My Fiancé applied with them, got a job, only worked ONE DAY because the company stated they didn't want a person like him working for them, which honestly I feel was due to racism on that company's end, not Apple one BUT my fiancé never got paid from working that one day. He even contacted Apple one and they never called him back. Time is money and they need to pay him for the hours he worked. It's been 4 months and he still hasn't heard from them. Easily one of the worst experiences with a staffing agency I've ever encountered. I recently moved to Raleigh and applied for a digital marketing coordinator position on AppleOne's website, which led to me creating a detailed profile which would be used by the recruiters, something that seemed like a great idea. However, I set up an interview through on their employment portal and before even meeting these people, they sent me about 15 critical documents that they wanted me to sign BEFORE the interview. So I gave them a call (which was very difficult to figure out how to contact them) and asked if I could actually meet them before signing things, and whoever answered was annoyed but reluctantly agreed. She then asked what type of job I was looking for, which I responded marketing or PR is the ultimate goal, and she said that they don't recruit for those positions -- only positions in other fields with 2-3 years of experience so they wouldn't want to take me on as a client anyway. Again, the position I applied for was for a Digital Marketing Coordinator with 1-2 years of experience listed on their website. Eventually, she realized that she was making this assumption without even looking at my experience and decided that she would keep the interview. I was then emailed a request to take a series of skill assessments, again BEFORE interviewing with this agency. I, and many people that I know and have worked with, have used multiple staffing agencies and zero companies that I know of will make you sign a load of documents and take multiple skill assessments before a single interview, or have such an abrasive staff or be difficult to figure out how to contact. Please, if you are looking for employment in the Raleigh area and are using staffing agencies, avoid AppleOne at all costs. Good luck with your job search! read more

Props to the wonderful people at AppleOne!!! It was a pleasure to work with them, and they walked me through every step, helping me get ready for interviews and making sure I knew what I was walking into. Jill was amazing and got me a job in about two weeks. The interview process is super effective, and gives the clients more than a sheet of paper to look at, they give them a video resume as well to send across your actual personality. Much more effective than a stack of papers saying the same things! They follow up with you after interviews to see how it went and are actually supportive. This agency does not respond to you. I was pursued by them and was ghosted. To me that is not very professional. I was more than qualified for the position. However, even if I was not a fit, they could at least let me know. I even sent a thank you email. Nothing. Crickets. read more

After using AppleOne for two and a half months, I had a total of one interview, and was submitted for a total of two jobs. The company I had the interview with ended up hiring someone that AppleOne didn't even suggest. The person I worked with at AppleOne wasn't professional, I felt like I was talking to a high schooler based on how she treated me and my qualifications and skills. I've used other employment agencies in the past and they provided short term work immediately and one assignment eventually led to a permanent position for me. I was really disappointed with AppleOne and the "services" they provided. I got a job on my own thankfully, but I won't be considering AppleOne ever again if I need an employment agency. If you use AppleOne, be sure to continue your own job search because that's more likely to land you a job. read more

Just a note to say that Hema Patel with AppleOne stood out SO much among recruiters from the 8 staffing services that I contacted upon unexpectedly learning that I would be losing my job in June of 2018. I had been laid off in a "Workforce Reduction" in 2015, and was so excited about having the opportunity to find my dream job. That did not happen. It took me 4 months back then to find ANY job, and 11 months to find the job that I was losing. It was no longer about passion, but just survival. Hema was the only recruiter who was able to make me feel positive, hopeful, and who inspired me to update my resume with tips that she freely gave me when we met in person. Hema is clearly very busy, but responds by Facebook Messenger - a wonderful use of modern technology! :) Two of my references who talked with Hema actually came back to me and told me how inspiring Hema was. One was in a negative job situation herself, and said that if she hadn't found something through networking - that she would have used Hema, too. Though I did not find my job through AppleOne, redoing my resume based on Hema's suggestions helped me find one through another staffing service before my 3-week deadline was up. I have since felt inspired to update my LinkedIn profile to match. I can't thank Hema enough for getting me out of a huge slump and inspiring me to do the work with hope in sight. She was not competitive and encouraged me to use AppleOne as a safety-net, whereas other staffing services were very concerned about who else I was working with. I have been an employee of AppleOne for a little over 8 months, and I must say it was the first employment agency that I have ever worked for. It has been a wonderful experience. I have heard a lot of complaints about most agencies not helping to find employment, but AppleOne (Kathy Taylor) went above an beyond to find the best employer that fit my experience and skills.
