It is my greatest honor to review Elizabeth Peterson's accent reduction classes that I enrolled in. I came to Colorado in March, 2018 from South Korea. My husband who was born and raised in Colorado understood whatever I said. Naturally, I thought my English was okay. While working as a paraeducator in a middle school, it turned out that my English was not like native English speakers at all. I desperately desired to improve my spoken English. With my school speech therapist's advice, I found Elizabeth Peterson's accent reduction class. While checking all the incredible improvements that her students experienced and shared, I honestly doubted a little bit about her strategies and skills, thinking "Can all these be real?" However, my desperation to improve mine like native English speakers made me choose her classes. Considering my desire to reach my potential, I chose the 12-week course. From the first class till the end, the whole process was the paradigm shift in speaking English. Whenever I am aware of my intonation going back to my old habit of speaking English with Korean accent, I remind myself of 'The cat is fat' with the image of the stable staircase. Each step should be long enough with the vowels held long. Her voice still sticks to my brain: "Hold your vowels longer!" If you are truly hoping to improve your accent and speak like English native speakers, she will help you aim your goal and achieve it more than you can imagine. One more point that I have to share with you is that she enormously helped me go through the interview and get the job offer that I have desired to have: a special education mild/moderate teacher. I have zero strategies and skills for the interviews. Without her help, I might still look for a job now. What amazes me the most is her excellency at customizing her client: the way her brain works to serve me the most efficiently and the most effectively. Her passion to help me get the job that I want, her intensively detail-oriented guidance with prove-it statements, and her techniques to keep my brain flexible to answer any questions with the key bullet points made me get the job. I reached out to Liz for interpersonal coaching and I'm so happy with the results! I struggle to make connections and don't know how to approach people or maintain conversations. It is my second course for the business communications development with Speech and Voice Enterprises. Liz is a true expert in the speech - language pathology and her extensive expertise is a game changing for someone who wish to improve a pronunciation. I am ESL carrier and , thus the course part , which is relevant to ascent reduction is very valuable to me . In my professional field, by professional occupation , I should present a topics for a different audience. Liz's expertise would make you proficient in a public presentations for a peoples with a different background. She will teach to be concise in public appearance, mentoring on " Good to know versus must to know" strategy. I can firmly conclude that my business communications are improved. Liz Peterson is positively the best! Our company, McWhinney, has had Liz train Executives and Associate 5 different times over the past year. She had also done executive coaching for a couple of our C-Suite members. Her content is always current and relatable.
