I wouldn't go back..
I called to schedule a consult for a VERY superficial and VERY small graphite stain on my 6 year old daughter's nose. After due diligence, prudence, and a detailed description of what care we were looking for (they knew exactly what the circumstance was), the scheduler confirmed that Spectrum can assist and treat. 6 weeks later, at our consult, we pay up front $200 cash prior to seeing the pediatric dermatologist.
The doctor spends 5-7 minutes with us and confirms that actually, Spectrum cannot perform this service that was guaranteed/confirmed by the scheduler. Part of that 5-7 minutes was to "diagnose" and send another referral. (We already had this other referral from our PCP)
We asked for a refund and Spectrum has declined.
It's less about the $200 and more about honest and appropriate business practices.
We may not have scheduled the appointment, and therefore not wasted the $200, if the scheduler would have not guaranteed the service.
