I think what actually brought me here the first time was when I decided "I haven't had a physical in awhile. I should go get one." and looked around for doctors. I discovered that nowadays, you're hard-pressed to find individual doctors, so I went for the clinic, and CMA seemed to have good reviews. Since then, I've had a few physicals, gone in a few times with illnesses. Every time, I have been treated well, promptly, curing whatever I came in with and helping with whatever they find. So like today? Just the physical? They reassured me most of my vitals were fine, pointed to the one that was a little out of whack, and presented suggestions for how to fix it. Sat patiently with me to discuss until we were on the same page. VERY friendly and thorough. And that even goes to the desk staff. I have never had a bad experience with any person at CMA, never had a misdiagnosis or the wrong meds. Nothing. OK, a couple of times I got a charge for the blood work they did, but this time I think we've learned, tell them up front it's diagnostic and not preventative. Again, even the separate-building blood lab (which I think moved into a new, larger space) is friendly and helpful. #CMA4EVA

My primary care provider is empathetic, considerate, communicative, and reliable. She actually listens to and addresses my concerns and has helped me manage my medications and conditions, even during financial hardships. Flexible payment options, excellent staff who do a wonderful job reminding you of and setting up appointments, and easily accessible information through the online portal makes this the best primary care practice I have ever been a patient of.

I also need my diabetes medication refilled. The person I was speaking to in the phone informed me that I needed a physical to get the prescription filled. I said I understand hence my call to schedule the visit. I was told my physician is still out so I opted for another male physician. I was told he was scheduled out to November and I would need to see a different physician or a nurse practitioner who are female. I was not comfortable with this and was abruptly told that was it. No refill of my critical prescription unless I scheduled with the person or their choice, not mine. In what world does a doctors office dictate the physician you have to see vs. the one you want. One you know and knows your personal history. Now I have to find a new doctor after being a patient for the past 20 years. The person I was speaking to is named Pam. I will advise anyone looking for a physician in the Montville, NJ area to avoid Montville Family Practice Associatesas they really do not care about you or your health.

Plus not one time I was able to get an appointment with an actual doctor. I swear they must not even be working at this time. All you ever get is the nurse practitioner. Even when I say I wait. Its a shame because the two doctors there are decent enough. Their staff and lack of hours will ruin this practice. A good name is valuable doctors please do something about putting more hours in and getting rid of your rude staff! How do you put your name even on this practice and feel good about it.

Finally, after days of a chest cold and having no intent of driving into the City I broke down and went to see Dr. Aasmaa. I am now a believer! First of all, they had an appointment available next day which was great. Secondly, the front office staff was so pleasant and helpful I thought I died (pun intended) and went to medical heaven. The icing cake was Dr. Aasmaa herself. She was knowledgeable, patient and quite the listener. Her compassion was amazing and she genuinely wanted to hear how I was feeling and how she could help get me better!!!! Now for the negative. Well...there is no negative. It keeps getting better. I needed a prescription renewal and it was approved immediately for the mail in drug company. For over 30 years, Dr. Stack has provided the best and most caring services to his clients. My parents, in their 80s were going to a doctor because they were passing a cold back and forth. Their doctor said, "What do you expect? You're old." I said that's enough of that and I took them both to Dr. Stack who treated them. They recovered and NEVER got sick again. Dad lived to 94 and mom to 98.5 years of age. Dr. Stack cares and he is the most thorough and thoughtful doctor. I highly recommend him to anyone even if you have to drive a ways to see him.

No muss no fuss I'm sick I need to get in and out and they do that well for me. I generally get recurrent sinus infections and he doesn't mess around I get a z-pack and some nasal steroids and mucinex and it works every time. He spends a good amount of time with each patient and makes sure all your questions are answered. All of his office staff are pleasant and do their best to accommodate you. They have definitely upgraded within the last year or so, he now holds night hours (I have no idea when this poor guy gets to have a life), and they always had Saturday hours I think they still do. They will take blood at the office for your so physicals are great cuz it's a one stop shop. I needed an extra test once, an EKG and they have a relationship with a group that comes in and runs them out of his office--they called and cleared everything with my insurance for me and I was able to come back a week later to have the test done--again nice and easy. My only concern is that because he is such a good doctor his patient base is HUGE and sometimes it can be rough to get an appt. Be warned, physicals are usually scheduled MONTHS in advance so if you need one don't delay, also when everyone is sick it's a little harder to get in but now with night hours although 10pm might not be preferable when you're sick it's better than having to go to urgent care. He's a great doctor and gets the job done.
