All I had to do was return some old equipment. Oh yeah and I also had to return a wireless router that they sent me and charged me for that I didn't ask for. There's like six associates in the store and they're only helping three people. The one lady has asked four people to sign in at the kiosk and hasn't helped a single person yet there's another associate who just walked in and he's just standing around holding a water bottle. Seems like they could probably generate more revenue if they were actually helping people with all of their staff. Sick of Spectrum and paid 250$ for installation from CTI Network. I never had reliable internet and depend on it for my cell phone (network extender) since September of last year. I hope this works, I really do. Living alone with animals that depend on me for survival without a way to make a call is a helpless feeling. Imagine being told to call tech support but you literally cannot call tech support because the problem affects your ability to do so. Eventually, I was able to get someone out here who claimed to diagnose and fix the issue but then the next day I could not use my services again. Then I spent a whole day and a whole tank of gas running back and forth to the spectrum office in Reidsville swopping out equipment. Still, the problem remains and it's intermittent which would drive anyone crazy. I pray this new company won't steal my money, time, and sanity like Spectrum has. read more

Have continually had technicians at my home to do repairs. Spectrum cannot keep a constant signal into my home. I have heard I'm sorry so many times I am sick of it. All I want is the consistent service I have paid for. So tired of internet and streaming going into continual buffering. I would not recommend to anyone but for most it is the only choice. They are under sourced in equipment to meet the minimum needs of their customers and bank on low usage to cover the problem. Pitiful service in this arena. Cable companies deservingly have very bad reputations for service. It's something they have worked hard at over the years. I've had recent dealings with Spectrum which have actually been good. After a classic case of awful service from U-Verse, I thought "What the hell, Spectrum can't possibly be worse, I'll give them a call." The customer service rep was great, of course you expect the best foot forward on the first date. The technician who did the switch over was also very friendly and efficient. And get this, they only have a 1 hour waiting window instead of the typical 3 or 4 hour window. Our service went out last night and I called the service line. I did have to wait a few minutes then go talk to a computer who trouble shooter (shot?) the problem with no success. I was then connected to a real person who was great. She also couldn't solve the problem so an appointment was scheduled for today with the technician scheduled to arrive between 3 and 4. He arrived 10 minutes early! He was very friendly and professional and solved my problem in less than fifteen minutes. I wish I could give 0 stars. Anyone using Spectrum for any of your internet/wifi/phone needs. Be advised: I switched to At&T for fiber service. Paid my Spectrum bill to avoid any late fees. Now I wish I hadn't. They refuse to pro-rate after my disconnect. So I am out their inflated fee of $69.99 for the month and I'm not even using them anymore. This, after they jacked up my rates from $49.99 to $69.99 and when I called then, insisted there was nothing they could do about it. Lo and behold today: suddenly they can offer me all kinds of "deals" including lowering the wifi/internet to $45/month. This is a real dishonest, bait and switch company. Run like the WIND. I have been a loyal customer of Time Warner/Spectrum for over twenty years. Never missed a payment! Before Spectrum it was a PIA to deal with the billing changes and contract surprise charges. With Spectrum it was much better. Now I am getting surprise increases without any notifications. I am now billed $109.99 per month for internet only services. Last month it was $99. Same service for new customers is $49. This is BS. I am also using Spectrum Cell Phone services. I've had it. Once again, I want to state how much I HATE SPECTRUM CABLE. First, I am now paying $251 per month for internet and STANDARD cable. NO PREMIUM channels. Two weeks ago, they told me that the Cisco cable box next to my bedroom TV was outdated and they were sending me a new box. I held off until the old box stopped working. I tried to install the new box, but, since I have an older TV, the new box WON'T CONNECT!. There answer: buy a new TV! Based on what they charge, I guess they can afford new TV's all the time! And they had me return the new box, so even if I get a new TV, I will have to get ANOTHER new box. This is so typical of uncontrolled monopolies. I've been looking at Direct TV and other streaming, so I guess this is the weekend I sign-up. I wish I could get rid of them for Internet/Wi-Fi also. I told them once that people HATE THEM MORE THAN THE INSURANCE COMPANIES! And my statement still holds!! read more

The service is good but it does go out pretty regularly. My biggest complaint is that they raise your rate with no apparent notice. This month my bill went up 5 bucks. You know, I read the yelp reviews about spectrum. And they are true. I talked to very nice people on the phone to get new routers and modems. Twice! First time they failed to send the router. When I told him I would have a friend go down to the spectrum store and get one, they put her name on the roster and officially made her a user. Zero stars if possible! I wanted internet service only. They told me it would be "cheaper" for me to get internet AND cable because I'm only paying $6 MORE?!!!! I told them clearly that I don't need it. I had some work to do and told the sales rep that I didn't have time to complete the transaction and that I will call later. BUT they signed me up for it anyway!!!!! Why?!?!?! They didn't even take any information from me!! Just my address!!! To make matters even more confusing, I got a bill of $130!! which also included specturm voice!!!!!!! I was appalled!!! I called them to get it fixed and was literally on the line for over 2 hours and they still haven't fixed it!!! In summary, Specturm people are GREEDY!! They just want to get the sale done. If you can avoid it, don't call them. Get your connection online. If that's not possible, be firm with them! Don't sway to any of their "DEALS".
