My husband took the car back to the dealer explaining the sitatuion and the salesman proceeded to tell him that they do a full inspection on each and every car before they sell it. That's bullshit. If they would have done that, that would have realized that there was absolutely NO transmission fluid in the car. It was bone dry. The salesman tried to dodge any responsibility for the car and lying about the condition in which the car was sold. My husband finally refused to take the car back, and the salesman ended up giving him his down payment back, as my husband was within the 3-day limit that Florida law allows. To make matters worse, 10 minutes later, I happened to be at the gas station right next door to this dealership, and watched the salesman, get in the car drive it down Hwy 60 a little bit. Before I finished putting gas in my own vehicle, he had already driven back on the lot and put the same car with transmission problems, back on the front line to be sold again. There was absolutely no way that he had time to properly check this vehicle out, let alone fix any problems.
