We got 2 good recommendations from coaches who've attended in the past, but unfortunately it seems…read morethe organization is resting on its laurels and grabbing the cash. It's fully understood that weather can be a factor in any tournament, but most organizations genuinely seem to care about the players experience and do everything possible to get games in. Triple Crown did not appear to have that policy. Throughout the early part of the week, several storms moved through quickly and TC just cancelled the games instead of going in to what would be like a 30 minute rain delay (turf fields with excellent drainage btw). Then the the kicker...the other age groups at dirt fields got washed out, so TC decided to suddenly push all winner bracket games into our fields and cancel the rest of our tournament for teams facing their second elimination games. Our 5-game guarantee quickly became 3 games plus another 1-inning cancelled game. Even when the weather cleared for the latter part of the week, TC did not even consider that there were many teams sitting around the beach hoping to play and with now playable fields available. They could have easily set up consolation games to honor the 5-game guarantee, but just seemed happy to now be running an extremely pared down tournament. We had 30+ players and family that traveled nearly 1000 miles for what basically ended up being a washed out tournament. To make matters worse, there were several players on our team who were playing there last games of their careers and it all just ended abruptly with a short "have a nice trip home" message from Triple Crown.

We recently joined the boat club and absolutely love it. The opportunity to spend time on a large…read moreselection of boats throughout the year was very appealing. We weighed buying a boat, putting in a pool and the boat club and found this option to be the most cost effective at least for now. The nautical boat club has a wide selection of options and the monthly fee is nominal compared to buying a 60-100k boat. While the gas after the adventure can add up I guess this is where the organization can make additional money. I wish they were up front with that cost up overall not many complaints for our first month. I think operationally I have some feedback but I can share that with the franchise owner. Regardless we love being on the water and the option to use it at other locations across the country! Anchors up!

They are significantly more expensive than any other club, they offer the fewest number of boats and the boats are not any better than any other club. During the peak of fishing season this fall they only had 8 boats available , only 4 of which allowed fishing and they took their brand new best fishing boat offline in October until January because they were getting covers made for it. There are constant issues with the boats not being clean, salt on the windshields, trash in the trash can, wet seats, broken parts that rarely get fixed, it's quite frankly a joke. I pays $800 a month when ALL the other clubs are under $600 a month with insurance and taxes, I checked !! The manager Shayne never communicates anything, such as time changes on the boats, boats going offline or coming online, changes in rules or literally anything. Stay far away and do NOT trust the fake reviews! I have a few friends stuck in their contracts here and they can't get out without being sued.

It was a fundraiser hosted by the club to help off-set the cost to send some of their athletes to the American Open. I just came to help out and maybe get a better technique for my next WOD - but who would have guessed that I'd dive so deep into the sport of Weightlifting! Over the next few months, I set a lofty, outlandish goal: Qualify for the American Open in my first year... I expected a chuckle, or a stern reality check. To my absolute surprise, without missing a beat, Coach Walt simply said, "If you're willing to put in the work, then so am I." and BOY, did we put in some work! Over the next year, I learned not only the intricate techniques, but how to battle and overcome fear, uncertainty and anxiety. I learned how beneficial it can be to have an exceptional coach and team behind you when your goals feel so much bigger than what you could possibly accomplish. Well, in the first year, I qualified and competed at the American Open (Final) Over the next several years, I got to travel the US to compete in the same sessions alongside Olympians and World and National Record holders! It was surreal. I was never an athlete growing up - I liked books and art, never played a sport - and here I was, doing things I never expected I could do. The gym atmosphere is encouraging and supportive - everyone cheers for everyone. Doesn't matter if you just started that day, or if you've been lifting for a while - they whole gym wants to see you succeed and are quick with a high-five or a supportive word. No matter what your goals, the Wilmington Weightlifting Club has got your back. The programming is second to none and is structured with intention specific to your goals. Not just some basic linear progression template with the lable "CUSTOM" slapped on it. The Team is the absolute best around. The Coaching provides you keen eyes on every move, with feedback that's easy to digest and addresses the foundational requirements to help you build yourself correctly as an athlete. If you come in willing to learn and absorb feedback, you'll go as far as you want to go!
