am including my comments bc this was an act of discrimination due to my disability - and likely racist as well. I've been a long time customer of this Speedway. When 7-11 took over, the prior excellent staff were replaced. Some of the current staff are rude. One example: a younger female employee refused to sell me two bottles of water bc I had parked in the handicapped spot. I am handicapped. I have a permanent disability placard. I have nerve damage to my back and left leg. Walking is very painful. I can't use a wheelchair, unfortunately, bc I can't sit upright. This employee wanted me to walk back to my car and pull it forward in case a customer in a wheelchair needed to use the ramp. I wasn't blocking the ramp. I explained to her that I'm disabled, walking is painful, it would hurt me more and take longer to walk back and forth again than to ring up the purchase. As she still refused, I added that I would not park there next time (even though I have as much right to park there as any other disabled person). She still refused. I left without water on a 100 degree day. My car didn't have air conditioning at the time. I contacted the Better Business Bureau and the DRC to report this incident. read more

Id give less than a star if i could purely for the employees. Told my mother the bathroom wasnt ready at like 930am, we were getting coffee and snacks and going to wait. Coffee was out. My mom let them know and they literally just looked at eachother and snickered like they weren't about to do anything. Neither employee was doing anything, just standing at the counter socializing. there was two ladies working in the front. A younger one and the older one the older one is super rude. Looks like she had a long night needs to be more professional. I don't see why businesses hire people like these to work mornings. If they're not in a good mood, they shouldn't work these types of jobs. They need to be better customer service. if you guys hire people you should hire people that are more friendly in the morning not people that are so rude so you guys could keep your customers I will never go to that gas station again. The only reason I'm giving a 1 star is because of the fellow who works there. I went in and ordered gas for a certain pump, paid for it, then the pump didn't work. I advised staff and they acted as though we didn't know how to pump gas and then shoved the pump inside the tank hard. Then they kept messing with it. Then they told me that I had to go again and pay again and we could move to a different pump. All the time, I had the receipt and they wouldn't look at it until the fellow looked at it and realized that the clerk had put the funds onto the wrong pump and then, to make matters worse, the other staff blamed us for giving the wrong number. This Speedway is now part of 7-11 and maybe that's the problem. I don't know where Princess and the other staff went but I won't be going back to this one ever again. Customer service costs nothing and keeps customers coming. Sadly, they don't have any customer service skills. read more

Awesome staff. Always friendly. Gas prices are competitive and the restrooms always clean.

This is hands-down one of the best gas station I'm at Bourbon everyone is super friendly and it's so clean I really enjoy going to Speedway
