Please beware of this company!!! I applied through LinkedIn and took me to their website. I submitted my application (Name, resume, number, and [incorrect]ZIP CODE) and was called immediately. Less than 10 minutes. I found that to be red flag #1... After talking to the recruiter, he told me that this is an in person position, but the application said 100% remote. He also told me that it was in South San Francisco(Different city in Bay Area). When applying, the position was for SF. He confirmed the address was the same building as Salesforce in SF. I clarified if I would be a consultant working for Salesforce and he mentioned that it was directly with Spectraforce. He was inconsistent with the location. I told him that I wouldn't be available for interviews until AFTER the holiday weekend, Labor day. And insisted that it was just sat/sun and didn't know what Labor day was..... He really couldn't answer my questions straight and was starting to say other things. Eventually he asked to call me back in 5 minutes to "talk to his manager." I did a quick google search and found that other people were getting scammed of information. When the recruiter called me back, I asked more clarifying questions and he wasn't able to answer them. I eventually told him that I would have to politely decline and hung up. GOING TO BLOCK THEIR EMAIL ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER. I SUGGEST AVOIDING. So many inconsistencies and red flags. Another 'off shore' recruitment firm. They often fish sites like Indeed for people they might recruit. If you unknowingly send them a resume they'll spam you for every badly paying job they have in your area. They clearly never read or assess resumes to see if someone would be a fit for a role, and even after you tell them you have no interest they keep harassing you. Making $70-90k In finance? Your background is in HR and most jobs in the area are paying at least $50k? You've been a receptionist your whole 20 year career? You have no blue collar skills?Cool! How about this $17/hr job in manufacturing where you're gaurenteed to be let go In Three month? You can't even make rent on what we pay? Who cares! We clearly don't! We're here for the quick buck If we can find someone desperate enough to work for us. For all the post screaming 'they're a scam!' No, sadly they are not... they're all too real. I keep getting calls from Spectraforce. Every time they call me, it is for jobs to far away for me to travel by public transportation and often jobs I am uninterested in. I have told them several times that I am only interested in remote jobs now because of a leg wound I have that does not heal. Well, today I got another call for a job but it was remote. The woman on the other end of the line Saloni Yadav kept talking instead of sending me the information by email, she decides to read it to me and her accent is so thick I can't understand most of what she says. Finally and predictably, she asked for my birthdate and last 4 of my SSN. I told her flat out I couldn't provide it and she thanked me and hung up. However, there were two things that stood out to me about her contacting me: First, she sent me an email explaining who she was, what company she works for, who the company is, etc. Second, she called me and left a voicemail (because I had "Do Not Disturb" turned on) telling me the EXACT same thing that the email said. I ran into a similar experience with recruiters supposedly from another company based in Japan, NOT this one. The scammers use the name of a legit company to draw you in. They contacted my via email stated that they saw my resume on a popular job posting site. Flag #1: I did NOT make my resume visible to all. Flag #2: A recruiter contacted my by phone then I was instructed to use a chat service to communicate with a "hiring director". Flag #4: He asked for contact info (address, phone number, email). That info is on my resume. Flag #5: I became really suspicious when the email address was from a gmail account, then an aol account. They had an excuse for this, of course. I contacted the company they claimed to represent but did not get a response. Flag #6: The use of poor English grammar. I had this chat "interview" that consisted of me answering a multitude of questions. Then a few minutes later, I was told that I met the qualifications and was hired. Then they wanted more info. I told them that before I send additional info, they needed to give me their official company email address that they represented. I did not hear anything back after that. The experience made me so nervous, I contacted my bank for any suspect activity. Luckily, my credit reports were already frozen. read more

I later received a text from them at nearly 8pm (red flag #2). Had a cold call from a recruiter for this company. They most likely got my resume off a job seeking site. Advised me for a position within the area. I was interested until they told me they would need last 4 of SS# and month and day of birth in order to create a "unique user ID". I advised I don't give that information over the phone and would provide that information once I had a written job offer contingent upon background check which is sop for all hiring companies. They advised they could not move forward unless I provided that information and I could check their website for legitimacy. I have to echo most of the others on this page--STAY AWAY. This is one of the most disorganized agencies I've ever experienced. Not only are they difficult to understand, the level of communication between them has to be nonexistent. I applied for an admin position 3 weeks ago. A few days later, I got a message on my phone from a thickly-accented woman clearly reading a script: "We haven't met, however your resume came across my desk as someone I should get to know". On a whim, I decided to call her back. She asked me a few questions (which were difficult to understand) and when she got to "Can you speak English?" I wanted to say, "Yes, can you?", but knowing there may be a job, I held back. She said that someone would get in touch with me the following day at 3:30. 3:30, 4:00, 4:30--NO CALL. I called them and after several minutes of a delightful hold-and-transfer merry-go-round, I hung up. Since then, I've received three calls a day from different "recruiters", each with the same "We haven't met, however..." spiel. Don't you COMMUNICATE with each other as to whom you've called?
