One thing about the Nashville area is that the gas station game is not strong at all...so any chance I get to pop into a RaceTrac or QT around town, I take it! For reference, RaceTrac's are massive back in Atlanta...and I miss them so much! Now that I got my fan-girl moment out the way, I popped into this RaceTrac to top off the ole tank and grab a snack/drink. I love the RaceTrac coffee machine's, so naturally I scooped up an Iced Coffee for a short drive home to East Nashville. The store was clean, well stocked and in decent condition for a gas station. It is a very busy location, so cleanliness is hit and miss, and conditionally, it could use some TLC. Gas prices are competitive, but never the cheapest in the area, so I usually swing by this location for snacks and drinks...and a slice of pizza on occasion. Service is inconsistent here, but that is with most gas stations honestly. I have had friendly cashiers, and then I have had borderline rude cashiers and even some who could ignore me if they could. Overall, I enjoy the RaceTrac brand and given this location, will continue to pop in when needed.

I saw the Shell logo and chose the store so I could use my two $10 prepaid Shell gas cards to get gas and a snack. While standing in line, two men behind the Bison Coffee counter called me across the store to check out "faster". I told them I also needed gas and had two Shell gift cards for payment - they said, "No problem". I told them I wanted to pay for my items and get the remaining balance in gas. I swiped the first card and then the second as directed by the man. I was told my snack purchase was $5.00 even. I said, "Great, I'll use the remaining $15 for gas on pump 5. The cashier then told me I still owed $5 - even after swiping both cards totaling $20. He seemed confused or unable to process it.We went back and forth for several minutes as I was clearly being overcharged. I eventually tried using my credit card just to leave - and it was "declined". I knew that wasn't right. I went to my car, grabbed a second credit card, and IT was "declined" too. I then knew the machine wasn't working properly so I returned to the original main register. My card worked immediately, proving the other machine was malfunctioning. While I was trying to calmly explain the issue again, the Bison man came over to apologize, and then stepped away as a white middle aged woman told him, "I've got this." However, she didn't listen at all - she talked over me. Then another woman, who wasn't involved at all, jumped in and told me to move to yet another register so she could "explain" what I had done wrong. I told her I needed to know where my $20 went and she responded rudely. After approximately 20 minutes, I said this was f***ing ridiculous and she told me to stop cursing and that this was being recorded! Then she threatened to call the police and told me to leave the store. I was stunned. I had done nothing but try to pay with supposedly legitimate Shell cards. I am a 58 year old woman who posed zero threat, yet I was humiliated, talked down to, dismissed and threatened. I left shaken and angry, without gas, having no idea where my $20 went, treated like a criminal for attempting to patronize this establishment. I would give them a negative rating if possible. Twice Daily NEVER AGAIN.

He was blasting loud music from behind the counter one time, and eating the Twice Daily donuts while getting the crumbs all over the counter.
