King helped us transfer data and apps from our old iPhones to our new iPhones and showed us several unique features of our new phones. He also hooked us up with AT&T service plans that saved us over $30 a month. What is very important to know is that this is an AT&T corporate store, not a reseller which means you will get the best deals AT&T has to offer without the additional charges a reseller has to tack on. read more

Their rep named Aria lied straight to our faces, and when we went back to the store, they kept telling us, "just give the billing cycles time to catch up." I agree with all the other reviews. Slow customer service w/ no sense of urgency. We walked in and saw 2 employees working with almost 11 customers waiting to be helped. There were 8-10 employees but only 2 actually working. 2 others (1 who claimed to be a manager) just standing in the back corner chatting w/ each other while they watched all the customers come in. And then we kept seeing other employees stick their head out of the back room & then turn around as if they didn't want to be seen. Come on guys...just Do Better!! Unfortunately, I can't assign less than a one star. If you buy from the Friendly location, make sure they only sign you up for what you ask for. I specifically stated I did not want the phone insurance or the Internet Air. I was signed me up for both of them anyway. That's about an extra $100 per month for our two phones. I then had to spend my time on the phone canceling services and returning unwanted equipment to UPS. I was going to switch to them and when they helped me they were nice put even when they called the main company they were on the phone given the run around for over 45 minutes. Where do I begin! So I went to this location on Black Friday to purchase a few gadgets for the family. First we were put into the cue which is standard. However, there was 2 couples of a another race that came in after us and was waited on first. When brought it to the managers attention, then he reacted and got someone to help us. The sales rep didn't want to help us. We told him what we wanted. He said I will be back and left. 45 minutes later, I ask another associate could they check and see what was taking so long. 5 minutes later, he comes out and starts to sell us the items including insurance. I explained to him that I didn't want insurance and he stated that I was going to take the insurance. I got the mgr involved who got another the sales person who then in turn sold us the wrong item. So I went back the next morning and stated what had happened. They told me that I would have to pay a $55 restocking fee even though I was sold the wrong item. Fast forward 3 months later: Go in to upgrade the family phones. Go in Friday around 7pm. Put in the cue. Waited 20 minutes and was reminded that they close at 8pm. 730pm hit finally get help. 20 minutes later was told they were out of stock but were trying to get the item delivered to the now. 5 minutes was that it wasn't going to happen but it would be there Saturday morning. The sales person stated They would be there and they would take care of me so I wouldn't have wait very long. Got there 1020 Saturday morning. Sales rep was with another customer. I stated to the manager what the situation was. He someone was going to help me. 1050am finally a salesperson is helping me. I explained to the situation to him and he said that he would get with the other sales rep. 30 minutes later they finally found the items. After he write them up and looks thru my account, it's now 1215pm. He goes on to tell for him to transfer all the data to the new phones, it could take up to 3 hrs (an hr per phone). If I wanted to, I could go do it at home and bring the old phones in when I had the time. All I had to do is give my phone number and drop them off. 3 weeks later: So today I go to drop off the phones. I told person at the door what I was doing. He stated someone would be with me shortly. 20 minutes later, he started to help me. Making small talk in which I really didn't need. He goes to tell that he needed to get EMI numbers from the phone. I stated to him what the last sales had told me. He stated that was not the way it goes. So he tries to turn on the phone. Nothing! Then ask me are all the phone dead? If you haven't been plugged up for 3 weeks wouldn't you. So he scrambled around for 3 iPhone wires in a predominantly IPhone gadget store. He plugs them up. 15 minutes later one comes up. He says "oh I'm going to do this phone first but I'm going to someone in. I will be right back. 15 minutes he still hadn't come back. I grab my phones and walked out. I go across town to the store on Wendover in and out less than 12 minutes and got signed up for other services. They say that New Yorker's are rude and give bad customer service. In all my years living there and going to AT&T there, I have never experienced anything like this. I was so ready to switch to T-Mobile. Just disappointed in every aspect! read more

I just bought a new phone tonight, and I haven't bought a new phone in three years. The staff seemed to be helpful enough. The young man who helped me got the phone set up for me so it was activated. I get home and I open the box and all that is in the box is a USB cable, no wall charger. I call back to the store to ask if that how it should be-it that normal. The woman who spoke to me informed me that you have to buy a wall charger separately from the phone now. Why did this sales associate let me walk out of the store without telling me that? His manager even came over and helped us with something, and she ALSO didn't mention that I needed to buy the charger separately. What is wrong with these people? Incompetence abounds nowadays. I've been with AT&T for three years now, and I may be switching over. There is no excuse for this. I just went on Amazon and ordered the charger to have it delivered. read more

This location blatantly lied to me. I went into the store to upgrade my phone. The sales person and the manager told me that AT&T no longer did 2 year contracts; they now only offered the (much more expensive, a rip off) Next plan. I said I didn't believe him, as I'd been told the same thing last year when upgrading a phone. All people gave me their word there was no option for a 2 year agreement, down payment plan on AT&T. I went one block down the road to the Apple Store, and within 20 minutes, had upgraded on the 2 year agreement plan. Furthermore, I called AT&T customer service, and found that they indeed had been lying. A terrible experience. If I hadn't been grandfathered into the unlimited data plan, I'd already have left for Verizon. read more

They messed up my bill. It took over three hours on the phone and about 2 hours on their Chat service to get things fixed. I hope they're fixed, one never knows - I log on daily to see if they've changed what I owe. While you're waiting for someone to take your call there is a loud and incessant voice trying to sell you even more services. Sometimes you get someone who is helpful, which is great, other times someone who thinks that just because the numbers on your bill add up to the total it must be correct. If you need to call them, make sure your phone's battery is fully charged and block out a couple of hours. So sick of this company, their high prices and the unpleasantness of dealing with them. If another vendor had good coverage where I need it (and it's coming, I hope) it wouldn't take much to make me switch. read more

One of the managers assured me it would work at time of sale which was the day the BOGO was running, as I was returning 1 new phone, buying 2 and opening a new line, so all terms of 2 for 1 deal were met although it was not conventional with the return. Handled poorly by Store manager. They basically said I was out of luck because of how it was rung up. Did not care that one of his managers gave me his word. I was told by both an AT&T retail store employee and by an AT&T customer service representative on the phone that I needed to turn in my old phone (I upgraded) to the AT&T corporate store at Friendly Center. There was only one other customer in the store. The store employee acted like she couldn't be bothered and said she couldn't accept the phone. I asked if she could help me set up the voicemail on my new phone and she said no, just call customer service. She was unpleasant and dismissive. read more

In AT&T's 'terms of service agreement' part of the agreement is the customer legally giving up their rights to being part of a class action lawsuit. Sadly, the Supreme Court has ruled that this if lawful. Thus, if AT&T charges you extra, lies etc., there's no consequence for them. What kind of company does this? I've had many experiences with AT&T that were class action worthy, time consuming and frustrating. My strong recommendation is to avoid doing business (and signing away your legal rights) with this company. read more

Obnoxious receptionist-arrogant, condescending and full of herself...Sales staff is concerned with one thing only-selling as many non-needed items/plans as possible. Sold us a phone that was off the shelves the next day and didn't work when we brought it home-would not hold a charge. Purchased a different phone and rep would not even help download material from previous phone even tho all that was needed was to hook them up to a transfer device. This place is even more aggravating than purchasing a car. If AT&T had any sense, which it doesn't, corporate would clean house at this location and start over with management and staff whose main concern is customer service instead of b.s. sales pitches and arrogant behavior. The worst !!!! I Bought a 64G Iph 5C, along with many accessories, and according to my sales rep, a FREE mobile wifi was thrown into my package, with recommendation of increasing my data plan to 10G. Took me 1st month bill to realize $20/month extra was added to my bill for z mobile wifi, plus $184 deactivation fee!!!! How slick is the Rep to omit that important info to me! I signed a contract on a electronic device .. Count not read anything, but went by what he told me I was paying for!! After numerous hrs of frustrating ph calls, they trade the wifi deal for an added line for my daughter. I got a 25% job discount ... Which they were trying to tell me .. It was paying for z free wifi ... REALLY??? They said I was credited except z credit went to pay for the wifi deactivation fee!!! Another slick move! Cuz I traded the wifi like for my daughter line. Bill was still high, another rep trying to tell me.. My daughter ph was $40 extra and the 25% job discount was what brought it down to $15. Well AT&T page specify $15 for an added like.. "Sharing" I'm still dealing with z bill ... It keeping going up and up, every month I'm making only another ph call! I will NEVER go there again !! read more

I was pleasantly surprised to only work late a couple of minutes before Derrick Yates assisted me. He helped me with my phone issues in a matter of minutes, and even helped me pair my phone to my car. This guy is fantastic. He even fixed my screen saver. When I asked about DIRECTV NOW, he was very knowledgeable and has convinced me that that is the best way for me to save money. I was an At&t customer for over 10 years and honestly, I don't even know where to start. I don't want to write a long, overwhelming review because there were SO many problems. I stayed with At&t because I had a grandfathered unlimited plan, which they still ended up getting rid of without my knowledge. I spent hours on the phone each month and honestly hung up the phone crying on more than one occasion out of sheer frustration. JUST DO NOT GIVE ANY OF YOUR TIME, ENERGY or MONEY to this incompetent company! At&t and Friendly center customer service, horrible, rude, just as incompetent than the call centers.
