Student Castle makes me wish -- why the hell am I not a student! Seriously this is definitely the…read moreposhest, nicest and cleanest student accommodations I have seen with the most amazing view! It looks like a 5 star hotel from outside and gives tough competition to Hilton as far as the height of the building is concerned (Of course if the rooms were like Hilton then the students living there would have to be billionaires). I have been here so many times, yes I still have tons of friends who are students (Thankfully post grads, no I don't hang out with teenagers and I am not a pedophile). My friends live on the 29th floor and the view is absolutely breadth taking and their flats look nothing like student flats I lived in. The flats are while, with modern furniture, bean bags, central heating and they have a cleaner every week (how I wish I lived here). They are 2 bedroom flats, more like modern apartments but there are also studios available. There is a gym and common room in the ground floor too besides a super fancy lift! The price is not much higher if you compare it to other post grad accommodations in Manchester and the location could not have been better! Seriously its located right in the center of oxford road, near all the pubs and walking distance to the university as well as city center (what more does a student need?) Verdict: Definitely the best student accommodation I have ever seen!

I've talked about the £1.5 million penthouses in Deansgate No. 1. I've waxed lyrical about The Edge…read morebeing one of the most important and central options for luxury living and aparthotel visiting. But Skyline Central is something altogether different. I've got two things to say to you. Rooftop swimming pool. Resident gym. While not the most central of locations, although the name would misleadingly indicate otherwise, it's a few minutes away from the Northern Quarter and a lot less boho. This is five star living. There are no rickety doors or original features to be found here. The key draw here is the upstairs 5,000 square metre spa, fully equipped gym and the 20 metre pool as well as an open-air hot tub on the roof, but there's more. The building even has an exclusive car hire service and laundry and housekeeping services. This is aspirational living down to a tee. If Patrick Bateman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patrick_Bateman) was a Mancunian, he'd be living here. Sorry to, er, worry you with that. At 18 storeys high some of the balcony views may give you vertigo, but they'll probably remind you of all those episodes of Frasier where you longed for his pad. And I know that's not just me. With 248 apartments spread over 17 floors, you'd get views over the Printworks and Deansgate and feel pretty much on top of the world. There's even a personal trainer and nutritionist in the gym, so you can certainly live like a celeb in style. The flats consist of one and two bedrooms with a few penthouses and duplexes. While the exterior of the building doesn't look quite as staggering as it might have a few years ago (metal? Glass? Angles? Meh... they're everywhere these days) but it's the epitome of modern city living. You might be paying through the nose, but minus your own gym membership off your monthly allowance and it might not seem too staggering.

Located just opposite the Angel pub, and a short walk (easily less than 10 minutes) from the Arndale Centre, Printworks and Northern Quarter, it's location is stunning. From the outside, the building is really cool. Massively tall, with an amazing penthouse that includes a huge glass section that could probably fit a tree in, it's fantastic.

Excellent Hotel Apartments and a darn good idea! Arrived at…read more2pm for check in, was met by a very friendly and courteous receptionist who checked us in and took us up to the apartment, pointing out, fire exits and the like..certainly more attention than we expected, which is a good thing. On arrival to the rooms, the cleaners were still finishing up, which was a bit of a mark down, as the room should really be ready for 2pm. We decided to head into town to buy soft drinks and snacks to have in the apartment while we waited so it wasnt too bad. The apartments themselves are lovely. Nice modern feel. On entering the hall is wide and spacious, to your right is a lovely modern clean bathroom with a massive shower head and the deepest bath ive ever seen! bliss... Ahead of you is the bedroom, nice modern looking bed, the mattress was very comfy, nice spacey room. To your left from the hall is the lounge/kitchen area very nice again, soft squishy sofa's, flat screen tv etc, the kitchen was clean lined, dark wood, they provide cutlery and cups/glasses and even left coffee and biscuits, which is a nice touch for an apartment. If you're a smoker, pay the extra £5 and grab a balcony room as the smoking rooms are very limited. I certainly would not hesitate in staying here again. I enjoyed the apartment experience, i'll certainly look out for Premier Apartments in other cities during my travels.

I spent my first 2 weeks of uk life here, and it was not sweet at all. At first I really thought…read moreall the service apartment were like that here in Manchester, until I moved..... Once I opened the door of my room, I smelled curry, very very strong smells of curry that lasted until the day I left, the house still smelled like Indian curry. Which you couldn't really blame anyone cos there was no window excepted the bedroom. I tried to open the door at the balcony, but bugs came in. I think that's the reason why the smells lasts forever, cos they had no way out. The bathroom was nice and clean, there's a huge bathtub with a nice shower head. However, if you wanna have a nice hot bubble bath, sorry, you can't. Because the hot water only gonna last for about 10 mins, after 10 mins, the hot water ran out, and you have to wait for 20-30 mins to get some more. Alright, how about just a normal shower? Usually, there will be a bath curtains or a glass door so the water does not splash all over the bathroom floor. Well they have a glass door which covered the half of the bathtub. So basically you have to wipe the floor every time after you take shower, if you like clean. The living room was quite nice, there were 2 sofas and they're comfortable. But the lights were old and yellow(the light supposed to be in white color I think), so I usually turned on all the lights in the room then I can work. It's an open-styled kitchen, they have almost all the equipments you will need for a simple meal. But I think the oven was broken, a button or sth was missing, so I never had a chance to press start lol Or maybe I should have ask, but all I remember what the receptionist told me on the first day were just "you can't blah blah blah... Blah blah blah is strictly forbidden blah blah blah". Clearly they were more concerned about management then services. And people here never smile:( I think the bedroom was the only thing I liked about here. The bed was big and soft, pillows were firmed. There were 2 lamps on both sides of the bed, one was broken. Doesn't really matter, but just felt disappointed when you moved into a service apartment which had so many problems. There should be house keeping every week, but I only saw the maid once. So if you just gonna stay for 1 or 2 nights, it's alright here. but if you trying to find a place to have a long stay and experience the manchester city, I suggested not to come here, there are soooooooo much more better choices which are better location, better service, and most importantly, better room! With not much different price.
