Career Pro is an amazing team that helped me land a dream job of making new ice cream flavors in California! This was both a career move that I wanted to make and one that I didn't believe I could do. Thank you, Career Pro! I really appreciate all of the personal attention and advice that the team at Career Pro has given me! I am a young professional - only 3 years out of college and left my job in Chicago to relocate near my family in Raleigh because of a family emergency. It was quite difficult to find a way to write my resume and cover letters to address this sudden gap and John and the team at Career Pro were so helpful in finding ways to address this. I found their services in resume building and cover letters to be useful, but what was more helpful was their advice on networking. I needed some hand-holding because I am naturally an introvert (and I'm still quite new to professional networking!) and the team at Career Pro was so helpful and thoughtful with their advice! They responded promptly to emails and hold weekly check-in meetings. After all their advice and coaching, I was able to network my way into my dream job. I was previously an engineer and have always wanted to enter product development, but wasn't sure I was ready or had the skills needed. I also love working for Fortune 500 companies, but after a gap on my resume, I wasn't confident anyone would take me. Not the case! I have landed a product development job at a Fortune 500 company with Career Pro's help! I am so happy and so grateful! Obviously, they will not do the work for you and cannot promise to find you a job. But if you need a partner to help you stay motivated in your job search and someone like a mentor/coach to offer friendly advice (or sometimes much needed tough love!) THIS IS THE PLACE.

John has a rare ability to connect people thoughtfully and purposefully. His advanced jobseeker trainings are especially strong--practical, current, and grounded in real hiring dynamics rather than theory. Participating in these sessions sharpened my perspective and expanded my visibility in meaningful ways. What stands out most is John's generosity as a collaborator. Completely shady recruiting company that doesn't lead with that you will actually be hired THROUGH…read morethem, vs. the actual government agency. Approached me about a position that appeared to be no longer accepting applications (told me they were so convinced I was a fit, they took it down, even though I had never accepted the job), and had minimal information about the actual role. After our initial discussion, the recruiter kept saying they would connect me with their "point of contact," but that never happened, and there were always excuses, then eventually ghosted me. They were going to low ball me with the salary, lower than was in the original posting, and the benefits were terrible. At this point in my career, I am looking for stability, not a short term contract with a sketchy staffing agency. Save your time, and energy, and don't let these people get your hopes up!

I've worked with numerous recruiters. Insight Global was the worst experience I have had. They…read morestart very helpful and supportive. However, they do NOT represent the client--YOU--they were just acting as HR for their company. All they care about is getting you through to get picked up six months later, so they can get there commision. I was manipulated into believing I was getting a particular position. Convinced about false claims of job security, flexible hours, and work environment, just to name a few. I left a very good job in which I could have stayed forever, to return to NC, as my wife was experiencing serious health issues there, and the commute was too much. After I arrived and started the job, everything changed. The hours, the responsibilities, the supposed team lead, appointed after I was there and knew nothing about networking. A hostile work environment ensued, with the enitire new team in termoil. Kate Valianos, the Insight mgr, and Sarah Stopper, the recruiter, did nothing to advocate for me, just appoached me with actually saying, "Sorry, these things happen"! REALLY!! They do no represent you, they are just pawns to the company and their commision. It was an awful experience!!

A fellow EOD officer, my best bud, got a fantastic opportunity doing pharmaceutical sales with a really great company. I knew I wanted a job in sales and I knew I wanted Pharma/Med device. Alliance actually LISTENED to me, PREPARED me for the interviews (got 7/8 follow ups) and helped me get a sweet job in Seattle. Not only is it a great job, in a great location, it's a great opportunity with a company that is on the up and up. They really do a great job analyzing the earning potential of the businesses they bring to the conference. I make my own schedule, make 6 figures, live in an amazing place that meshes with my passions, and work for a company that makes a difference in people's lives. I could not ask for more. I am the happiest I have ever been and I owe a large percentage of that to this recruiting firm. P.S. Alliance is the only firm that guarantees you a job. Think about that. None of the other "big guys" will do that for you.

Alliance is by far the best and most comprehensive military transition firm out there for officers…read more They only accept 300 officers per year into the program and the selection process is pretty rigorous, but it's worth it. Once you're in the program, they really get to know you and take care of you. The training program taught me about things that I never would have thought to even ask and really set me up for success in the corporate world. After working with Orion and Bradley Morris first, I can tell you there is just no comparison. Both of those firms just sent me to their websites when I was within 4 months of separating and told me to just click through slides. Alliance starts training you up to a year before you get out and the training is done live in small groups in online forums. It's awesome that you can ask questions and get answers on the spot. The opportunities at the conference were awesome too! They really do a great job making sure the companies are high quality and are places were officers would actually want to work. While working with Bradley Morris and Orion, I did a bunch of job applications on my own too. I ended up getting a good number of call backs and went through some interviews, only to find out at the end that the pay wasn't good enough or the position had less leadership and promotion potential than what the company advertised (we're talking about big, brand-name companies). It's nice that Alliance does all of the vetting for you so you don't waste your time. The job search practically became a full-time job in those months leading up to my terminal leave. My OERs were mostly ACOMs and I had a good idea of what I was worth. It was nice to work with a firm that only works with other people like me and treated me like I was a person and not just a way for them to make a quick buck. Plus, you cannot beat that they pay for your airfare and hotel room for the hiring conference. I thought the whole team was genuine, thoughtful, caring, and so easy to work with. I strongly, strongly recommend Alliance. They really want to set you up for a career versus just a job.

Words cannot express how grateful we are for the time, care, attention, understanding, and…read moreincredible effort that My Girl Friday dedicated to our family. As pandemic -- and first-time -- parents, we reached a breaking point where we struggled to function as humans. We just couldn't sustain full-time work and childcare at the same time, but we also weren't ready to go the daycare route during the height of the pandemic. We found My Girl Friday when we realized that we wouldn't be able to take on the arduous task of finding a quality and well-suited caregiver ourselves. We'd seen friends try and go it alone, but after dozens of interviews, red flags, compensations, and their back up against the wall with timing, their benchmark for success became "good enough" vs. their initial intent of finding someone who aligned really well with their parenting style. We wanted to do things differently but knew that without the time or brain space, we needed serious help. After a few initial calls with My Girl Friday, they were hard at work to find us a fit who met our safety, development, and overall parenting style requirements. The process of reviewing and interviewing candidates was smooth. When you have no ding-dang idea what you're doing, the continued guidance, support, and recommendations from the My Girl Friday team are invaluable. One day, we received word that a newly applied caregiver entered their system who was a perfect candidate for our position. Knowing how hard we struggled to balance life, they emphatically pushed them through their interview, onboarding, and background check process to help us meet immediately. They were such a good fit that they quickly progressed from candidate to employee to family. While we waited for them to finish up their then-current position, My Girl Friday also worked hard to apply the same effort and care in finding us a short-term nanny to help with the gap in coverage. We can't imagine life without either of them. There's absolutely no way we could have quickly, reliably, and successfully found someone more perfectly fit for our family -- let alone two! -- in such a swift amount of time. For My Girl Friday to know and attract such high-quality, kind-hearted, warm-spirited, and well-suited candidates speaks volumes about their devotion and commitment to their business and clients. It may sound hyperbolic, but My Girl Friday saved our lives and sanity. We didn't know what to do, but they certainly did. We are forever grateful.
